If I am in the middle of a campaign affected by the fix, will that corrupt the savegame?
Not sure about campaign's, but fwiw, a 2.10 scenario I was running opened up just fine.

I don't seem to be able to download - I click the download button but nothing seems to happen. I've tried in chrome and Edge.

Did that to me also.
After doing my best refresh monkey, it finally went through on about the 7th try.

Due to real life, I was forced to make a CM - Break for almost seven years
But meanwhile creating CM-stuff is my way to relaxe after a hard working day with more real life problems than is dear to one...
So, despite the fact, this project is very ambitious, I am confident to release the pack not later than October 2022...
Life is like that. Priorities.
Really glad you've been able to take some time to enjoy your hobby, that's important too.
We all get to benefit from your destressing.
God bless and keep you and your family. I hope you'll be able to finish it all, not because I want it, but because things go well for you.

Back to the wives thing, mine says I remember far too much useless trivia, like character names from long ago shows.

Thanks, Mord! I was kinda hoping you’d have included Col. Klink, Sgt. Schulz, and Gen. Hofsteder(sp?) as options this time.
That's Gen. Burkhalter and Maj. Hochstetter.
But that is a great idea.

I see what you mean, but in my elementary school days, our big rolling football equipment locker had WW II pattern (maybe even age) Rawlings leather helmets, and I saw a fair number of people running around in oversized helmets. Here are a few pics from the GPW showing tank commanders in their padded helmets. Unfortunately front only.
Though a military miniature only, this does give some idea how bulky the helmet was. There seem to have been several different types, some more trim than others. The modern Russian tanker helmets from before the new ABS ones were introduced were huge, bigger even than the ones from the GPW.

John KettlerI've seen plenty of those padded style helmets, but none of them looked like the figure in the model.
I'm thinking this is him without the helmet:

This...is entirely possible.
I debated that and decided the head is okay with the hands, but without being able to remove the helmet from the equation, I can't be sure.

That is truly brutal.

Well if were going sci-fi, I've said it before... CM: BATTLETECH
As much as I love North Africa, that is still my guilty pleasure future dream.
Big Stompy Robots in the CM engine would be wargaming nirvana.

Just 137 snipers in there.

May, what a bounty of interesting campaigns people are making.
New games coming out must have really sparked people's creative juices.
I'm really grateful for all the folks like Mr.X who are putting their time and talent into this.

Beautiful model, but the helmet on that figure is grotesquely large.

Holy Cow, really good looking new campaigns coming out for so many CM's right now.
Real Life™ is getting in the way...

Also, keep in mind that the Panther's KwK 42 75mm L/70 has a little better penetration that the FlaK 36 88mm L/56.

I had a feeling flavor objects might need work, but I was hoping buildings would be fine.

Update:
All my problems vanish as soon as I run the game as administrator (from my non-administrator account).
Thank you again for all the good advice!

That only works if you own another CM game that has it.
Certainly true, but if you posted about wanting to use it and knowing where to check to see that you don't have it, I feel pretty good this isn't your first CM game.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -
Truly brilliant idea and implementation.

I assume that it will be possible to import the CW maps into BS for fighting over the same ground in a modern setting?

FR patch, I would assume.

No, I backed everything up and I always remove my Mod folder, then replace it after, but nothing was lost or overwritten as far as I can tell.
