I do agree that sometimes the mortars do seem ineffective against infantry, but try using green and conscript troops instead of the GI Joe vets. The biggest effect seems to be panicking and routing, which I suppose makes sense. I think mortars (particularly the light mortars) are fab. I loved the British 2" mortar in CM:BO and I love the 50mm mortars in CM:BB. I never enter battle without onboard mortar support.

It certainly is, but it's added in afterwards. -

That really is fabulous work. I love all of your mods, Saturnin. If I had my way, you'd be sitting chained to your copy of Photoshop. -
CMBB barb wire bug?
Soddball replied to major disaster's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
You could use the same logic for barbed wire in rubble, or barbed wire in rough terrain. Why should a tank be able to pass through rough terrain when there's barbed wire laid in it? This does strike me as a bug, although not a major one - it's more of a bugette or a bugola. -
It stands for If I Recall Correctly. I suspect that your tank was immobilised when it tried to move. Vehicle breakdowns are not modelled in the game, but getting bogged and immobilised in a heavy tank is.

Now that I have rolled back my foreskin, I announce that you lost 99%-1%. Happy now? </font> -

I realize that you are at the most time-consuming point of our match. Purchasing units can be a challenging affair, especially with all those points you have to allocate. My, my, it could give one a headache just thinking about it. Oops, gotta go, that damn weasel is acting up again. </font> -

Does kindness mean suckage in English? </font> -
I disagree. You can kill with a 50mm round, but it has to be a very accurate shot since it has a much smaller blast radius. I think my biggest gripe with the 50mm is its small ammo load. It tends to shoot all its stuff up in just a couple of turns. It might be helpful to have an additional command to specify how many rounds you want it to fire in a given salvo. Also, stockpiled ammo for unmoved mortars seems reasonable to me. Michael </font>

Tchah right. I held Keke to a draw and it was only my kindness that saved him from being fisted like a cheap porn star. To Boggsy: Drop dead, you pig-fellating weasel beater.   -

Delete the CMBB Prefs file from your CM:BB main folder, and try again. -
Anybody ever see a ricochet take out another AFV?

A brief search in the archives turned up this thread where the player claimed to have seen a shell bounce off one Pz-IV and take out a second.
