  1. I'd love to see this one modeled. http://blog.wired.com/defense/2007/08/httpwwwnational.html
  2. Turn off shadows! (ALT-W) I was having some slow down on the bigger city maps and turning off the shadows really boosted performance. Not only that, I think the game actually looks better! I've seen this posted before, but I figured I'd add my 2 cents to the pot. [ July 31, 2007, 07:21 AM: Message edited by: mscano ]
  3. Running great for me. I run it in 1280X1024 with graphics settings on improved. My system specs are: PentIV 3ghz, 2 gigs RAM, Nvidia 7600GT video (with the NEW drivers released yesterday), SB LIVE! and WINDOWS XP OS. Here's a screenshot (scaled down for the messageboard):
  4. Downloaded it in under 5 minutes (1.35mb/sec)! Had a problem with the order ID thing (figured it out myself). Installed flawlessly, no problems. Fired it up and it runs great! Played the training mission and the first mission on the list. All I can say is throw out whatever tactics you used in the WW2 games....and watch out for RPGs! I took a lot of casualities and would have undoubtly been the lead story on CNN. One thing I noticed is that you can't lasso units like in the other games. If you double click on a unit, you highlight the entire platoon. They definitely want you to use more realistic tactics. Overall, I say Great Job! System Specs: PentIV/3Ghz, 2gigs ram, nvidia7600gt 256mb card, Windows XP.
  5. 11:07am here in New York and it's quiet.........too quiet.
  6. Shouldn't take too long to download once it's posted. It's only 350mb. I'm assuming it's compressed quite a bit.
  7. I've got a computer running Windows98SE. When I install the 61.76 drivers and try to run any CM game, I get blue screen of death. When I use older drivers (56.64), the games run fine. Anyone else have this problem and how is it fixed? Video card is a Geforce4 ti4200 w/ 128mb ram.

  9. Is it possible to use a quick battle map in an operation and if so, how?
  10. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Seriously, just get your credit card out and buy it. Don't even bother with the demo.
  11. Without sewer movement, there goes my capture Saddam scenario idea!
  12. Off topic, but you gotta check this out. http://www.madminutegames.com/
  13. Great news, but I just tried to login and it wouldn't let me.
  14. You probably wouldn't see it as the "face" BMPs are used for both sides. For that matter, I would think that the Italian faces would be darker than their arian brothers to the north, but they're not. Plus, I don't know that the South African troops were necessarily "African" as much as they were Boers or Afrikaners, (White Africans descended from Dutch settlers). As for the Indians, well, I think you're gonna see a lot of white indians because of my opening comment.
  15. The demo is what sold me on the original game. I definitely see it as a red flag when a company does not release a demo for a game. If I'm laying down 40-50 non-refundable dollars, I want a test drive. I'm a realtor and when someone buys a home, they have an inspection done by a engineer. I think of demos as a "game" inspection.
  16. I just got mine in the mail in upstate NY.
  17. Alright then, I'm on the next flight to Berlin and I'm bringing my Swastika mod with me.
  18. Yet they got it in Europe already, Lame!
  19. Has anyone in the US gotten there preordered CMAK yet?
