I'm still waiting for the motorcycle-riding horses patch to please those who requested and/or demanded horses and/or motorcycles in previous incarnations!

All you penny-pinchers just need to wait for the after-christmas sales to pick up your Javelins & TOWs.

I'm undecided on whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. See, now I care when any of my infantry go down. In CMx1, I really didn't care until they started breaking. Pure cannon fodder. But now I can see that I'll have to write emails to the widows and family of the fallen pixel men. It's affecting my judgement in issuing orders. Do I send Chip, Paul, William G, LJ, Billy & Doc? Or do I send some other pixel people who I don't know as well? You can certainly see the moral dilemma that didn't exist when they were just three guys representing a number!Originally posted by AdamL:Another great advantage is that you will come to understand how much in the squad model must be being abstracted in CMAK.

If I had seen the letters "RTS" associated with it all, I would've passed right on by. I never would've read any further and found out that WEGO could possibly be involved. When I see a new game, I scan descriptions for any indication of RTS and auto-ignore the game forever if found. Yes, I'm an avid, hard-core, anti-clickfest participant. But, I'm the same way about asparagus and/or artichokes.

Hmmm, I bought CMBO because of the pre-release buzz. After experiencing CMBO I pre-ordered CMBB whole-heartedly because of Gary Grigsby. I pre-ordered CMAK, but didn't really enjoy open deserts too much (although I tried to track down enough stuff to do the Normany thing a few times, I always ended up with something desert-like in the middle of my game). I pre-ordered CMSF because of inertia. Although my inertia lost serious steam with the current implementation of Quick Battles, so unless the next CM is back to the Eastern Front, we'll see. I doubt I'll ever buy CMC (because I believe I'll never have the option).

I thought that was the whole idea behind RTS games in general?Originally posted by moneymaxx:[QBThe problem is that in TCP/IP play you can't pause and some fear that the faster mouse-user wins but not the better tactician[/QB]

Do the words "Temporal Anomoly" mean anything to you?Originally posted by Pvt. Ryan:No one can receive them until after they have shipped.

A WHOLE lot of my interface problems have disappeared with this patch. The direct keys' addition is worth it's weight in shell casings! (While I understood the relative key assignments, they were beyond my fingers' ability and thus equated to alot of unintended bailouts). The increase in the hot zone for mouse-driven view rotation is a MUCH welcome fix as well!!!

I dunno, it gives me something to look at while I would've been looking at a blue bar taking eons, millenia, and several minutes (many inches on the sun dial). And it saves me time, in that most of the turns I don't even need to watch the replay segment and can skip it altogether.

Not any more. According to The Economist, Syria has cutoff all intelligence cooperation with the US (which includes torturing Canadians). </font>Originally posted by acrashb:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by MikeyD:

To find Yoko?Originally posted by thewood:You guys are missing the biggest analogy of them all: The Beatles.
Did any other band not only change itself often, but they led the change.
That is where I am hoping CMSF is going.

You never want any game company to do your favorite first. You want it to be at least the second and more refined release, using lessons learned.

It beats the hell out of the old LOS tool. Now I can tell an enemy is spotted and then click on the enemy and can tell WHO spotted him. Instead of trial and error through all my units as before.

It probably would be considered so in another game forum.Originally posted by average:Yes, my post is helpful, balancing if you will.

Do you have your windoze explorer set to ignore certain filetypes? (perhaps your system thinks that *.BTS files are system files and is hiding them from you?)(just shooting in the dark as the files I want to delete, show up fine in my saved games directory)
