  1. Hey dingleberry -- newsflash -- you picked that scenario.  Your short-term memory is about as good as one could expect of a booze-soaked sponge.  </font>
  2. I do agree that sometimes the mortars do seem ineffective against infantry, but try using green and conscript troops instead of the GI Joe vets. The biggest effect seems to be panicking and routing, which I suppose makes sense. I think mortars (particularly the light mortars) are fab. I loved the British 2" mortar in CM:BO and I love the 50mm mortars in CM:BB. I never enter battle without onboard mortar support.
  3. Originally posted by MasterGoodale: Was that until you found you were having your arse kicked? Honestly, I've had chunks of waddy phlegm return turns faster than you. Oh joy. That means I can expect a turn shortly after Dave H stops being a tiresomely jolly fellow. I'd better see some turns, Goodale, or I will approach The Brood for adjudication on your feeble wetness and refusal to finish our game.
  4. That wasn't Bratwurst. The reason no-one has refilled the keg is that we are all too disgusted to go near it - apart from you, who have been drinking the dregs (as usual).
  5. So long as the range stays extreme, it works well. T-34 has to close to under 500m to get penetration on the IIIL, whereas the IIIL needs to be at about 900m to put a round through the front of the T-34. If you mix in infantry and mortars with smoke rounds, it makes for a groovy game.
  6. Just in time for you to forefeit the game for making me wait TWO WEEKS for a turn.
  7. That really is fabulous work. I love all of your mods, Saturnin. If I had my way, you'd be sitting chained to your copy of Photoshop.
  8. I'm still waiting for Mike The Wino to recommend some decent Yankee wines, rather than the pigswill his countrymen insist on shipping over.
  9. It's been ten days since I got a turn from MasterGoodale. It seems like only yesterday. Then again, in MasterGoodaleicon time, it is only yesterday and ten days is an average turn-around time for a PBEM game.
  10. You could use the same logic for barbed wire in rubble, or barbed wire in rough terrain. Why should a tank be able to pass through rough terrain when there's barbed wire laid in it? This does strike me as a bug, although not a major one - it's more of a bugette or a bugola.
  11. It stands for If I Recall Correctly. I suspect that your tank was immobilised when it tried to move. Vehicle breakdowns are not modelled in the game, but getting bogged and immobilised in a heavy tank is.

  13. Now that I have rolled back my foreskin, I announce that you lost 99%-1%. Happy now? </font>
  14. I realize that you are at the most time-consuming point of our match. Purchasing units can be a challenging affair, especially with all those points you have to allocate. My, my, it could give one a headache just thinking about it. Oops, gotta go, that damn weasel is acting up again. </font>
  15. I disagree. You can kill with a 50mm round, but it has to be a very accurate shot since it has a much smaller blast radius. I think my biggest gripe with the 50mm is its small ammo load. It tends to shoot all its stuff up in just a couple of turns. It might be helpful to have an additional command to specify how many rounds you want it to fire in a given salvo. Also, stockpiled ammo for unmoved mortars seems reasonable to me. Michael </font>
  16. Tchah right. I held Keke to a draw and it was only my kindness that saved him from being fisted like a cheap porn star. To Boggsy: Drop dead, you pig-fellating weasel beater.
  17. Delete the CMBB Prefs file from your CM:BB main folder, and try again.
  18. Top bollocks, mate. I'm on my way to download heaven already. You never know, I may waste 300 fat points on an 88mm one just to letch at the your artwork.
  19. A brief search in the archives turned up this thread where the player claimed to have seen a shell bounce off one Pz-IV and take out a second.
