  2. Check the armour rating (depending on type). Churchill has 140-152, Shermans 64-100, stuarts 38-57. Tigers have 100. So yes they are tough to kill. However churchills have crappy guns though.
  3. I had a Sherman suffer gun damage. Ok the main gun cant shoot but why can't at least one of the three MG's fire? Is this too hard to implement? I know it supposed to be able (from a search) but the target command wasnt available. Can it only fire MG by AI? [This message has been edited by Pud (edited 11-22-2000).]

  5. Ok. Did a test. 2 strips of cover one for Zook(2) one for piat (2), each strip contains Scattered trees, woods and pines. 100m away are the 4 Panthers, 2 in front of each strip. In all folliage types the result was the same. Zooks fired and were seen most of the time immediately. Piats remained hidden. buttoned or not result still the same, Zooks reveal themselves, piats remain quietly hidden. PS the strips were 2 squares deep and the allies where in the centre of the strip.   6. I have been scanning the forum for various ideas on which movement command is better than others for various things and have done a little table. See if you thinks this is valid.   7. they are wavs (PC) from memory (im at work) they are in the 5000 series, just do a sort of your wav files by size and check the 10-15 largest files, thats them!
  8. Am I wrong or does it appear more likely to kill armour than immobolise it? I have played quite a few games now and the incidents of immobilisation has been 2 or 3 compared to the hoards of destroyed tanks in these games. Just a passing thought.
  9. Whats the effective difference between Piat and Zooks. Zooks have more ammo and create a back blast. Does this backblast also mean the are more visible when firing and more likely to be seen from a distance? Is one more accurate. In the few games I have played, Piats "appear" to be more accurate. Both cost about the same. PS i have done a search but nothing came up.
  10. I didnt do a split so unless the scenarios starts that way, im not sure - will have to see if I can get it to do it again. When I played CC3 this happened alot, armour, inf, arty etc often go awol. It was disappointing to see it happen with CM, mind you it has only happened once. Pud

I played a scenario last night (tiger222) and after setting up my 2 engineer squads in some woods to ambush the KT, when it came to actually "go" and do my turn, there were 2 foxholes but one was empty. Anyone else experienced this. I did check to see if it was placed someplace else but nope! BTS - a bug, be it a rare one. Pud

  13. I find the best way to make little children to go away is to ignore them. Im an Australian and have taken the 2 posts i have read of this childs as repugnant (I refuse to read any more). Being in australia, a country were the government is trying hard to control the local internet traffic, ISP's are very cautious of any bad feedback about their services or what they allow to pass throught their servers, to the point of legal action by the government. If this boys ISP were told of his activities and that many people have taken offence I wouldnt doubt he would have his or, more correctly, his parents account terminated. Banning IP's is very hard and banning a whole domain is unfair to anyone who maybe from that domain. And there are ways around this anyway so there is little point in doing so.
  14. This is with 1.05!! I know 1.05 was meant to fix this problem but it hasnt. I would assume BTS would like to know its not fixed. Looking at old posts doesnt inform them of this

Played villers-bocage last night, my tiger thought shooting at a bailed tank crew was a good idea and proceeded to do just that, problem is when a firefly came out of the smoke 50 meters away and drove through my tigers LOS to the crew, the tiger still thought the crew was a more valid target!!! My tiger died of course, serves the stupid sods right!!! A patch is needed here I feel.

  17. has anyone in .au bought the game? How much did it eventually cost (including GST and P&H), how long did it take to get here? Pud
