  7. Otto Skorenzy was a fallschirmjager commando who took a group of men behind enemy lines drung the prelude and beginning of the bulge IIRC correctly. THey dresssed as americans changed roadsigns and caused general confusion before becoming caught... Skoreny and his men were executed by the US as spies ------------------ SS_PanzerLeader.......out

Increasiing the map would not help cure this problem... try playing a 5000pt game the map is huge ....we have close too 20 flags inthis game .....facing 10/000 pts ..it is impossible to defend against that effectively as it is due to size. I think this should be tweaked down if anything not up....(and Im not positive yet this map may be a flook)
  10. A resounding yes! There is NOTHING gamey about this ....god Im over that word already Again this is a game and a damn good one, if fact the best IVe evver bought but as a game/ application it shouyld be as user friendly as possible ...that is what this is an issue of. There should be nothing in a roster that isnt there now IMO the only diffference being is speed of play to access this issue. Some people should remmember that just because they arent interested in TCP/IP or Big games some of us are. Having a roster there and possibly the ability to double click on the unit portrait and go directly to that unit would be a HUGE improvement on the intereface... there is no logical argument that can deny this IMHO. This has nothing to do with being a better player...cycling through units has nothing to do with making you better it just slows ya down and becomes tiresome at times when ya have 5000pt defence. Hopefully after the TCP/IP comes out this may be implemented as it would be a great plus for the game.

I emailed these guys some time ago praising CM and asking if they would review it...I think a couple other CM players did too...well they listened and have put up a pretty good review of CM... they kinda hit with harder on the graphics are but not without explanation... and noting that it is a huge advance in wargaming....overall scores are excellent ------------------ SS_PanzerLeader.......out

  14. Hi all I have made a HUGE scenario and it looks to be a bitter fight I am posting the SITREP for all to read... I am looking for 6 testers that can play it at a good pace and will provide feedback after playing both sides.... indicating which side was played first and details/suggestions..THis is the first BETA yet is complete bar any necessary balancing. The scenario is fictious based on general factual area information, on units etc It is tournament locked and allied player must go first..... Please email me or respond only info you are serious I ask that you not distribute this as it is NOT the final version thanks Here is the SIT. Rep 10 Bridges to Hell SitRep: January 1945, Allied Forces are slowly advancing deep into what was once German occupied territory and are threatening several key areas guarding the path to Berlin. Despite the dismal failure of the German's bold attempt to counterattack in the Ardennes, not all of the Third Reich is ready to admit defeat! The German's launch another offensive in Alsace - Lorraine and pockets of heavy resistance have formed along many of the rivers throughout Germany, ensuring bitter fighting all the way to the Rhine as Nazi forces fight for their homeland. Simpson's Ninth and Hodges First Armies fight fierce battles to the north as they push towards the Ruhr Valley. To the south Patch and Milburn advances toward Wingen and Bitche, countered by the XIII SS Division. Several Divisions under Milburn push southeasterly trying to reach the Colmar and Rhone Rhine canals and the plethora of small rivers around them. Assisted by French forces under De Montsabert in the north and Bethouart in the south the Third Infantry and 12th Armored Divisions find themselves in a few square miles of hell. The last several days of combat just east of Colmar have been brutal both sides appear to want the bridges around Aarsbruugen intact and pockets of resistance are scattered over the entire valley leaving no definitive offensive line and peril lies everywhere. Hi I saw the How many Pbems thread and wondered about my fellow ICQ/AIM/Dcc players and how many they were juggling at once I have lots going And try and do my turns as quickly and effectively as possible...I'm hoping the time demands will improve my play for the upcoming TCP/IP patch the games I have currently are against 2 games with FAngorn aka Treebeard 1 game with Jason and starting another 2 games with swampy aka Casper 1 game with Ash aka Hunter 1 game with Capt Foobar 1 game with Bastables I also still have two ongoing PBEM's So what are how many are the rest of the clan doing? Oh I have also completed one or more games with most of these opponents in the last week since Ive been off school....can anyone say CM mania ------------------ SS_PanzerLeader.......out

Yah I agree for CM 2 something like this might be kool, with the computer calcualting casualtiies lost witha fighting withdrawl... this would save LOADS of time by not having to manully withdraw everyone... I jsut surrender half the time becuase its too time consuming to do otherwise ------------------ SS_PanzerLeader.......out
  19. God Enough already.... pissing and moaning about rarity and realism. There is NO game out there better than this..... give these guys a break! Not everybody plays the same .. they change points here and it pissed people off there ... if it aint broke dont fix it! Not everyone wants to be mandated as to what they can have on the battle field; if we did we would play the canned scenarios! We could play the comp pick battles and get a halftrack army! This is the only area Where we Got control over our stuff ... LEAVE IT ALONE! It isn't a very complex thing ... if ya dont like unrealistic forces specify your game up front! if you are hell bent on realism... play a canned realistic scenario.. if they aint good enough design your own! I dont buy tuns of anything -- it generally results in a flawed plan... but dont tell me what I can and can't have, and please dont keep pestering BTS about it.. TCP IP is a heck of a lot more important, than some point tweaks to suit some whiners! The whining about points from before increased the price of the humber ... to me it is now useless In conclusion.. If you dont want to play me fine ... I play an honest game >> I dont cheat.. I dont pull BS .. so if you wanna look down your nose at me because I had one or two more units that didnt meet your perfect historical army ..
