  4. what i meant was, are u playing scenarios that occur in the night and or fog?

like snow for elsdorf(tiger tanks vs pershings) or fear in the fog(paratroopers in the fog) and night battle at pegasus bridge? to make really sure, you can make a quick battle and choose weather conditions...

if not try looking at bmps 1400-14?? and see if u actually have a night sky.

yep, i remember my first tcp/ip game:

my two shermans came out of hiding when suddenly a TIGER? popped up. not having much experience, knowing only that sherms bite when tigers appear i hid my guys in a little valley so the tiger couldn't approach without being hit by two tanks as it exposing its lower hull or flank going over or around the hill.

well later my troops identified it as a mere panzer IV. i was like, i'm hiding from a f**king pansy IV? it can kiss my olive green colored metal *ss. so i send them both up and one of the sherms gets hit with an inf gun. it shakes it off and was all NUH-UH BYATCH**. then my sherms killed both the gun and panzer IV.

  7. great definitions.

    here's some i like:

diplomacy is the art of saying "nice" doggy until you can find a rock

war: the untying of a political knot that would not yield to the tongue

  8. not CM, but in delta force there was a guy on a Team King of the Hill server (before novalogic got rid of them mad.gif ) who wanted the cheat code for a multi-player game. some guy said:"look straight down, then hit 0 and fire"

    (0 selected your grenade)

two seconds later there was a distant explosion and a message:"NAME decided it was all too much"

no but it is just "plain manners"

example of "declaring war first is just plain manners": would be my yelling obscenities and remarks about your questionable ancentry, then my saying, "i am declaring bad feelings between us." (i don't want to declare bad feelings just giving an example smile.gif)

actually most japanese texts barely mention it, rarely mentioning that the declaration was late in arriving(i remember a political cartoon where a japanese student was presenting his report on the "treacherous defense of pearl harbor by the americans" =) )

And I hardly think Yamamoto ever expressed any abiding shame or fear over what he had worked so hard to bring about. But then, since the USAAF had him assisinated by a hand-picked squadron of P38's, I guess we'll never know exactly how he felt about it, will we?

americans are evil! we kill enemy soldiers in total violation of every rule of war! (after all, assasination is bad, right?)

but one area where workers weren't up to snuff was parachutes: they found 1 in 10 didn't open properly.

solution: parachute packers were taken up in the air and made to jump using their handiwork. no more problems after that.
