  1. ok Doug,

Noted. I'll see what I can do.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Oh, and after you have played the scenario, Would you mind giving me some feedback on it also.

I'm still learning how to use the editor, and Before I jump in to doing a historical scenario I wanted to Do some fictional ones.

  2. Doug,

Thanks for asking. I'm doing fine. Believe it or not I'm still a little sore though.

As for the scenario. It really doesn't matter which side you play first. I tried to design it so that no matter which side you favored it would play well.

Wild Bill, Sounds great! I'll drop you an e-mail. If it is the episode I'm thinking of.. It would be a nice little CM battle.

  3. As for the flags on my site.

They are located under the downloads section.

The link to download them is "Old German Flags". The file is flags.zip

Just unzip the file and there are two .bmp's one for small victory flag and one for large. Just send those to your bmp folder.

I can grab them fine from work. Is anyone else having a problem?

    Thanks

  4. Reddog,

on a PC just hit [print screen] and then paste it into your paint program.

If you get a shot I'd be happy to post it on my site also.

I'm also toying with the idea of posting turn Movies where strange or great stuff happend. I'd just need the movie file and password if it is pbem.

  5. Charles,

Reminds me of a board game I bought around 1990 or so "M.B.T."

a friend of my from sl/asl days decided to play it. Needless to say I think it had a lot of popaganda built in. After a couple of games we decided that russian tanks just couldn't take out an abrams.

Needless to say The box wasn't opened again.

  6. RMC, I think we are arguing two diffrent points.

I'm stating that on most maps nation flags are used to represent territory gained.

I'm not saying everyone went around raising their flags after a battle.

I don't understand that argument. In case your wondering the flags are just to let you know whats important and who controls it. There really aren't 300 ft. flagpoles all over europe waiting for people to run a flag up.

  8. well, I haven't recieved any scenarios to post at my site yet.. So I decided to make one of my own. (I hate seeing an empty page).

It is a small fictional battle in the village of Antan, over a couple of small bridges.

I'm really looking for some feedaback on a couple things.

Troops per map size (too many, too few)

Visual appearance ( terrain varied enough)

    Just general comments.

I'll even take a nice "that sucked lorak" as long as you give a couple reasons.

For those that DL'd it yesterday. I removed the troops to take a screenshot and when I added them back I forgot to replace them. Sorry.. It is fixed now. Thanks for the e-mail.

  9. RMC,

It really comes down to this. I think the old flags look better.

Using flags for victory locations is just easier. Almost every war game I've evrplayed and most war books I have show Teritory under control with a nations flag.

I would like to hear your suggestions on what should be used in place of flags.

American ( I assume you just want the star)

German ( maybe just the iron cross)

    Britan (the bullseye)

    Poland ( ? )

Canada (maple leaf... wait that is their flag)

    Free French ( ? )

It is just easier to use the flags.

  10. The Manual states that Mounted units can not fire.

    Reasons I figure.

Too damn busy holding on. (tanks, ect..)

Too busy hiding. ( you ride in a half-track to avoid small arms fire, not stand up and fight from it).

Not enough Men to be effective( 12 guys in a half-track. Maybe two on each side could shoot. The chances of two rifles fired by men standing in a track while moving over rough ground hitting their tagets is slim and none... and slim left home.)

I don't really see where it makes much diffrence.
