  1. this can get complicated I think, because troop quality would have to be considered. A "green" unit would probably react to fleeing russians, and fire away at them, where as a "crack unit" would follow orders given. War is based so much on circumstances that how can you tell what a unit would do in a given situation. I understand that there are situations where you would pretty much know what a given unit would do, but there are some that are iffy, so in the situation as far as using smoke or firing at the enemy, all I can say is good luck to the programmer that can program this into the game, and I think if anyone can it would more then likely be BFC who could.
  2. Shifty is almost right BUUUTT, mods do effect the game play, or should we say the computer your playing CMBB on. The Hires mods can slow down your puter, that's why you will see at the data base mods labeled "Lores", for older or slower machines, (300mhz,350mhz,etc..) CMBB tends to be a resource hog on the graphics, so modders used to make Lores mods for the folks with the slower machines so the game would run better ( you will see a bunch of mods like this for CMBO)
  3. I don't mind a little blue spot,at all, just wondering on how big was all thanks, and I will install it, always liked your work with CMBO, you were one of the folks that got me interested in modding, thanks
  4. oh yeah the AI, played pretty sensible on this one too
  5. agianst the AI, I found the battle feild easy to work with the units on and the balance pretty good
  6. I still am playing both. I started with CMBO and started modding with CMBB. I'am working on some mods for CMBO, and to be honest it seems easier to mod the CMBO tanks and such then the CMBB, strange, I guess it's just how I think about modding, who knows
  7. Hey DD, one ??, in your read me text you mention something bout a "Blue Spot" on the Steppe grass, exactly what type of blue spot and how big??
  8. after you reply to so many posts you become a "Big BOY Member" lol, really it doesn't matter if your a "Junior" or "big boy" member it's all the same really, but all jokes set aside, all it does is change it from junior member to member, and that and a quarter still won't buy you jack
  9. Oh yeah, I'm working on a FTP server now, should have it up in a few days, and I will have only Combat mision files and some pics of my WWII junk there. I will also offer space for the big downloads to go, to kinda get the load off of cog and the data base.
  10. AAAHH yes downloading both parts at 93KBS, muck, better on my T1 connection, thanks DD, and Gordon
  11. Really nice OP, this a great one well balanced and enjoyable to play
  12. I might be mistaken though, but I couldv'e sworn I seen a post somewhere.
  13. I seen a post where MadMatt was offering the "Combat Mission HQ" for your mod DD.
  14. Holy SHi---, DD I'm on T1, and the download would take 8hrs!!, the database has a major traffic jam going on. I won't even try to uplaod a mod, man I hope this mod of yours comes out as good as it looks, Gunslingers had some probs, but wasn't as big a DL
  15. oops, here is the link for the new folks http://www.cmmods.com/ (best mod site around for CMBB)
  16. Posted it here, tried some experimental styles, I think it will give my future mods a even more wintery feel to them.
  17. good, point, I guess I got "snow blind", I have done so many of these mods, that when I go in game to test, I have other PZs that have the same snow effects on them, they all blend together, so it looks pretty darn good, on a winter batlefield, I have to take into consideration that there are other mods out there that have been done in a differnt style, therefore I have to blend my mods in better to match the stle of the other mods. Thanks for the feed back, believe it or not it is a great help.
  18. I grabbed it Andrew, and it looks great, thank god I have my Cable back, I could hardly download or uplaod any mods, how do the dial up folks deal with it lol
  19. I meant to say that I noticed it looked out of place in a winter battle so I gave it a winter look, sorry, it's late
  20. or you can call it yhe "PzIIL" lynx, I noticed in a winter battle it looked out of place it's posted, here http://www.cmmods.com/ I hope you like it, some feed back on this mod would be nice.

  22. I don't own one but check here for one .http://www.stewartsmilitaryantiques.com/
  23. Also, I found the mod I downloaded and there wasn't a readme or credits text. I have a idea by the modding style who it may be, but I'm not sure so I will leave it at that, reason being I have winterized it and had not changed any of the original details that were added to the mod
