  1. Whats the difference between these two types of vehicles? Or are they the same only the Germans decided to change the classification of these units halfway through the war?
  2. I personally never buy airstrikes for the same reasons Vergeltungswaffe said. Its too unpredictable and I would much rather use the points on spotters for some good arty. I have never had any luck with airstrikes personally so that might be the reason I dont waste my time with it now.
  3. What are some good tips for using AFVs in heavy city fighting. Besides surrounding them with infantry to clear buildings.
  4. Which Sherman is the best one to pick when expecting to come across Panther tanks? Im not worried about infantry at the moment b.c I have infantry and machine guns to take care of them.

  6. Has anyone done any graphic mods for either of these two vehicles or other wheeled vehicles? I dont see many around. Are they always forgotten or just too hard to make a mod for?
  7. I agree with the argument that in war there is no rules. In the pacific theater during WWII the marine medics would always get rid of their big red medics crosses. Its just asking for trouble when you walk around with bright colors looking important during a jungle war where camoflague is a major tactical advantage. All I know is if I were in that position, I would take my red cross off too. and I certainly wouldnt want a medic who still wore the red cross near me if we were setting an ambush or something. War isnt about playing fair. Hopefully there will be less and less war.

  9. I downloaded the different weapons MOD from CMHQ last night and it worked...yet the only thing that doesnt seem to work correctly is in the screenshot it showed all three men of the squad carrying different weapons. yet when I play they all carry the same weapon. WHat did I do wrong?
  10. Just to let everyone know who was curious about what happened to my two Wittmanns; well I HATE to say it but both got knocked out in the second battle of the scenario. I did end up getting a total victory for the operation but I advanced my tank force a little too quickly and let the Shermans and Cromwells get too close. lost a few more tanks than I should have for it but I guess I still have to shake the Command and Conquer "tank rush" out of me. after all this is a REAL wargame.
  11. What other game allows you to command so many different types of units? If you buy a tank game you command tanks but infantry are out of your control. and vice versa. The game takes genuine planning and luck, critical to all real WWII battles. And to top it all off what game allows you to customise so much of it like CMBO? If you dont like a sound you can get a different one from so many different websites. Thats not something I have seen on many games. Come to think of it I havent seen it on any games myself than CMBO. THANKS BATTLEFRONT STAFF!
  12. Yeah, if I ever get around to finishing the operation I will make the tommies pay for not taking out the first Wittman.
  13. I was just playing the Villers-Bocage operation and after the first battle I have 5 tiger tanks left. One being Wittman. When I started the second battle I noticed that not only do I have the first tank Wittman started in, but I also have the second tank he takes over in the second battle! So I now have two elite Wittman commanded tanks. talk about a reinforcement! :eek:
  14. I know this have probably been brought up before but I am new to CM and this forum. But refering to AFVs in CM do you take the big moster vehicles like the Tiger and larger gun Shermans? or do you go with something that you can take more of like the PzKw IVs? I assume it could mostly be personal preference but does terrain make a difference too?
  15. Since WWII brought so many civilians into the battlefield (Russia, China etc.) are there any plans to introduce civilians into future versions of CM? It would add a more realistic and tactical feeling to the game since sound contacts could either be civilian or military. Any thoughts?
