I guess it will not appear for 24-48 hours.

There are 3 scenarios in this package. Reason for this is it is an all-out slugfest over the lower river-valley. Scenario 1 AT-Fire: Overlooking the valley on both sides are a large assortment of anti-tank and anti-aircraft guns. Scenario 2 Mortar Fire: About every type of Mortar you've ever seen will bombarb each shelf of the valley. Scenario 3 Other: This is Vehicles. Vehicles of every assortment will lend aid to taking the lower river valley. Each scenario has the exact same backup. A good (wide) assortment of tanks and infantry. The Allied and German sides are perfectly balanced in each scenario.

If you are a beginner or relatively new to CM, and want to see all the different units together on the battlefiled in a SUPER EASY to view census, try these missions. I have placed all units on the battlefield for both sides, and grouped them perfectly. You may never find a better training mission anywhere. Besides it being good for training, it isone of the best, massive pounding scenarios available... Read the intro below:

Sceptor - Where's your mini-campaign?
jpinard replied to jpinard's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Sceptor? -
Definately longer. But short are fun too. I like to have the "epic" feel to an operation. If all op's are short, you don't gettnat ultimate sense of satisfaction of outlasting your opponent. YOu play a different kind of game in a long op, and for those that say they yearn for new terrain, then they have not played a well designed long op. You can have a huge battlefiled with lots of varying terrain with interesting goals.

Can the ratings be spammed at Scenario Depot?
jpinard replied to jpinard's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I'm wondering how accurate the ratings are... -
I cannot find it on the Scenario Depot. Can you e-mail it to me? jpinard@home.com Thanks!

Loki, These are my own created exit sounds - new ones... I still felt the lesser explosion was too loud and obnoxious... The other sound replaces taps at the end of a game. Didn't like feeling like I lost "taps" after a great battle victory.

Wow, hi!! So good to see you! I'll be back soon (to AoW), but had to take a break for a while. I have several games I never even played because AoW took up so much of my time, and I've been very sick as my allergies have overwhelmed me and my CF. I am going to revamp the website soon too to make up for Kirsten's withdrawel. I just neede to play and learn some new stuff in the interim... Yes, you HAVE to get this. It is absolutley excellent. Too bad combat in AoW2 couldn't be done like this. What speed computer do you have? 3D accel? If you need any help AT ALL, please let me know OK?!

I've had a few more people ask for the Exit-End sounds, said they couldn't find them on your site. I couldn't either. Where are they? I cannot seem to find the 3rd party wav-mod section...

Super!

The new "exit-end sounds" I've e-mailed to lots of poeple should be posted soon to MadMatt's 3rd party mods area of his website. If you would like them, please check for them there! http://combathq.thegamers.net/

Excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could you please do a new Sherman, and a new Chruchill? Thanks!!

Here's the deal (not looking at the tungsten rounds). If you had tanks shooting at you, you're aim would probably become less accurate, as ypu'd be scared for your life. -Jeff

How do you pick up ammo from dead soldiers?
jpinard replied to jpinard's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Minnesota Joe, who the hell do yo think you are? I read the entire manual, and was responding about another thread I read where someone said their units were going around picking up ammo. I hope you're not one of the old vets. It's people lke you that scare others away from games and forums like this. Battlefront doesn't need jerks like you scumming up their forum. -
Where did you the first time heard about CM? (poll)
jpinard replied to Malmvig's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I believe after seeing incredible reviews by Computer Game Magazine (CD-Mag), and Gamespot (Computer Gaming World), I knew it had to be awesome. I thought the graphics looked terrible on BTS's website, so I tried the demo with little expectations, and was blown away!! I ordered it within 1 hour of playing the demo. -
I've sent out 3 batches of e-mails with ~20 names each with the new Exit and Win sounds. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that thought the "quieter" exit sound was still too loud and obnoxious... and didn't like hearing taps afer winning a battle (depressing!) If you still want the new sounds let me know.
-
If you're like me, I didn't like hearing "taps" at the end of my battles (especially when I won), and that "exit combat mission" sound is way too obnoxious. I have replaced the sounds with better ones. If you'd like them, I'll e-mail them to you. -Jeff

Just wondering if anyone has made any new mods. Sounds or textures...

Please keep it up!
