MajorVictory replied to 101paratrooper's topic in Combat Mission Campaigns
Hi there, Moonfruit. You can sign me up for the tournament. I am Blitz member MajorVictory. I tried email but no reply. Also, I can't see the tournament website - only some of those broken film strip things, and no way to get any further. Cheers! -

CMMOS Update! More mods available soon
MajorVictory replied to MikeT's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
They all behave the same way. I click on the name/link, and Winzip is activated -- thus the only thing i can do is download the unzipped bmps. I know i need to place a zip file in the mods folder in order for the CMMOS mod to work. So, do i need to rezip the bmps, and if so what names do i give the files so they work in CMMOS? Tnanks for your answer. -
CMMOS Update! More mods available soon
MajorVictory replied to MikeT's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I have tried to download the latest CMMOS mods, but i am puzzled as to why i can only get unzipped files. Don't the mods have to be zipped to be placed in the mods folder of CMMOS? Do i have to zip them up again, and if so why and does it matter what i name the zip file??? -
My opponent in Rearguard Action has stopped sending me turns. I had the advantaged side and was winning handily. My other opponents had the advantaged side and gleefully sent me as many turns each day as i could stomach. I think a pattern has emerged! Do we really have to wait the full time limit before a non-playing player loses? Just asking.

DD mod CMBB come get some...!
MajorVictory replied to theDD's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hmmm...so far i have failed three times to download a useable copy of DDCMBBA.ZIP. Each attempt has taken at least 2 hours -- when it finishes i am always left with an unusable file. Has anyone else had this problem? -
Can someone give me a hand installing mods for CMBO CMMOS? How do i configure using the new rules? e.g. rulesets are not downloaded as zip files, so it is impossible to use the ruleset configure window. Despite installing the latest rulesets via executable files, the newest CMBO mods are not recognized by the mod configure window. Is there a readme file somewhere that explains all this - I can't find one. Thanks for your help!

 I am majorly confused...there is no "Combat Mission.exe" in the CMBB folder. The program file is called "Barbarossa to Berlin.exe". Is this the one you mean? Do i change this to "Combat Mission 10.exe"? Further confusion: i searched for "Combat Mission.exe" and got a bunch of files, the only one of which in the CMBB file is "Combat Mission BB Prefs". Is that it???? PLEASE clarify. TYVM!

Sign up to be an ASL CMBB Tester
MajorVictory replied to Chad Harrison's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Count me in. I was quite the ASL fanatic in university - I helped form a club which had tournaments and a newsletter. I made the trek to Octoberfest several times but always got whacked by the terrific players there. Alas the stuff has been gathering dust in a closet for years now. I was very pleased to see the ASL conversions done with CMBO, so yes send me the CMBB stuff when the game comes out. Cheers. -

I have some, contained in a mod called "alliedwintercamo", origins unknown. It is not half bad, and contains a Firefly winter mod too. Want it?

Got everything, and love the convenience. Of course, there are many other mods - i use CM Mod Manager for those. One suggestion -- can someone put the winter hoods mod into German Uniforms section?
