Look, if you don't have anything witty to say, maybe you should just shut the... (what was that Berli? I can't say that? But... Oh... Hmmm, bother...). Why don't you just stay quiet and let this abomination of a thread die. It is not like there has been any intelligent life sighted in here, apart from myself and Berli.

When the hell is this thing coming to the UK?

But the Germans started it again. Oops, I mentioned it... -
Hehe - I'd like to see someone improve on the guns in the game. That is a really tall order. Probably the most difficult one to improve on you picked there. The Churchill III needs one, IMO, but apart from that I don't think I will mod anything except for unit insignia and slogans, since I think the game is in good graphical quality, and mods often have a problem to 'fit' in with each other, because they have different levels of brightness etc. etc.

Just in case someone here does not visit the CMBB Forum... The George, 1830 until the beer runs out. Email me for directions. Hope to see you there.

Area fire, Area fire, Area fire. Anything where a sound contact pops up. Area fire. Anywhere where the enemy could hide. Area fire. Move the KVs up with the infantry. Area fire. Advancing infantry has to area fire. Have I mentioned area fire yet. It really helps. It still will be a bloody affair. Area fire makes it easier though...

As those of you who have already gotten them may have noticed, there are one or two scenarios by me on the CD. As always I would be quite interested in some feedback on them. You can either do this in this thread - therefore a generic SPOILER ALERT or do it through email in the profile. Thanks a lot in advance!

What you can do is manually adjust the density of trees and doodads, also reduce smoke to fast, buildings non-transparent, that kind of stuff. Apart from that, the game downsamples automatically to adjust to your graphics memory. I get 2 downsamples for my 16MB ATI card, at 1054x768 resolution. At 800x600 I get one, I think. I checked that in the beta error codes, so I have no idea if you can check it in the full game somewhere. -
Ethan, I heard you enjoyed your time in Zetten? Very good. Now Seanachai, I have finally given in to your pathetic post-card bullying, not because I hate you, no, because you got on my nerves, with your shrieking, wailing, girly 'send me a card' crap. So I did. Rest assured that it coming from me it will be the heights of tastefulness, and your postman will admire you for your selection of friends until the end of his career in your delivery district. To all Australians who still believe their country produces wine. No, it is not. It is Ribena with medicinal alcohol (that's the high-quality stuff) or Emu-piss added. Now sodd off.

grunt_gi - at a preview at my place the then Beta ran absolutely fine on an iMac 333 w/8MB graphics. No crashing, nothing. Ran in 800x600 or somefink like that methinks, but absolutely no problem. You will have trouble with high tree densities on medium maps upwards I should think (gets a bit jerky), but not in actually running the game, and running small-medium scenarios. Which, to be honest, are still the best. I don't know why so many people think that every CMBB battle has to be a Prokhorovka re-enactment... -

BTW Sasha, thanks for the compliment. Stickel, are you sure your QB in AG North was 1941/42 setting - default parameter is June 43, by which time all German units have gone to sand coloured camo. So you have to reset the date. no idea what the BMP is, and I can guarantee you that I play the same CDV version as you in terms of build. -
