  3. 21 March 1941 Oasis of Giarabub, Libyan desert, near the Libya-Egypt border, 300 kms southeast of Tobruk.Since June 1940, the Australian 6th Cavalry Regiment had kept under control, then cut off, the Italian garrison of the holy Senussite oasis of Giarabub and its outposts. Even after the utter defeat of Italian 10th Army in February 1941, the stubborn garrison commander refused to surrender. In spring 1941 the British decided to put an end to that nuisance. On March 21st, 1941 a reinforced battalion of the Australian 18th Brigade struck the southwestern corner of the defensive perimeter and advanced in a blinding sand-storm...

July-September 1943 About Italy: 3 Infantry Divisions (Sabauda,Calabria, Bari) 2 Coastal Divisions 1 Paras Division (Nembo) plus a marine command (La Maddalena) and an air command. = 130.000 men . About Germany: The 90 PanzerGrenadier Division and other little units. = 25.000 men .   11. About Italian Army after Operation Husky, July 1943: in Italy + in France + in Jugoslavia: 39 Divisions (infantry,mountain,paras,armor,ecc.) 26 Coastal Divisions. Hope it helps you, Michael.
