  1. Hi Andreas Just finishing up a May 1940 scenario (Les Attaques) and one of the playtesters was questioning why there weren't any SP 15cms in it. Can you confirm that the 1st Panzer had the SP 15cm in May 1940? I looked and found that production was rather limited but were the few in existence actually in the 1st Panzers Division?
  2. Thanks Berlichtingen I have that page already, I needed to confirm that no letters were used anywhere in their designation system!
  3. French Army Grogs How did the French (1940 era) identify or name their smaller units? ie an American platoon would be ID as 2nd platoon A company, 3rd Battalion 104th Infantry Regiment, or the Germans 3rd Company II Battalion 14th Regiment. How did the French address their platoons and companies?
  4. Thanks I thought you guys would have the answer...and you did. I think in that scenario the XO will become the Adjutant to make it more historically correct.
  5. Would the second in command of a German pioneer battalion title be, translated as "executive officer" or what would be the appropriate title? Thanks
  6. It was a hundred and twelve here today but the industrial sized AC is just working fine however. Open the refrigerator and think about freezing to death on an artic expedition...
  7. Well haven't seen the offer yet and even then I won't start until late August or early September. Its full time but full time in the Arab sense of full time.
  8. Andreas, yep the battle of Antwerp is excellent
  9. Kingfish is correct, that was one of the first scenarios done and it was built with a pre beta troop list.
  10. Hey Berlichtingen When will I be able to re-fight the entire war at the CM level?
  11. Thanks guys but things went badly, I was unable to convince them that I'm an irresponsible psychopath with major trends towards laziness and I cannot spell...they'll be sending me a contract on Tuesday. Looks like the CM holiday will be coming to an end - but I don't have to start work until September! So I'll be able to get a few more scenarios out before I have to start acting like a responsible adult again.
  12. Hi Sergei Thanks for your ideas. I tried them and they didn't work! BUT then I tried messing around with the various reinforcements and finally I found something that did. For the Americans there are no troops on the map at the start, they filter in later. Adding a single jeep at the start (well hidden) and the scenario doesn't go to ceasefire. Odd My play tester and I however still don't understand how this didn't manifest itself until months after! Thanks Sergei!
  13. Ah 'An Island to Close', that was always a favorite. GaJ, I'm retired or unemployed - depends on the terminology you like. As long as I remain off work the scenarios will be coming out at a certain pace...unfortunately I have a third interview today and I think the company is going to offer me a job - the bastards.
  14. Znarf Thanks for the heads up the Admiral has been notified. Send me an email and I'll send you Encounter Norway directly
  15. Thanks Brent, oops that nimbus was Danish, hmmmm, some sorta Brit weapon truck/vehicle mounted thingy from the early years should be able to model that. Now to find a map of Haderslev!
  16. What's next....well since you asked: I have the following scenarios and operations under production 1. SB, Vietnam Primer, 1967 2. SO, De Voorposten (with Henk Stoffel) 3. SB, Les Attaques, 1940 4. SB, Row at Coulogne, 1940 5. SO, Joesting’s last stand 6. SB, Coup de Main, France 1940 7. SB, Englishmen at war, 1940 8. SB, Block at El-Arish, 1956 9. SB, Je t’aime!, 1940 Six others are completed but didn't work out and are awaiting redoing or deletion. 30 others are in various stages of design, research and pre-production. For J2D the ones in there for PTO are - with sequence number: 2. Philippines & Bataan (5 ID'd) 3. SB Kalidjati & Soebang (Dutch East Indies) 4. SB, Palembang airborne (Dutch East Indies) 5. Khoru Baru Malaysia 6. Myitkyina, Merril’s marauders (Burma) 14. SB, Ambon (Dutch East Indies) 20. SB, Kampar Malaysia 21. SB, Slim River Malaysia 27. Kodoka track infantry battles (New Guinea) 28. SB the defense of admin box (Burma) In the ideas box would be another scenario to cover the attack on Wake - nothing doing with Midway-to fictional and THAT island is flat, bald and boring!
  17. There is an easy way around this (well, easy in concept, but not easy to implement - it requires more playtesting). In the scenario I am designing, I have a large number small reinforcement groups (e.g., one infantry platoon for reinforcemnt #1, one or two armored vehicles for reinforcment #2, etc.). They may arrive after a certain turn, but their chance of arrival is a VERY SMALL percentage, e.g., 2-4% for human, 4-8% for AI, or maybe 1-3% for human, and 3-6% for AI. Sometimes reinforcements virtually never show up, sometimes a lot show up, sometimes you overwhelm the enemy, but more often the human is outnumbered. Thus, each replay you end up fighting possibly an entirely different force. </font>
  18. Hi Holien One scenario set in England after Sealion is on its way, Small Battles, Englishmen at War, 1940 is in production and should be out in 5-7 days. Set in Sussex it's a small German Mechanized probe against a defense of pillboxes and Home Guard. A test to see how the concepts 'works'. Do you known if any of the German units had been earmarked for the invasion? Hans
  19. Thanks Brent I was a PanzerBlitz player and never got into ASL so its an unknown world for me. If you can get me that Intro and other info it will be appreciated. I probably won't do a direct translation of the ASL, but will use some of the information to build a new scenario using (hopefully) maps and diagrams from an unknown Danish source. Nimbus? Kubelwagen with LMG team and a gentlemens rule that the two stay together! SSR....that is what? Is that unit quality? The Danish will be green, conscripts and a sprinkling of regulars. From one Danish source one of the fights (not Haberslev) was led by a Danish officer with experience in the French Foreign Legion and fighting with the Monarchists in the Spanish Civil War. Germans will be regulars, some green and a sprinkling of vets.
