  1. Name one RTS you know where you can actually play for an hour plus totally riveted to the game and not overwhelmed in a click fest. I find the long duration RT aspect of the game to be very refreshing and not the lest bit hackneyed.

  4. Yes. I find navigating the beautifully rendered city scapes very complicated--- especially in real-time, which is most certainly how I play now Detailed armour pen. would be nice to have back. Also, one thing that confuses me- why don't the Stryker squads automatically carry their Javelins? I read in the manual that this is due to the Javelins being a part of the Styker as opposed to the squad in the Stryker-- and of course this gives lots flexibility since you can equip whatever unit you want with the Javelins, but its a pain to go through every unit at deployment and equip them. It's even worse when reserves arrive in real time, and you have to go through and add the missiles to every team (and since I play on elite, you can't do it while the game is paused... or can you? The manual said you can't issue orders on elite when paused...). I would propose something like an "equip with javelins" button, or something, which in one click gives the unit under question the Javs and all the Jav missiles. This would be faster then the acquire/Jav, acquire/Jav missiles x3 system as it stands now. My main qualm as it stands however remains not having any way to see all the movement/targeting lines. Modifiable way points is a part of that as well-- how many players went to move their waypoints and ended up ordering their guys to fast run into enemy machineguns? Matt and Steve-- great game for sure. I feel like I'm just scratching the surface and I know they're going to be some amazing stuff to come. One last question though--- are they're reload sounds in the game? I couldn't hear them when I as hovering over the Abrams, but I read earlier that they were in. Learn the hotkeys! I agree, I miss the right click/menu, but the hotkeys are a good (and fast) alternative. Does make for a bit of a learning curve though.
  5. Being able to show all movement/targeting lines.
  6. I'm definitely holding out for the demo-- no offense to BTS, but they botched my CMBB preorder I didn't get the game until weeks after it had been released. Not fun.
  7. Pacific coast here baby. When its 12 am, it'll be hard core the 27th no exceptions!
  8. OMFG its being advertised!!!.... ....like its been for the past several years (:
  9. Mean sergei. I did one of those "wait a minute" double takes when I saw "cmbo" in the url.
  10. I haven't played CM in ages, on account of the whole OS9 thing. But I'm pretty stoked for CMSF!!!!!
  11. So sexual, but anyway, I've been asking for Full replays for 7 years now... and I just don't think its ever gonna happen.
  12. Without Mac OS9 support, I'd have to buy CMBB again- for the PC.
  13. I relaly hope there's a native OSX version.
  14. Those look absolutely ****ing amazing! Holy ****! This game looks amazing. I was doubtful, but BFC pulled it off again. How many live fires did you guys do? What did you do for the higher caliber artillery and aerial attacks?
  15. Airsoft fires plastic BBs. At fairly high muzzle velocities too... Such as?
  16. Wicked cool! Find an SVT-40 and win the gold prize!
  17. Coolio video! Training soldiers to fight against civilians is the next logical step in the evolution of modern combat. Soon they're won't even be "soldiers" anymore, just "armed civilians".
