    .50 cal penetrating power

    actually, the side armor of a hetzer is swiss cheese at close range for a .50 cal. (the armor penetration of the .50 is better than the side armor)

    i noticed once a hetzer immobilized within range of my .50. i smiled. i targeted the het. the crew ran after ~40 sec. considering all the lead no doubt bouncing around inside i was impressed.

    the same level i killed 2 nashorns with .50 cals.

    yeah i tried that a couple times fer fun...

    even with machine guns, you can only fire at one group at a time and at 10:1 odds, you don't really need that much tactics.

    add some arty, machine guns, and then see what happens...

    i found this neat screensaver that let's you add your own photos and caption(sort of, it lists the filename, i just name the file the caption i want).

    do you have any really cool, cinema-esque pics? like an army marching into town, or a lone post holding back a horde?

    if you do, could you email me them or post a link to it? i looked around some sites and grabbed a few, but do you guys have any personal faves?

    as they said in futurama, the secret of television is that nothing changed after the show's over:

    ie, u cant marry off the single female lawyer star or viewers will rebel(by destroying the earth a la that ep of futurama) so you dont need to follow the war exactly.

    also, think of all the classics that never acknowledged the change of time: how many years were those guys in high school on happy days?

    so why did tank destroyers not work?

    my friend was watching me play cm as allies with m18 hellcats. he asked about them and i told him a little about tank destroyers and how they were pretty bad in the war.

    i mentioned that i heard m18 itself had a 10:1 kill ratio and he asked why they were so great and why they weren't the primary tank then.

    anyone have a good answer?

    How to download Mods

    if you don't have winzip, you can download it from free software sites like http://www.cnet.com . it is easy to install and use, and is very useful for non-games as well.

    anyway, be sure you have a general idea of what the mod will look like. also, if it comes with a batch file, you can ignore it and the mod will be fine most of the time. you can look for info on how to use batch files later, or don't use them as i do(not?).

    you can get classical music over napster too.

    most of the people who d/l games illegally from warez are the ones who actually play them and have t1 connections(college students). after all, it can take hours to get a DEMO over a 56k modem. and if they don't get it from napster, they can get it from warez sites.

    so i don't worry too much about game downloading anyway since not many people have t1s.

    downloaded hotchkiss mod, but where do i purchase?

    i wanted to see what the hotchkiss looked like so i tried to buy it but i didn't know which tank/vehicle it was.

    after searching and looking, i found i DO have the bmps for the hotch, it DOES exist in the walk in paris scenario, but WHERE do i BUY it in a quick battle?

    i son't see a hotckiss or H-39 or what ever number in the purchase list...

    i bought 0 cds in my life before napster.

    after napster, i bought 0 cds.

    but i have mp3s on my hard drive. does this mean that the bands lost money?
