  1. I did the dirty and downloaded that 50 meg CC4 demo!! ANyway - err what a culture shock! Its so flat! WTF!! What's with the rockets?!?!   2. Well I'm a 'lazy' gamer, I prefer to watch more than I play I hate micro-managing! I mean I just want a 90sec turn as an option for single play, so I get more movie watching in each turn. Ok if BTS implemented a Computer vs Computer game mode in the phased style of a PBeM, then I would not need this feature Yes! Actually why doesn't BTS implement a Computer vs Computer mode using the PBeM play sequence?! I would love this, and it would be easy to implement! The AI would do orders for each side in a turn, since it is phased, it would take the role of the 2 players in a normal PBeM. And you would watch each sides movies in turn, and see it from that sides perspective. How about it BTS? This reason why its playing slowerr, is because the sound was recorded at a higher sampling rate than what the game is playing them aty You'll need to resample the sounds at the correct sampling rate, while maintaining the original pitch - you'll need some pro audio software to do that - I have a whole bunch I use, such as Steinberg WaveLab , SOund Forge snd Coole Edit Pro.   7. Ok BTS I was wondering if the the kill/death animation has been redone, or will it stay the same as in the beta demo? I just find it really cheap looking when a kill is just registered with a ugh and a tugged back soldier - or a squad just disappears whne eliminated. How about a a death animation - so at least we know at a glance when watching the movie that casualties are happening. Have an animated soldier fall to the ground and dissappear - no dead bodies needed just a nice animation for casualties . Have one anim for light casualties, and another one for large casualties or a squad elimination. I'm not eeven gonna bother downloading the demo - not at 50+megs on a 56.6k modem, well Unreal Tournament and Quake3 demotest I downloaded, but I knew they would be good, but CC4 been theree done that, I can't believe how flat CC3 looks to me! The only flat games I'll except are ones that look like a boardgame, ala ASL. ERRR Leadtek Geforce 32 meg card One thing I noticed, on both my TNT2 and Geforce is the mipmapping effect on the roads at view level 1, the road closest to you looks fine, but when you move of to the distance, it goes all block and yuck, I have 12 mipmap levels turned on - on my video cards, so it shouldn't do that (it looks like one mip level) - I just hope its early d3d drivers in the Beta demo ------------------ CCJ aka BLITZ_Force My Homepage - Just updated, check out my MP3 and Combat Mission photos www.geocities.com/coolcolj/
  17. I just find the sounds a bit tinny on my Studio Speaker (they are very accurate) - sort of like through a telephone effect.   24. Yes! Even slow computers can benefit from this!! That will solve the shadow problem...with no cpu hit, and a hardware T+L moon/sun with its position related to the time of day - yes!   25. I just finished the game as the US and got spanked!! Big time spanking! ;( I expected a few AT guns but no, there were none, managed to charge in and take out the STugs, but then got cocky and lost all my SHermans to a sneaky Shreck team (a bold one at that!) Underestimated the German strength in the Left side woods, and moved 2 Platoons there, and most got wiped out while the rest routed back to the Left side buildings. On the right side, and low on ammo, a platoon held on in the woods and in a stone building. I was expecting some more Shermans to arrive - " I don't care how you do it, just give me some those damn'ed Shermans now! ". But they never did And so I had to call a truce.
