it sounds like some individuals who come from a certain party of when they dont like something or an opinion they attack the messenger and/or they are all for free speech but only the type on the left. Krull can disagree with the product, that's his right as a purchaser of the game that cost 53 bucks. We can almost all agree that a BMW is a solid vehicle. Do you think BMW would put out a Hugo and just slap a BMW template on it? heck no! Like I said before, Battlefront does have some responsibility with the production of this game or else the next time they promote a product they need to think twice about the product. All I hear from people is excuses, Battlefront-admit that you didnt do the homework and that you will look at in-house reasearch to make sure it doesnt happen again. Plus, its good that we can agree to disagree and for thos eindividuals who dont like something KEEP COmplaining

i knew this post would get a reply, i am wrong for buying a game before testing the demo. However, this was the one instance where I decided to disregard my own advice. Sometimes, Demos dont actually give you a clear picture but it probably would have on this game plus reading all these posts I wouldn't have purchased. My fault but I placed trust in Battlefront. I figured that if they place their name on a product that it would be good. Guess I was wrong and I will be a little bit more careful in the future, i'll await combat mission campaigns but then again I just might not buy based on this experience. From now on DON'T buy a game until its OUT at Least 6 Months

Any idea of when a patch will come out and/or are they actually working on one?

billy bob is right, read any book on eastern front tank warfare and to kill a tiger required some numbers and this game is bells and whistles without what we want.

most of us pre ordered the game believing the reputation that when battlefront crew releases something it will be tested and ready for gaming with some minor tweaks released as small patches later on. However, I have always been a believer in checking out a demo before "Buying" and this has saved me a lot of money. Battlefront convinced me to pre-order and I guess they did a good "Selling" campaign. I should have followed my gut instinct and that's my fault but the next time something comes out I will wait a while before I purchase and that means I probably won't get it. Even though its not actually there game they are still involved in its production and should think real hard before placing the company name on a product no matter who developed it. Krull is correct

i agree with kebren and my experience over the last 15 years of computer games is that at times a game will be released "Sort of finished" and then they will wait for all the complaints and then release a patch and guess what We do all the beta testing. I mean even with the camera controls, why recreate the "Wheel" The controls from the Combat Mission games was perfect, easy to rotate, zoom by key stroke and all that, why change everything? They should have also realized that most of the purchasers would be hard core gamers. Trust me, I play Battlefield 2 quite often and I ask players on teamspeak if they ever played battlefront games and all of them say "NO" They have no clue they exist. Why? This is for the serious gamer and most of us want realistic as best as possible computer opponent and less of the eye candy. The graphics can always be tweaked but its really the AI competition.

Stug- I was on the mission of basic training the second one down from the first training "block" I had to assault the trenches did the first one then it got rid of my first three tanks and added three others on the right of the screen going northwards and thats when it locked up

i had a freeze during the second training scenario when you have to capture the trenches and flank with the 2 tanks. If it happens quite a bit I will await the patches. I will try to turn the bells and whistles off to see if it happens since my system is VERY stable in all games

good suggestion and perhaps that can be included on the patch but I am sure a add on will come along for $ 19.99, more money out of your pocket

well, i wish i would have read the post before buying since I rather play a hard core ww2 game instead of "Another" game that tries to cater to the RTS crowd. I mean, they have enough games to play and why do we need to cater to that crowd unless its a way to make money which of course is the purpose of this whole enterprise. However, the game should be marketed that way. I will purchase the campaign game of cmbb but I hope its directed and sold to the hard core gaming community instead of pulling in the RTS gamers who rather play Warcraft and Rise of Nations along with the Empire Earth series.

This is the most frustrating part of the game for me so far, plus the game locked up during one of the training battles. What is the best way to use the camera or what does everyone prefer to use?

i usually wait until after a game is released to read the comments and I sort of wished I did follow my own advice on this one and saved myself 45 dollars. I am starting to think that this is another example of 3/4 completion product without enough input from the people who enjoy these type of games. After reading the comments, most of the problems described should have been identified and worked on since this game was for hard core gamers? Or the general population of gamers? I like the CM method of placing orders and then letting it play. If I want a clickfest I can go play Starcraft, Rise of Nations and Warcraft. I hope I can get used to the game if not, a quick delete and sell the game on Ebay.

i tried the training boot camp and it looked fairly well and the game installed very easily. I just have to make sure it didnt change anything to my other programs like Battlefield 2. I have all the combat mission games and I liked the ease of those games. What looks interesting in this game is the ability to increase characteristics of your soldiers from each battle. This is very similar to the old panzer general series and Steel Panthers World at War. I like that idea of progressing. Furthermore, the graphics look fine and I'll have to get used to the commands via the keyboard and mouse. Anyone want to play a game online for a "what the heck lets try this thing" and who cares about the score look me up. I'll write back after a few games are done

all i hope for is that the game plays well and if it doesnt and is crappy it will be the last thing I buy from Battlefront since I could have tried the demo and saved myself 50 bucks

i preordered and i bet no demo will happen since we might be disappointed it cost me 8 bucks shipping, way to MUCH (ripoff) I am disappointed, this game better hold me over for a while at 53 dollars

I purchased the game and I only have a 2.4 but 1 gb ram and a nvidia video card. I play Battlefied 2 well and I hope the game has some tweaks to reduce the video display and game play, It stinks that they keep making this stuff hard to play for us gamers who have a system that might be 15 - 24 months old, battlefront will find out that the game might not sell as wished

Hi, I downloaded the game and when I tried to install i came up with this dialogue box documents and settings\howard\local settings\temp\F2C2_.CAB verify that the file exists and that you can access it. not sure of why any help is appreciated

Hi SC, I was able to open my LINKsys and go to the page after typing in admin for passwords. It has a few links for port forwarding, port triggering etc. I am curious about which to put down and my computer is at home and I am the only one who uses it. I clicked on the system tray icon and it says my IP address is 192.168.xx.xxx i also went to whatismyip and it came back with 66.24.xxx.xxx. I have 7023 checked and should I do anything else with the router?

Should I follow the advice on the bottom of the manual on page 249? I know a little bit about comps but I dont want to mess the entire system up, thanks guys and if you want to help me online we can do that, yahoo im halo1970 thanks

hi guys, i read this post and I am having the same problem. Through the windows firewall I have both cmak and cmbb checked for exceptions but it allows me to open TCP port 7023 for cmak and if I try the same thing for CMBB it comes back with port already open. I am using a router (LINKSYS) and when i connected to an opponent it gave me a 66.24. address and then I checked my own and it also came back with the same IP address? I placed my pointer on the system tray at bottom of screen and i come back with a IP address of 192.168.xx.xxx. Now I read all the directions but I have no clue about how to work this router config. I also wonder if I should have a problem with both cmak and cmbb using the same port? Thanks and i did have this problem once before, not being able to host but able to play with someone else when they hosted
