I'm thinking its a date stamp. I find if I get Norway early I get the troops.........if left late, ei '41 or so you don't get them. This has been my experience anyway.

Tac bombers can be upgraded in Naval warfare (max2) and anti tank (max3) You research these and you can up grade them. As far as protection from fighters...........you got to pair them up ith friendly air.

Playing a tourney game vs. Lars, Its mid '42 and on the Diploma list Finland is no longer on it. Its still suppling me and I have not DoW it. Is it a possicle bug? I've noticed it in a few other games I've played.

Sure thing Tims...........Lars and I are into early 1942 and russia heating up. Lars Allied and me Axis. A quick update. Poland fell early as did Denmark, Belgium, France and Norway. Axis took Tunisia and Libyia (italians) and Vichy France. Tobruk is an Italian strong hold, Monty's troops took a look see and got a bloody nose and retreated. July '41 Axis attack Russia and make good ground, also launches offensive in Spain. Fall of '41 Spain under the axis jackboot. Winter '41 Axis on the doorstep of moscow, Lenigrad falls. Mass of Russian troops seen around Moscow, minor skirmishes with losses both sides. Spring '42 Malta falls to axis forces, AF transfer to the eastern front to add there weight to the fight. American cruiser spotted near Asores (sp?) Decided not to go after Eygpt.............mistake or smart.........we will see. American buildup probable........expect offensive in '43............but where is the question. The battle continues.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh...........so this one is for all the marbles eh. Better be careful then.

Interesting style I must say. Though the London gambit (ie not taking it) is a bit iffy.........doesn't make for a fun allied game I suppose.

Have never won that as axis. Best I've done is win the '43 campaign.
