A "What would the tank do?" question.
THumpre replied to jshandorf's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Brian would attack the hamster. ------------------ When in doubt, charge. When in danger charge faster. -
Send me a setup. Any side any size any kind, I can lose with the best of them. ------------------ When in doubt, charge. When in danger charge faster.

Who has not been assimilated?
THumpre replied to Claymore's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Assimilated? is kind of like a simulated...never mind, the nurse just got here with the medications ------------------ When in doubt, charge. When in danger charge faster. -
So his deep seated self-loathing is causing an disproportional maladjustment of his Id/Super Ego conflux?

Yeah sure Germanboy, you always stick up for the gerbils and hamsters but, and again I ask, what about the Voles? You must know of the feared and decorated Free Volish Brigade? How can these brave mammals be left out of CM? It's a tragedy, a travesty, it's about time for my lithium..... -
Beyond WEGO, new system for CM2?
THumpre replied to Chupacabra's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I still want to know what is going to done about the Voles? -

Total Allied Victory....for the AI!!! (I am humbled)
THumpre replied to Zamo's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Well those "zippy little things" aren't nearly as high on my poop-list as the the dreaded- MMG Carrier!!!! God, how I hate those things. -
Hey, I'm easy. I figure that I am such a bad player I can't possibly complain about what side someone plays I agree that most of the battles should be meeting engagements though. ------------------ No matter where you go, there you are.

ooh, ooh do a Panther! Wait, that didn't come out right.... Great Cammo

Where are you from? (poll)
THumpre replied to Phil the Dill's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Newport Beach, California. BTW Anyone got any good suggestions on how to attach a surfboard to the top of my Sherman? Do I get a top armor bonus if I do? ------------------ No matter where you go, there you are. -
thepow! Mailbox is full, or something!

Second that dude... in the imortal words of my wife "take out the trash, NOW!!!" -
Intelweennie has it right. The advantage is sepparate from the Assault/attacker point multiplier. I just checked this and it works. Kinda nice if you want to give the AI some more points to play with.
-
IIRC, if you set one of the sides as the attacker you then set a bonus/disadvantage for that side. I did this once to see if it worked and it did in 1.01

Thanks, Fionn. That's what I thought. Interesting stuff I might add. As far as I can tell, be it Panther or Stuart, it is generally better not to let the "other guy" hit you at all ------------------ No matter where you go, there you are.

Wow, I consider myself a reasonably well-educated hominid but huge chucks of this topic went screaming over my head Facinating stuff though, If you don't mind a non-techie question- does "free edge" hits refer to hits that are on/in areas that are not contiguous, gun ports etc.? Oh, and thank you for one of the first posts in a while that didn't have someone accusing someone else of something ------------------ No matter where you go, there you are.

Send me a setup any side, any time, anywhere. I can get beat with the best of them email aewert@home.com

quote:
Originally posted by Formerly Babra: I've always loved the Church, but my biggest surprise with CM was the fast turret. Is that accurate? The turret traverse motor obviously doesn't use Lucas "Prince of Darkness" electrics if it's that good.

ROFL! Takes me back to my days as a MG Midget owner- It lived in the shop I ran into some Churchills in a PBEM game and bot did they do a number on my MkIVs. Those turrets are dynamite. ------------------ No matter where you go, there you are.

Don't forget the f46 "Le Bombe" anti-personel crepe pan. Any serious west front wargame has to model this.

Congrats gentlemen, I am glad to see superior workmanship and customer support still have a place in today's market. I am one of the lucky ones who got "the first batch" and it has not left my CD-ROM drive yet(and probably won't for a long time!) ------------------ No matter where you go, there you are.

You guys are probably gonna hate me but... I'm in Newport Beach and I got my first preordered copy Monday and I got other copy(which I ordered about 10 days ago today) What can I say, the mail gods like me. ------------------ No matter where you go, there you are.
