  1. Great customer service here at Napoleons headquarters!
  2. I did the entire campaign pack (includes 2 battles and an operatrion). Get it here: http://www.wargamer.com/cm/wg-scenarios/kh.zip
  3. I am an avid miniature gamer. I find miniature gaming enjoyable for the fact that you can have as many players as you want and you can limit the gaming to your imagination. They have figures and terrain for just about every period and theather in WW2. I feel the painting and research is also half the fun. I recently converted a minitures game to CM to see how it worked. The results were roughly equal. Someday I am going to combine the 2. One cyber-player can try and break through into Arnhem using CM via TCP/IP and if he does the reinforcements arrive on the table. Meanwhile the other players are playing on a nice model of the actual battlefield with beautifully painted figures and vehicles. I consider miniature gaming true 3-D. There is a lot to be said about CM. If multiplayer included 2-12 people and any theater and vehicle in WW2 could be set up in a scenario and a full campaign program was included then I would consider giving up WW2 miniatures. Until then I am having fun seeing the look of disgust on my opponents face when the 116th Panzer division arrives to trash his Shermans in our Aachen miniatures campaign.
  4. Would there be any way to have the site pick a radom map that could be stored online somewhere? I could upload 100 home made QBs for random play.
  5. Your troops won't be transparent. Only thier personalities.
  6. Great idea. I spend so much time with my maps and it would be great to share ideas.
  7. Check this site: http://plaza.v-wave.com/escapeclause/small_lan.html Once you setup a LAN you won't want to play via internet any longer. Find someone and play "we fight and die here". You can complete it via LAN in a week.
  8. Get the largest amount of video ram you can. My buddy has a HP and it works well.
  9. The AI is very poor when it comes to using intergated AT. Did you check to see what version faust you had on hand? Perhaps it was a 30.
  10. No. Only the version number of the game makes a difference.
  11. I have GREAT BATTLES OF WWII Vol 1 The Canadians in Europe. Published by The Canadian Wargamers Group. It has a lot of info on Dieppe for miniatures gaming.
  12. I am game. Let me know by email please. lempereur@aol.com
  13. http://cgi.ebay.aol.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1141406196 Some Mod makers might be interested.
  14. Get the whole campaign here with the Railway attack, battle near the canal, and the entire Operation!http://www.wargamer.com/cm/wg-scenarios/kh.zip
  15. Good idea. Perhaps you could pick based on campaign locations as well. So if you pick Arnhem you might wind up with British Paras.
  16. Well make a designers decision and go with it. Always lean toward playability rather than historical acuracy.
  17. Have them retain their tripods. I dont think gamers will care about small details like that. Why not just boost their ammo loadout?
  18. Scenario almost ready. I playtested the AI to a draw! Email me if you want to playtest. Its 30 turns of tactical thinking.
  19. Same thing happened to us over the LAN. I think it had something to do with troops mounted in halftracks. The AI was wacked out over a few HTs wich dissappeared and reappeared after setup. Try dismounting all the troops and replay it.
  20. Franko, I think the Germans need some panzershrecks. This account mentions them: http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/books/wwii/7-8/7-8_6.htm The scenario plays very close to history.
  21. Yeah Franko, He was off all week so I figured we would tackle the largest Bulge operation out there. We were glued to the computer everyday to complete each battle. The Op was very closely matched to the historical events and fun to play. The post game aspect that we discussed was the tactics you have to use in each weather condition. This was a challenge. We both agreed that the Germans had little chance of victory, mainly due to the axis of advance caused by deep mud. I made it to the high ground overlooking the Chateau and wood to its front as Germans. I then had to pull back about 1 KM to avoid the massive artillery barrage on the following turn. Then the US player counter-attacked driving me all the way back to the town. I think I had mabye 1 tank left and a handful of inf and spotters.
  22. The Stugs will probably never make it to the end of the battle. You need to think in terms of a Regimental action. The 1st battle is just a skirmish, trust me. Its a long way to the Chateau at the other end. This will take you months to complete by PBEM.
  23. Any info on the crossing at St Goar March 1945 would be appreciated. Looking for photos of terrain. Working on an interesting scenario. Thanks in advance.
  24. Without spoiling it too much, you need to advance to secure the road nets. Any armor that you have will become bogged or immobilized off road. HTs will have better luck off road. One more thing, WATCH OUT FOR AT GUNS AND MASSIVE ARTILLERY STRIKES! My roommate and I played this entire thing via LAN over a weeklong period. The allies won a tactical victory. Very exciting at times, and frustrating at others. Bad weather can be a dual edged sword, you will get very bad weather to deal with as well as night assaults. You have a tough assignment ahead of you as Germans.
