  1. Rare use, good to use against the AI to test its resolve. A thinking player uses ceasefire selectively. Roughly I use it in maybe 10-15% of games against the AI and less against evil humans.
  2. Thank Holien But unfortunately I need to finish it up before I disappear on vacation during the summer. Eighteen days and seven scenarios to complete. It'll be up at the Depot so take a look. We can always update! We might coordinate and see if we can put the three scenarios I will do and if you do the inner city fighting, into a small step by step campaign, ie fight battle X, if you lose go to battle Y if you win go to battle Z and if its a draw-refight, etc.
  3. He found a Japanese language map of the IJA Airborne invasion of Sumatra. Domo Arigato!
  4. I'm looking for the correct German grammer for the following "nickname" for a German officer that is translated into English as "magnetic". Magnetic in the sense of attracting enemy shells & bullets. His name was Leutnant Ernst "Magnetic" Joesting, what would that be in proper Deutsh? Hans
  5. Note onf HT I once worked with some Israeli officers who had amixed bag of response about the HTs used by the Israelis (this was 1983). I seem to recall 1. They were good transportation, as discards they were cheap and the engines easy to maintain as they were very similar to a civilian truck engine. 2. They provided limited shell and MG protection. 3. Were deemed good for traveling over the rocky desert. 4. The troops in side could bail out fast or stand up and return fire 5. They were easy to ID on the battlefield - and less likely to be hit by target hungry Israeli tankers although they had problems with the BTR 152s. 6. The 50 cal was a wonderful support weapon, able to deal with enemy infantry from outside their effective range. Good too as a mortar track, command and medic vehicle. 7. (probably a joke) a AP round would go thru without doing any major damage! So, easy to repair, good trafficability, cheap
  6. What? Another scenario called that? LOL I have a scenario in production also called that....oops
  7. Hi Holien Just had the first playtester report in on the 3RTR, from the Brit side. No major difficulties reported hwoever this person doesn't actually know anything about the actual fight. Would you care to play test it yourself? Since you know about the action your input would be very, very welcome.
  8. Have a good trip. In cookseys book in the back he has recommended tours of the Calais battlefield. I won't be doing the inner city battles so it would be good if you could cover those interesting actions. Yes the 3RTR action will be taken care of. If you can get to Verdun it's excellent and the military museum in Brussels has a load of armour.
  9. Hi Holien I'm near completed the Small Battles, 3RTR at Calais, 1940 scenario and am working on two others, Small Battles, Les Attaques, 1940 and Small Battles, Row at Coulogne, 1940. What are you researching? 3 RTR should be out in a few days-depending on playtesters motivation and speed!
  10. I blame society, technology and the political party of your choice
  11. Grog question Their seemed to have been elements of the French 21st Infantry Division in Calais and the various fortress troops. Does anyone have an accounting of what might have been there in the way of French forces? I have a good handle on the British forces but cannot seem to pin down the French? Sources or information? Hans

  17. Hans: I TOLD you we couldn't shoot fish with a Pak. Sigmund: Shut up, we could if you'd just learn to move the barrel fast enough. Hans: I cannot believe you used up our one round of tungsten on a carp. Sigmund: Did you see the teeth on that thing? Hans: Well tomorrow we'll try sparrow hunting with flamethrowers. .
  18. Thanks Japanzer I'm a son of Nippon myself but cannot speak more than a few jumbled words myself. Yes I've been to Akira site Email: Wayne100@emirates.net.ae Please put CMAK in the subject line
  19. Thanks Japanzer Just what we needed! Does Ujiki mean anything or is it just a name? Ah Japanzer I believe you are a native speaker? If you have the inclination and time could you check the Japanese language websites for anything to do with the Pacific war? In particular the campaign against Malaysia and the Dutch East Indies and specifically any armor actions (Kalidjati), the invasion of Ambon(Ambonia) and the airborne invasion of Palembang. Dreadfull lack of small scale maps on those subject! Thanks again
  20. Thanks all Its not a great substitution but it'll have to !
  21. Hi Martyr My guess is that the troops were selected prior to the Italian army structure being 'set' with the Beta being completed. The Defense of Snipe was one of the first Scenarios designed - however I cannot explain while the units didn't undate later with the new information. Perhaps the act of evil spirits? Hans
  22. This is suppose to be a sketch of an Japanese armoured action against the Dutch in Java circa 1942. Do we have a Japanese speakers in the CM crowd?
