There was supposed to be an early war edition of CM, but it seems that has been set aside for now. I suppose the first thing they will do with the new engine, CMX2 is sort of a remake of CMBO, but they could include the early years as well. It could also be the second installment under the new engine.
It's harder to get a kill in IL-2 than it is to brew up an enemy tank in CM. CM is so much more satisfying that there is little need to come here and take it out on other forum members. Except for the French.
If it is November 15, BFC is getting awfully close to the release date without manking an announcement. Maybe they will ship CMAK to all CMBO/CMBB customers, and then announce the release date at the same time the game reaches our mailboxes.
I think he wants detailed infantry hit info. You know, such as partial cranium penetration, "gun" hit, penetration at weak spot (aren't they all?), etc.

The reason CMBB did not have full portraits was that BFC had trouble finding photos of all the units of the minor nations. I don't think they will have that problem this time, but what do I know?
If it's any guide, the release date of CMBB was announced 2 months before the actual release. But I also recall that the CMBB forum was not started until the release was announced. Does that clear things up for you?
I believe CMAK will have the same requirements as CMBB, but there will be a lot of dust on the CMAK desert battlefield. But do you really need an excuse to upgrade?
