  1. Nah. I prefer to be a savory dish, covered from head to foot in vegemite. Mace </font>
  2. You've obviously never had mustard on a spoon with a dash of sugar and a gentle sprinkling of cinnamon on top. Now THAT'S good eatin'!
  3. From what I've read, the MG-34 had much closer tolerances than the MG-42 and needed much stricter maintenance and was more prone to jamming. I spent a considerable amount of time in the field with both the M-60 and the SAW and you'd be surprised at what will jam a weapon.
  4. You have to hold your camera very close to your monitor so that you don't get anything outside the screen in the picture.
  5. MS Paint is ok for doing some minor adjustments to an existing mod, but to use it for a total rework would be like trying to build a house with a screwdriver and a holepunch. I highly recommend Paintshop Pro if you want to get into modding. It can be had for far less $$$ than a copy of Photoshop.
  6. The first of these should be ready pretty soon and will be at CMMOD's as soon as it's done. These should also work for CMAK. I've started with the ausf J. It took quite awhile to get the cast idler to look right, so that slowed things down abit. The late J with the Flammentoeter exhaust was most commonly seen with a different idler wheel than the tubular steel idler on the G's and H's as is pictured above. I'll probably do ambush and tricolor for this one, with winter versions of both. There'll also be an option for no schuerzen as well. I've tried to do the Thoma shield mesh skirts like were included with some mods in CMBO, but they haven't turned out to my satisfaction. The ones from CMBO won't work as the mesh looks wierd when viewed up close.
  7. Yep, and no fiddly bits of photo-etch to fumble with repeatedly until it's lost in the carpet.
  8. Ah... I guess I didn't recall correctly.
  9. IIRC, the first time you run CM after install, it asks you to choose a display resolution. It begins with the 800x600 (I believe) and gives the option to click "next" to move to the next larger size. Just go into your CM folder in C\Program Files and delete the "preferences" file. It will ask you to choose the resolution you want to use again the next time you run the game.
  10. The "correct" phonetics would be Charlie Mike Baker Oboe and Charlie Mike Able King...for late war. For early war Charlie Monkey Ack King and Charlie Monkey Beer Beer. I suspect the later might be popular with this crowd. Had this inversion been called Combat Mission: Mediterranean (CMMN) it would have been Charlie Monkey Monkey Nuts. </font>
  11. I noticed that too. For the infantry and naval troops, there's only a helmet option and the read me included. The uniform bmps seem to be missing.
  12. Get the bundle... I did, and I'm very glad I did. Both games are excellent. Aren't the Russian infantry mostly conscripts in Yelnia Stare? They're likely to break at the sound of a gnat's fart. **Sorry, I noticed where you mentioned it wasn't just the conscripts right after I posted this**
  13. I got the same error ("class not registered") and then it would try to connect to the internet to find a codec. I found a fix though, but it's a little time consuming. Open whatever files that won't play with Windows sound recorder and press "save". WMP will play them after that. I found a problem with Real Player too... it will put huge spaces in some of the wav files so that a 6 second file will take around 18-20 seconds to play and the file will be really choppy... maybe two seconds of sound, then a 5 or 6 second gap and then one or two seconds of sound again, etc. The open and save with Sound Recorder fixed that too.
  14. I thought that incident was in the Market Garden episode, which would've been Sept '44.
  15. I noticed that I goofed on the mantlet though, and carried the zimmerit too far into the center. I'll post the corrected piece on CMMODs if you want to d/l that.
  16. That was the stock art that came with CMAK. I just added the zimmerit pattern to it. The stock art in the game is really good.
  17. This is the default art for the CMAK Tiger I Mid, I just added zimmerit to it. This one will work for CMBB too. I'm posting it at CMMODS right after I post this pic.
  18. I'm looking for JorgeMC's panzer crew uniforms as well as a plain dunkelgelb Jagdpanther mod someone did, but I can't for the life of me remember who. I think it was the only one of it's kind though, at least at CMMOD's.
  19. I'll do my best. I'll probably release these as a pack and you can just pick and choose those you want to use. I've got two weeks off work recovering from hernia surgery- starting today, so I should have LOTS of free time to work on 'em.
  20. I've started on a project to correct the running gear and maybe do some different cammo schemes on the Panzer IV's G/H/ and J. Here's an early rough sketch. The running gear is closer to correct now, but there's still a lot of work to be done. I just figured I'd put an early preview up. ** The tricolor version is close to done I think. May still dirty it up/weather it Schweinestall style. I'm not totally sure if I really like it yet, though, so I thought I'd see what you guys thought. The cammo pattern is a combination of a 12.SS scheme and one from 20.PD that I had color plates of. *** Here's a pic of the same with the "no Schuerzen" option: **** Ok... the ambush scheme is just about ready I think. Still needs the skirts finished and the dirt/weathering: [ January 15, 2004, 11:16 PM: Message edited by: Dressler ]
  21. Try hitting Ctrl-F5 after you log in. It'll force the page to load. That's the only way I've been able to get to it so far.
  22. That mod looks good. I believe that model used the 3.5 HP Briggs & Stratton engine though, so it looks like you might be missing the recoil starter and the leaf bagger attachment. I've included a reference pic of the starter from Jentz and Doyle's "Small Garden Tillers and Riding Lawnmowers of the Second World War" if you decide to add it.
