here is my two cents worth playing allies I have tried some crazy stuff I have learned to try and play as if the fog of war was off :confused: Plain and simple. As Russia; you might want to pray :eek: After that I Just run! I don't make it a practice reinforcing units right off. take your broken down ass and put it in the back line of defense (city, behind rivers ect. operate if need be). let them entrench, reinforce when enemy is near. Russia should just pull back, and keep on pulling back! I have tried to use the Russian Armor and air agianst the Germans. it never works for me depending on your strategy? you could use the russian tanks and air along with a HQ ( you will have to buy) in Iraq. I am going to keep this short. you open a corridor to Russia through Iraq. when you operate those units back to Russia operate up north to protect moscow. let the allies guard the oil field in the south east. I think operating units is a must! use it, dont lose it! keep being able to operate units at all cost! aslo buy HQs. sell research (=three corps) if you have to. As for USA buy research lots of it Air first, maybe. then when the time is right sell research and buy armies, then atack. oh well that sums it up! later

why? why would a game be so easy for one to do this? to those that cheat, do you know you are losers is that why you cheat. you think it really matters if you win agianst one who plays with strategy and honor. If you can not win a game with your own brain power, then you should give up games. the fact that you cheat and win does not mean you are better or the best it just means that you have learned nothing in this life. to cheat steal lie just means you think everybody is as dumb as you. so grow up and have respect for yourself. know that you can compete on a even playing field with others. I play games becouse I feel that I am as good as anybody out there. and I don't need to cheat to prove it. Play for honor. not for the win. what does it really matter if you win? you will never learn strategy or the game if you focus on how to cheat. Have you ever lost a game and in the prosses you pulled a move that just blew everybody away! even though you lost, it was fun! I am a big bord gamer. I play to have fun even if I know I will lose, I play maybe just to take someone out with me. this is not real war this is a game. so you continue to cheat, it is ok (you will learn nothing). and I will continue to play and have fun. I could understand cheating if there was $ involved pardon my spelling good day!

I never said I thought rambo cheated. I was just wondering (being that I am computer illiterate, or just a illiterate) if it was possible for one to cheat. I was told that five air was the kiss of death. I get six air and it is no kiss of death! I do think rambo has picked this game apart and knows the exact numbers for everything. what this game needs is a record!!! so we can play the whole game and look at how things were done. I have never experianced troops that have four medals, or level 14 Itialian battleships. I can do nothing agianst them!!! rambo fights with honor! (exept that stunt he pulled with brianthewise.) sure I have waited all day for a game, then I see two getting together for a game, and I thought about jumping into ip but I never did. to me that would be the same as cheating! A while back I said I lost units due to the activation of vichy, well I did lose cities but I am not sure if I lost units. I just noticed that thay were not there. Hubert said thay moved back to Italy, so be it. did not notice becouse game was over. Sorry! my mistake. I love this game! but the fact that I nor anybody else can beat rambo makes it suck. I have played many good games of SC. my last game was played agianst rambo :mad: he kicks my arss every time. this last game I thought I was doing good He had totally pulled out of russia. (thought that was great). I had invaded france through brest (ustable) made landings in germany managed to capture a few city's in germany, just to give him something to do. we both had our lines drawn on the east front (Stalemate). we are piddle didleing in africa. As russia I spent alot on research. nothing! (early on I had jet level 2) germany had kept his air off the front line for some time (think he was waiting for tech) I could see all units on front line, spotted a lonly HQ decided to build up my air fleets. I waited five turns and had 6 level 2 air fleets Ok it was time to strike All my air was backed by HQ. I started to pound his HQ NO LUCK! (Oh by the way he had moved his HQ the turn I started to pound it so no entrenchment). oh well. I thought, It coast him anyway. I moved my air in the direction of any HQ I could see. I pounded anouther HQ a few turns later killed it :eek: I think all in all I elimitated two German HQs. ok good! now it was time to bust hole in the line. I reanforced all my air units ready for the attack. Next turn was going to be the starting of the end! I started to pound first unit with my air, first strike nothing second nothing 3 nothing 4 nothing 5 nothing,(this unit was not backed by any HQ that I could see, had killed it last turn) ok I thought I would keep trying. the whole year I was pounding his front line NOTHING!!! His units were like indistructible. there is nothing I could do. he had inf anti tank 1. I had five in research for some time now, nothing! he would attack my units on front line and kill half strength if not all with one blow! and would never take any hits :confused: serious I could not beleave it. What am I to do! just sit and parly with him tell my units get the same exp as his? there is something wrong here I dont know what but I know there is! Rambo exicutes most his moves with exact efficiancy. he has done some moves that I know I could never get away with. things go his way too often. Althogh he knows the mechanics of this game like no other( and I am still learning them)It should not be so. I am at a loss in the random end of this game. and that is what has killed it for me. I will continue the game I have going with rambo but it will be My last one for awhile. When you have Five jet air and can do nothin what is the use! twas a fun game for awhile. Well back to CMBB if I can find my cd :confused: I don't have any prob with rambo, But I would have to question his integrity. If a guy did what he did to me and brianthewise what next? I have played games with him and A couple of times he had dropped out and I had to restart and autosave couse his would not work. so I start mine and is a turn behind. ( how convenient)I notice he did do things diff. I dont know if there is any way a guy could cheat at this game. I dont get mad playing Games (just even). So do I count this as a victory :confused: I don't care about game :eek: I will play anybody. no matter if I win or lose. I would of liked to play tounament game, now eerything is up in arms. I dont want to even get into this one. Rambo did what thay say who cares now you have a chance agian, brianthewise. be happy

