  1. Whenever the TC gets it, the tank is shocked for one minute. I think that happens for every tank, regardless of experience. I don't think the T34/85 can penetrate a Tiger from the front at 700m, so they were very lucky on several points... - They don't have a high hit probability in the first place - They're very unlikely to do any damage (gun hit or crew hit due to flaking possible) /SirReal
  2. Now thats unlucky. Try running that one in the QB a few times, and see what you come up with. I think you'll agree that those T34/85 were just very lucky. /SirReal
  3. It's a small, intelligent gnome that stands beside you and corrects your mistakes when you're about to turn that prince into a gerbil rather than a frog. Much like Seanachai, except it's intelligent. /SirReal
  4. Russian tankers can't hit the side of a barn at range, and even when they do it seldom has a lot of effect. Avoid long-range armor engagement of any kind. Try to get within 300m. It's difficult, but that's why we play the russians, yes? The russians didn't win the war on a tactical level; the game reflects this well. They won it by out-producing the germans. I don't think this is reflected enough in the game. So disregard the costs, IMHO they're not balanced. Just know that russian infantry beats german infantry, and anything else german beats it's russian counterpart, usually with a good margin. /SirReal
  5. Oh well, I'll grant you that my minefield and wire emplacements were brilliant. And that my brave troops, fighting for the Rodina, disregard their personal safety while heroically resisting the fascist invaders. But just who dropped 600 tonnes of arty on the place and set it on fire, hmmmm? This is, of course, a balanced scenario unlike our first QB bout. You remember? When I had a probe mission (you got to attack), when I didn't have the luxury of a foggy night (and you do), when I had measly 30 turns (and you have 45)? All of these advantages, and I still agree that you were lucky to take that first VL. The AI would have done a better job. /SirReal
  6. What? Attacking in the foggy night using flamethrowers wasn't enough? You need MORE advantages? You think asking me to get off will help? BWHAHAHAHAA! No, you'll have to evict me, you german pigdog! I will read your future in your entrails, frogbreath. And let me tell you it doesn't look good for the bottom polishers of the Reich. /SirReal
  7. If you can't log on, but can browse, that means that your browser isn't accepting UBB's cookies. No, that's not a girlscout joke. Assuming you're using Internet Exploder, go into Tools, then Options. Click the Security tab, then the Custom Settings button. In the dialog that appears, scroll down to the section "Cookies". Make sure that both "Allow cookies that are stored on your compuer" and "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)" are set to Enable. Alternatively, get a good browser. I suggest Mozilla Firebird. /SirReal
  8. The scenario (tentatively titillatingly titled "Passing the Volga") has been mailed to Rune, to have it's excrementation factor judged. /SirReal
  9. Oh, what an excellent suggestion! Hey Rune, you reading this? Got a moment? /SirReal
  10. Well, dear liege of mine, I have an idea. Certainly not something as impressive as IL be seeing you, but an idea nonetheless. I'm not very good with the editor, but if I start, perhaps you could take a look at it and see what you think? /SirReal
  11. In fact, the entire webpage needs some quality time with a spell checker. But that's less than relevant, since it's a game tournament, not a spelling contest! /SirReal
  12. "Make order today and You will be the first." Sounds prophetic. And There Shall Be Order, And In That Order I Shall Be The First. I wonder if they ship via UPS? /SirReal
  13. What? No quick returners, Boo? Check your inbox, you hider of AT guns! /SirReal
  14. Run! Run for your sanity! Don't be like me, don't let yourself be sucked into the cesspool! Click the back button before you read another post! This is the fifth exclamation mark! It's too late for me, but you can still make it, SSN! Just Hit The Back Button! /SirReal
  15. Ohhh... that's gotta hurt. Perhaps a mercy killing is in order. /SirReal
  16. Well, since I've never had to undergo a body cavity search, I don't flinch at the snapping of a rubber glove. Don't worry though, I'm hardly going to the states just to stand before you, unashamed or not. Yeah, good old Gustav II Adolf. Now, that was a good king, capable of some real international butt-kicking. The ones we get nowadays just do PR. /SirReal
  17. Perhaps a bit unrelated, but I think I'm unbiased about graphic cards (I've owned both ATI and nVidia at different times, and both have been good and bad, on and off). My setup can perhaps serve as an example of what works well. My current setup allows me to run CMBB in the background or foreground without problems. Even allows me to run other games in the foreground. I've not had a single crash (despite the fact I never turn off or reboot). The machine is located inside a walk-in closet, and it's very warm in there. The mean temperature is about 40 degrees C outside the case. 18. That passage had my hopes up for half of it. But I guess his meek looks fooled them, and they only went over the car. /SirReal
  19. Oooh! Identifiable humor. Nice. Now try combining that attitude with a challenge. Then add some panache, and some balls. See if that might get you somewhere. Besides Coventry, I mean. /SirReal
  20. That was the lamest, most ignorable, boring, mind-numbing stupid challenge I've ever seen. It was even worse than my own first attempt at a challenge to Sir Nidan. And that says a lot. But then it's only a SSN. With a burned sponge for brains, I guess one can't expect a lot. You don't seem to have what it takes, SSN. So why don't you try sodding off? /SirReal
  21. Auto ceasefire? If he's sustained heavy casualties too, I think that can happen. /SirReal
  22. I think he'd be perfect for you, Boo. He's not witty or intelligent, and neither are you. You two can go off into a dusty corner and bore each others ears off and let the rest of us enjoy the MBT in peace. Now stop posting snore material and send me that setup you owe me! /SirReal
  23. I agree completely. There certainly wasn't any intelligence or tactics in display. You just sat on your mossy bottom, watching the heroic charge of my tanks, while your cowardly hiding AT guns snickered softly in the woods. I'll get you Next Time, you scum-sucking, bottom-dwelling, algae-eater, your luck won't hold forever! Mwuahahahaa!* /SirReal * That's an evil genius laughter. It signifies a sequel.
  24. Well, if it looks like armor, treat it like armor. Perhaps they'll fire HE when they ID the halftrack fully? /SirReal
