  1. Drooled all over my screen. Well, replaced drooled with... you know...
  2. Excuse my ignorance, but what's the caliber on the MG42?
  3. Soldiers, Lest we forget, The Hatred. Lord General MB never commanded much of anything larger then one of those toy dumptrucks. Mbjvx, however, has been spoted roaming the vast Canadian country side, shouting for Dorosh's blood.
  4. Soldiers, IMHO; CMBB would have been better had it only covered a single time frame, say, Combat Mission: Operation Citadel or something. The massive scale of the entire eastren front turned me off the game (though there are some excellent battles for it, I find the huge scale hard to come to grips with). CMAK, I like the smaller scale, and the Italian levels are definately more interesting then the desert levels (brings back CMBO memories).
  5. Soldiers, I think the biggest factor in CMAK (and CMBB for that matter) was the quality of the maps. The first CMBB demo map (soviet's defending at Kursk) was excellent and really changed the focus of the game (I imediatly felt that this was no longer CMBO)... where as the full included maps were for the majority, uninspired and silly. CMAK suffers the same fate for the demo in my mind, where Dan's senerio is not half bad, but Rune's doesn't really grip me. Just a shout out to Dan on this one: I'm buying CMAK because of your senerio. (of course, Steve should note that I bought CMBB becuase of his map).
  6. Soldier, Infantry combat is still in the CMBB style, which may be a con or a pro. The demo maps aren't great, IMHO. Of course, I'm buying it anyway (even though its OS9). Suffice it to say... I'm waiting for CMXII [ December 18, 2003, 07:35 PM: Message edited by: Mbjvx ]
  7. Soldiers, I am downloading the CMAK demo now. Preorder will be comming once I get to play it. That, and last time I preorderd (CMBB) my order went FUBAR and didn't show up for many months.
  8. Soldier Berkut, Surley, you will allow me the honor of being the first to say that he has the CMAK demo- a tradition started nigh years ago, as you will no doubt recall- when in reality no such thing exists. I conisder my duty to be the first, for not the first release, nor the second, then the THIRD!
  9. Soldiers, You guys DON'T have the demo yet? Jesus, you should download it!
  10. Soldiers, Lord General MB checking in. Looking forward to CMAK. Checking out, back to Lurker mode.
  11. Soldiers, No doubt, there will be a fundemental lack of: a) Jamming Tank MGs. Kill me if I have to whine about these again. Reload sounds. Come on, Matt. You know you want to.
  12. Soldiers, Since I'm in officail lurker mode till CMAK- I'll be brief. Happy B-Day Combat Mission. Happy B-Day to you. SALUTE!
  13. Soldier, Ah, Mr. TF, quite the beauty you have there! Me thinks many a download await ye!
  14. Soldier, Well, you shot me down in flames there! What am I supposed to say now? Hunh? Punk?
  15. Soldier, Sorry, saw it here first- do you want THE Old Dog to respond, because I haven't seen him around here for ages!
  16. Soldiers, I think the most perplexing section is the brigade/regiment factor which can be composed of basically anything and of any number (brigades are often or not, in battle, thrown together rather adhocly, giving you obscure numbers and sizes).
  17. Soldiers, Wow... someone REALLY wants to take on EA for the worst World War Two First Person shooter game of all time number one spot. This game looks like MOHAA all over again... just with scenes from Enemy at the Gates rather then Saving Private Ryan. What a scam.
  18. Soldiers, I'd say something funny, but all the good lines have already been taken.
