  1. I'm sure you are right, the death toll since this all began is nearly 3000. I am basing my observations here solely on the video clips that have been posted in this thread. I'm thinking that the guy with the cell phone camera taking these particular clips is content to stay as far away as possible from the real dangerous action.
  2. You moved? They allow donkeys in your new town?. Do they require your services to carry large loads across rough terrain?
  3. You have to realize that these filmed acions are relatively low intensity, long distance encounters. There are no direct assaults, ambushes or any major firefights between the combatants. As you said it is mostly strolling down village streets, conversaions between the fighters, and an occasional sound of gunfire or mortar fire. This is not real combat, not even as depicted in CM. Like I said earlier, it looks more like urban turf battles between street gangs. The only really dangerous stuff going on from what I can tell from news reports are the artillery duels, which fall into suburban neighborhoods and Ukrainian industrial infrastructure. Rebel forces getting most heavy stuff from the Russians, who seem to be quite satisfied to keep this level of fighting active. I think any serious battles with high body counts would tend to affect public opinion.
  4. They have the ability and discipline of a half-assed street gang. I realize that most of them are mugging for the camera, but they don't seem to have much combat effectiveness. Scarey.
  5. Joe, I have not upgraded yet! Don't mock the MBT, you could risk having a Fatwa placed against you!
  6. do I have to quite you twice, dope! You'll come a waltz'n Matilda with me.
  7. Where is the latest game turn? I prefer to call them Chit Chats, it pisses off the Aussies.
  8. Did not look it up, after the drudgery of playing CM with Noba for nearly 12 years, and having to put up with his constant chattering about Aussie Rules Football and other sports that no one else on Earth plays, I have become a regular visitor to SportsFan.com/au and other AFL related sites in order to make him feel good and believe that I actually care about the game. Call me a maroon, I call it just being prepared.
  9. Actually he plays for the West Coast Eagles, I think. Which is a surprisingly comprehensible name for an AFL team. The other guy plays for Geelong, which are simply, and once again comprehensibly (for Australia), know as the cats. The type of cat is not known, but since there are no big wild cats native to Down Under, I'm assuming they are named The Geelong Ferocious Housecats.
  10. Well, apparently he is from Kalifornia, which will either dry up and blow away, burn to a small pile of ash, or break off from the continent and slide into the Pacific, not necessarily in that order. So I don't expect him to be around for long.
  11. May I direct you to the vacuum chamber, you can draw all you like in there.
  12. I'm so glad you took the time to stand up and declare yourself scum!
  13. Using your scientific knowledge, can you determine genetically if ng cavscout is human or some other species entirely? As a layman I have my doubts that he is Homo Sapiens.
  14. The progressive New Deal Programs of the 1930's live on. I wonder how much American taxpayer money went into the creation of this archive. Not entirely priceless. Is it money well spent? Maybe, but the Government doesn't care. it's not their money. Still, it probably contains things that are of interest to folks on these Forums. [/rant]
  15. http://nyti.ms/1r2ecWv This is a timely and apropos article.
  16. I forgot to mention earlier, that YOU do not qualify as multi-faceted or multi-talented, much to our general disappointment. You are however malodorous, which when you are present gives the Cespool its distinct mildewy scent. Merry Unbirthday!!
  17. We are a multi-faceted, multi-talented bunch, perhaps some of it might rub off on your uncultured ass.
  18. The war was won in the West, after Gettysburg the fighting in Virginia and the East was a sideshow. I sent a renamed file, hoping that will work better.
  19. What you are describing here sounds very familiar to the system used in the "Onion Wars" campaign some years back using CMBB to fight localized battles created from a much larger operation area. You can check out this old foum post, but I haven't tried any of the website locations to see if they are still valid. http://www.combatmission.com/community/showthread.php?t=89895
  20. If you clicked there, you would have seen that this is National Suicide Prevention Week. I would encourage you to ignore that and go ahead with your plans to slit your wrists.
  21. Sure, TYPO... the common excuse of the illiterate.
  22. I no longer play the CMx1 games. can't run them anymore. CMAK was the last to go, they were like old friends, it was hard to say goodbye. Do you have Red Thunder? I also have CMBN and FI, but I have not upgraded them yet. Well ng cavscout if it is satisfaction you want, it is what you will get, in spades!
