That is the great thing about a great game! you have to figure it out yourself, you think of a strategy and run with it. There are so many dif strategy's There will be a great deal of diffrnce in your stategy while playing the computer or a real person. I would believe that playing the computer you have no real need for devlpment, you should be able to beat him with might.(at least from what I have seen on the demo) But playing a human you are going to need lots of units, Just to survive at games end, and to cover all your fronts. So any devlpment would prob be industrial. Becouse you will most defenatly be going through alot of units. A unit maxed out on medals and only a power of six can withstand almost anything. (he will hold a city, even if totaly surrounded.) -------------------------------------------------- THIS IS BASED ON A GERMAN PLAYER ONLY -------------------------------------------------- Of course when the full game comes out we will know more about what a hight Teck unit can do. (might just blitz through that Elite defened city!) AS allies you would probly do more devlpment and just play a good defensive game. Anyhow this is only a thought on how a guy could play it safe and win. (Without getting too sneaky) Of course any devlpment you do have you will have to be able to buy those units, or keep the ones you do have. To answer your question, the allies in WWII won by numbers.(germans out classed them all the way!) But in this game who knows? You can change the outcome. (If you play as german) You will have to have some sort of strategy in any case. Devlpment could mean nothing to you in a game, then in the course of that game you might have to buy some just to counter your enimy's strategy. Dont really know have not messed with devlpment much.

The fact that It sucks all my time up playing It. The fact that my eyeball is about to fall out if I look at this screen much longer. The fact that I am in a group of geeks all day! The fact that this game is more like Axis and Allies than Third Riech. The fact that I have over 100 other games and play only this one. the fact that I dont have the full game yet! The fact that I piss in a bottle while playing the game, not bothering to run to the out house. :eek: well I have a few more but I will leave it at that.

Should a could a would a! Everybody stood in fear of the german war machine! The RAF went hiding in the fields. Only GOD saved them at dunkirk.

I just got started playing hot seat. and I was wondering, what would be A margenal victory for the german player at games end? I think I know what it takes to beat the computer. For a total victory. MY thinking is that if germany is still alive at game end Victory! So far 1vs1 does not feel good. I am allies and all's I have to do is play a defence and I have it. The fact that I know where the starting point is for everything, does not help. I am not buying the game for the AI.

I think maybe I have to have a land unit by the port to see the value?

AH! Russia was a prob but not when I plundered the UK! sweeeeeing!!! I have a feeling, when I play a two player game, I am going to get hammered! ( I want to be allies :eek: ) I noticed that you cant always see the port controll value?

Who is them?

I usually go for UK on second turn. dont move fleet past norway denmark two hex sea zone move right up to there. trans norway and every body else you can first turn (no move past)leave the guy in norway far port so britt attack them. move Hq and two other units to kiel rdy for transport. you can move sub down and thay will come after it then you have your air rdy to take them out. build cruiser in low country port and thay will wast there fleet there. I usually build battleship. move atlantic sub down so as to send the rest of fleet there. the rest is history! when spain joins up send units to the port of bordeaux and send to amarica to shut them off. by that time you should have france and send german to bordeaux you can get three transport fleets at once there. Have fun!

I have captured london and manchester many times befor and know surrender? In fact I had london and manchester for at least one turn if not two before UK surrendered. I believe you must destroy enough units as well, to get them to surrender.

I actually got the UK to surender! I really dont get it though I did not get the city up north (just a matter of time) was pulling back to def. agianst Russia, invaded amarica, just for decoy held boston and walked into philly had all oil and mines in Amarica, but no real foot hold. The britt fleet was crippled and in noth Amarica. It got froggy and sent a 7 factor fleet after one of my transports (panzer), and I sent a sub and left it with 0ne factor. And at the end of my turn UK had surrendered? Was the surrender of UK due to the attack and killing of the fleet factors?

I really never messed around with the allies. Now I know I dont want to play them on a one player game. First few games germany never got a foot hold in france? I like the one turn transport to calais, provided you have a fleet in port. I mean why would anyone want to change the outcome of the war for the allies? unless you can save france. and I figure if I can hold them back in the demo I should be able to do the same thing in the full game, and stop them from ever getting france! Looks to me like the hackers have won already. Was this something new? sounds like you have a War on right now. 'Hacker hags' ruined It for us? Dont understand how that is possible? Are you looking for respect from the hackers, or just understanding? Looks to me like everybody loves your game, even the hackers, Now you just declared war on them. Now it is a matter of who can out compute who? How did Hags come into this forum and set it on a diff. course? I was told that this is what you guys are not about! I am sure plnty of people will love your game and buy It. Well I do hope it all works out for you.

I will pay for Hags Deed. $50 A copy? Just do it already! You have something we want, and now you hold it from us becouse of some voo-doo b#!ll! I have done all I can with the demo. Just dont say you were going to come out with it but now??? Becouse I really dont care! I no nothing about computers (even less about how to spell),Just a gamer and yours is the best in town. so I will probly put little time in the demo and you and your game will just fade away. If I get around to it I will check for any update on the full game in about six months. Its been fun! later dates.

I thnk Hags got a little excided, when he found out that he could continue the game. Dont know the guy, think he likes wargames, and wanted to give us something. I dont feel you should make us pay for that. I appreciate the demo thx.

sure, but why wait for the complete game? Can you master the demo? I always find more to take! Why wait for the game???
