    Hi

    While I dont have a degree in film production, I did just take a film which in whcih I got an A so I know a little (very little compared to anyone in the industry) about the techniques etc involved in filmaking and editing. Although I'm by no means an authority I feel I can appreciate what goes into film composition from a more technical angle. Yet in regards to all the wonderful techniques of editing lighting and so on and so forth the end result can still be a ****ty movie - hence "the thin red line". It should've been called "the long white line" because it was a neverending venture down a boring highway. His use of the montage style format filmwide rather than just in individual scenes left alot of us scratching our heads going WTF? I only rented this on video and I felt ripped off for a buck, I'm sure glad I wasn't unfortunate enough to have to sit through it in the theatre

    The ones at Walmart and Kmart are called soldiers of the world and their quality isnt very good at all. Thre is some carried at toys r us with a differents name and they have 2 lines one of which runs are around 30 bucks. this company also makes a kettenkrad _ and the Panzergrenadier is awesome. Cant remember the co name tho and I threw the box away frown.gif

    Hey Col the sound file was way kool. was wondering if you would be able to take care of the explosions, ricochets, and vehicle movement as well, THe sounds of the Schwer hitting the landing craft in SPR were awesome but I'm sure you know that already wink.gif

    It would be really kool if you could get the water effects for the ones hitting the river since hte explosions actually look the same the sound difference would be a big plus. I'm figuring that all explosion hits are probably using the same wav, unless we get real lucky :P HEhe maybe for some the screams could be sampled too- I could go on smile.gif Hurry up already smile.gif J/K

    Hi<

    I'll try and address some of this as it has been brought up before. the Buildings from what I understand are one of the top things on the list for BTs to improve, although I'm not sure how much will make the first release. I do believe based on some hints I've heard that there are some building types we havent seen yet. As far as the roads go, to say they are all to wide is a relative thing to the terrain, not every road in the WTO was a narrow cobblestone street, but I too hope there is some variation to the paved version smile.gif. I myself was hoping to see a paved curved section rather than just the 90 turns shown. Hopefully if this stuff doesnt make it into 1.0 it will make it into the expansion. As far as the windows and appearance go I believe you will be able to take the buildings into paint shop pro or another paint program and give them designer colors if you wish :P hope this helps

    HEy man why dont you give theses guys a break with this type of post? This is two that are virtually the same, right in a row. I am dying to know so bad I can't stand it, but even I think this is a bit much. You more or less just asked this question on the other thread and this surely isn't worthy of a new topic. It is evident they are not going to say anything until ttey are ready to, and are not going to be coaxed into doing so. The pranksters efforts in decieving us all would have brought that about IMHO as they were not happy. So just let them get on with their work and we can hope it wont be much longer.

    Speaking of children I hope you dont let on to yours about your strange gaming habits.     Sorry Major But for playability and realism a line should be drawn somewhere and a timer would allow an agreement that is unbreakable between teh opponents. I personnaly donot want to play a competitive style game against an opponent that takes an hour a turn, I dont have that kind of time to burn.

    Also your analogy is shortsighted do to the magnitude of this game, if you have 200 units per side and you spend a minute + per unit, cmon that is a bit much smile.gif

    Nope not at all I think it is essential. It is highly unrealistic to have an hour to plot a 1 minute turn IMHO. I also believe view of the map should have an optional control that prevents us from moving the camera past our actual front line as we would really be unable to get right up evaluate the terrain that is past our current control ( unless we had had units there prior)
