  1. You seem to be talking to yourself Tracer, I have heard modding can do that But seriously thats a good link and well worth the visit, many thanks mate.
  2. Any takers on bets to see how long before Hofman gets a ban?
  3. For some reason the ampulomet in my game is just a white tube. I suspect i inadvertently messed up its bmp. Anyone know which one?

  5. A mod is up, its a rip off from the CMBO mod done by Thomas Klimisch (aka TomsHQ). Thanks for the great idea Tom and hope you dont mind. Get it at mod database . [ December 25, 2002, 07:06 PM: Message edited by: Pud ]
  6. One more thing I would like to add on modding, can a logical file naming be used? I have seen some with all sorts of titles, worst case would be naming the mod zip something like "Panther.zip" I know the naming thing was brought up around 2 years ago but how about something like the following file naming convention... Unit_early/mid/late_(winter)_artist.zip eg PzIIIH_early_Fredbloggs.zip PzIIIH_early_winter_fredbloggs.zip Just a suggestion.
  7. After counting to a few hundred before posting...the modders cant modify the shape of anything, even caps. If you have a bitch, take it elsewhere. If you have a POLITE recommendation/suggestion, sure please post it. Nearly every single modder out there does do their research I suggest you do the same about what makes this game work and hence what is and is not possible.
  8. Nope. All numbers are allocated in the code and cant be changed. If you change the way a road tile looks , you must change an original road tile. You will have to do some serious testing though as they all are done to align with each other. [ December 18, 2002, 06:07 PM: Message edited by: Pud ]
  9. nothing to see here, move along. [ December 11, 2002, 07:01 PM: Message edited by: Pud ]
  10. Looks like iinet are again putting the pressure on telstra (at last!). I would like to see it down to less than $60, not economical for me above that (use vs cost vs modem)
  11. 56k. I am totally amazed at the number who aren't on 56k!!! But as mentioned, in australia broadband is rooted, very expensive, limited availability and capped
  12. Degus Popups cant cause IE to become faulty, prob just coincidence. If you have IE5.5 or 5 try upgrading to IE 6. PS popups are just pages generated by javascript or html and so dont effect your apps at all. They will have an impact on memory though so it "maybe" related to a memory problem on your system. 13. Looks very good. Perhaps a little shadow under the turret on the hull? Thanks for dipping your toes into the pool of Axis vehicles.
  14. Please no frames Frames carry many hassels, if not done well can make a site fail. They also carry a security risk called "frame spoofing" which basically allows hackers to get in and add frames to your site. From a design point of view they are a no no. 15. Im always amazed at the dollar/hour of enjoyment CM has given me. Must be around $0.01 by now.
  16. Blasphemer!!! I've got the tar, who's bringing the feathers!
  17. This would be nice but I have a sinking suspicion that as good and fun the shockwaves are BFC wont be bringing it back despite the popular demand for shockwaves that exists.
  18. easytarget; CMMOS is a programme done by Gordon Molek that allows you to switch between mods, eg allows you to install Gunslinger's Grass, go into CM check it out, duck back to CMMOS change to another grass mod, switch back to CM, load you game again and check that grass out. By doing this it allows you to easily filter the mods so you arrive at the modded CM that best suits your taste. You can install any mod without CMMOS (can take some editing of bmp files) but not all (90% are however) mods are CMMOS compatible. Hope that helps. 19. I personally think that a fully modded CMBO looks better than CMBB. This will change as CMBB gets more mods. Which to go for, well ask yourself the question which do you have a larger interest in, Normandy or russian campaign. I would go for the bundle.
  20. I like it. For some reason no-one seems to be doing much on non-winter vehicles. I hope you keep doing more!