Thats what I think as well. the game works too good for him. I mean he has the angle of the dangle down to a tee. I have tried some of the same things that he does and thay never come out as good as thay do for him. I mean who attacks sweeden with two air and one army and takes it(no bombard) And Italy takes greece! one italian air and a corp and army takes it being one ground unit only attack. all on first turn of attack. What the hell makes vichy so tough? I captured satalite states and when france fell I lost my italian army and corp. one was in each colony! why! why!!! was vichy not a german ally! get it right! there should be a chance that vichy will ally with germany while france is still alive! aint that the ****t.

did you know if you are out of supply, and in a port you can go into transport mode (regain full supply) and then come back in port and do that voodoo that you do. Glich!

I would like to have anouther go I understand You are master of the german strategy. How is your Allied strat? I would like to see that. But for now I would like to get my new strategy going for the allies. so I will be on alot for the next few weeks. If you get me on this next game, I wil move to german millitary. CYA around.

I would much more prefer 3R than SC! my guess is that you had more control in 3R than SC. Who has time for bord Games anymore? Although I like what Hubert has done. I really don't think he has played 3R or many war Games? Who cares about the complexity of rules in any game if it be a computer game. I love SC cant get enough of it. It will get old in time. What we really need is a world at war computer game.

I don't think you will have a chance? use all corps that you can build some in UK and trans down. slowly replace maginal line with corps and work your way out. I disband air unit that is all you really need to do, but if you do disbant your fleet try and not get units killed so to prevent germany from conquaring france he must get every city. If you hold him off at brest you can build unit there and trans to uk. must get them off trans use port

It seems to go real good. you can get all army out and two or three corps out (all if really wanted to ) and a HQ. I am playing a few games now where I have done it( Human vs Human ). I pissed them away on one game But might of helped Russia a little. other Games not doing too bad but a little early to tell, even so If I fail I will run with it untill it works! I seem to never kill too many German units on the defence of france anyway. You can evacuate France and keep germany from taking controll untill aug 40 maybe longer if done right. one of two ways to do it. anyway u can use UK corps to rear guard and three french corps. it seems to me that Germany does not go after france untill the fourth turn. Now the one way I would like to exploit is the Brest wall. You don't lose french units (never more than about three corps) retreat to brest and have UK force withdraw back toward brest. After holding Paris. I think a guy could hold out long enough. And German units have to come all the way back, along with only one hex to attack from, so thay need air On back wall. anyway if you don't lose french units you don't lose france as long as you have a city in your control. And It seems to me that you should not use the french units until russia is at war. at that time germany will have to send a sizable force to stop them from keeping control of what ever thay go after. It is fun and it works agianst the AI real good (at the highest level)as far as getting everybody out and holding france untill nov 40 or longer.

I have played the AI at highest level and was able to place three army one HQ and a tank and two corp in UK before France fell. Still playing Waiting tell russia gets invalved and move the french agianst norway and the like, looks like a good option from here agianst the computer. was playing a human on some mod that gave the french 9 army tank HQ and other and was able to evacuate all units to uk was nice! Even though I pissed them away, had good possibillities. I know my spelling sucks, Pardon.

I can not figure out why for some reason I can not get a unit to trasport out of london? no frdly fleet no frdly trans lot or points and in city at start. I have ran into this problem a lot of my games with the AI. I am afraid that it might happen in a 1 on 1 game! and that would suck! has anybody else had this happen to them? or is there a reason for this?

at what time is it best to dump resorse points into research?

Good point! I found the best way to play allies is just to sit back and wait. play it safe, don't try to get too tricky. Of course if Germany does anything off the wall then you can probly get a little tricky. There are your standard moves stick with them.

It never really mattered to me weather Italy comes into the war sooner or not. I have found that most the time I can defend france untill aug at the very least. And as for Italy you take out there fleet with the french and use the britt fleet to blockade the Italian fleet from going anywere. But if you happen to see any German air, RUN! If you take the little city on the end of the boot you can pound the battleship in port and even block him from moving out. Move in a way as to let any Italian fleet movement be surpized by enemy contct. So in fact the sooner Italy enters the better, being that the french fleet is still there. UK will lose some but end result is Italian fleet no longer exisist. if it does thay will not be able to move far. Oh you should bring two battleships from north to med to be really effective. and don't attack them in port with your fleet. let them move out and go for the kill!

I had played a game where I destroyed all Polands units and left Warsaw alone. Russia never Annexed the baltic states. and After I delt with France I declared war on Boltic states and russia and took warsaw. The reason I left Warsaw alone was to prevent Russia from taking east poland. I am not sure it gave me a big advantage, and not sure why Russia never annexed the baltic states. But it might give you some ideas to work with. Have fun. Pardon my spelling.

Why is it I see you all in this Room but never in the opponent finder? Is there anouther place to find opponents? I have been in the room for months and play only two opponents (ip) ever. looks like people no like ip play? Also why does the free french get any fleets, if thay all were destroyed in the fall of frnce? when I play the Allies I always sacrifice the french fleet all if possible. Becouse no matter,thay get new fleets as the free french. and why do subs have no real advantage when fleet runs into them on surprize enemy contact? My German subs lose at least as much as enemy fleet on surpize contact!

Does the line give added defence or is it just the 8 entrenchment? If so attack early thay don't start with the 8 entrenched.
