CMMOS "TProgressBar" Error!
Speedbump replied to daloon's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
When testing some conversions, I ran into the same problem. I am not sure if a rulefile is referring to a missing or incorrect file (BMP or filelist), you would have to check the CMMOSLog.txt file (the last line should tell you if there is an error). If there is no error listed, it must be a program bug (sorry Gordon, you have done a tremendous job). If this is the case, all I can suggest is what you already figured out. Close it down and restart. That tended to work for me. If my memory serves, both situations occured for me. In the first case, I was able to correct the rule file. And in the second, it just worked the second time I tried after restarting. Sorry I could not be more help. Speedbump -
CMMOS Mods problem
Speedbump replied to Erwin Rommel's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
No, you are okay. When you download and add any mods that are assigned to these rulesets, the rules files will be added. Try MikeyD's beautiful KV2. Once loaded you will find it under the Tanksi tab and ruleset. Speedbump -
Where do I buy this game?
Speedbump replied to 123Poop's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Don't apologize. Order the game, enjoy it. Read the forum often, and many of these characters begin to make sense. This is a very supportive customer base. Speedbump -
Man, where to start? I have been away on sabbatical, meditating on all things Cess. How is it possible that Texas actually has lawyers? Is dalem truly a hippie? Or was that picture his girlfriend? What exactly is a Boo Radley? I am not exactly scared. Why, oh why, does Joe Shaw, my former liege, like that Agua Perdido so much? Is it the latin lover thing? And what the heck is OGSF really saying? And when I return, what do I find? Legends brought to life, rumours made true! Meeks has returned! And made King?!?! Of the MBT??!?!? How could this be? Where was the Justicar? (Oh, yeah, the latin lover thing...). I find it unfathomable that anyone would bend knee to another member of Cess (ooops, forgot Bauhaus is back also; well the rest of you at least). I see, at least, that my fellow Ohioan, Boo Radley is speaking against this travesty. Know this Joe, should you need succor (no Bauhaus, look it up), Ohio stands with you!! Speedbump

Thank you both for the quick answer. I love the functionality of CMMOS and want to make sure that I can use it as my primary modding tool. Speedbump -

Gordon, {bolded out of Cesspool reflex}, your efforts are greatly appreciated. I have one question, and because I am the typical American - refusing to read the instructions, when other mod authors make their work CMMOS compatible how do the rulesets get updated? Will the author need to provide 2 zips, 1 ruleset and 1 modfiles? Will they be maintained at CMHQ? Okay more than one question, so shoot me... Thanks! Speedbump -
One solution, that works for me, that I haven't seen posted here is the right-mouse-click option. Scroll over the link, right-mouse-click, choose "save target as", select destination and hit okay. This works everytime for me. I did not have to adjust my options, I have no accelerator, I go through a firewall etc. Please note that when I click on the link, I get the same error page that everyone is also getting. The only downside is that I can only download one mod at a time. No problem here. Speedbump

dalem, please circle the reason that you have not sent a turn: solo> Your business trip was extended and they taunted you by not allowing you access to the internet. quatre> You have fallen off the wagon again, and have started to huff that miniature paint again. the number of counting shall be three> You are a lazy mullet wearing hippy. thumbless> You just realized that your pension plan is 100% invested in your employer WCOM. center of your keypad> All of the above. the number of fingers on each of your hands> Who cares, send me a turn you Outreboards bastige... Gentlemen..{Hack, cough...gasp}, A quick note to inform everyone of the brutal dispatch of one dalem. Attacking, in an early war scenario, with the advantage of T-34's, he succumbed to the massed might of my little red wagons with guns. Somehow, my motley gathering of armored cars, pre-war Czech tanks, and PzIII's send his godless hordes of T-34's running...or should I say the crews. Oh, did I mention that my company of defending infantry literally never raised their heads? I think they fell asleep sometime around turn 4. Speedbump -

You've just totally wrecked my day. I had hopes that maybe, just maybe, there'd be a nice surprise awaiting me when I got home from work. But not now. Sigh...</font>
