Sniper's scenario recommendation for the day
sniperscope replied to sniperscope's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Go to the scenario forum. Lookup dumbo. I think he has a link, If not I can email it to you. sniperscope -
I just recently played an outstanding scenario that I would like to recommend to the group. I was made by a user named Dumbo and the scenario is called Blaketown. For the most fun I recommend that you command the Brits first. The scenario has some nasty surprises and the whole experience was loads of fun. I can’t go into details as to what happened to me because it would spoil the fun for others. On a 1 to 5 rating this one gets 4 stars. sniperscope [This message has been edited by sniperscope (edited 06-28-2000).]

Kump, I am going to have to agree with you here. I can't explain why but I also keep thinking this is a fulfillment issue. With so many orders going out, the chance of errors being made goes up. I sure hope this is not the case. Good luck. sniperscope

Dam Kump I hope you guys get yours soon. It's everything we ever wanted in a land based wargame. I remember reading somewhere that it takes 4 days for BTS answer back on e-mails. sniperscope

Strategy Gaming Online - Wargame site? and poll
sniperscope replied to Hunter's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Mark lV I think that you can only vote once over there. I would not be too concerned about the CC people, sooner or later they will see the light. sniperscope -
Guys the key to sneaking is your leader. Make sure that leader has a question mark icon. When a leader is present with this icon the units are harder to spot. sniperscope

In my case I placed an STG in the wrong type of terrain in setup causing it to be bogged down for the rest of the game. I shot it's commander. sniperscope

Why is Combat mission better.....
sniperscope replied to KhanQueso's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
KhanQueso, again I have to point out that Mr. Shaw's statement are true. BTS repeatedly asked the CM forum members not to push our game at the CC forum. But I have to ask you a question. Are you an emplyoee of Atomic? Or are you a customer like the rest of us? If you are a customer then I fail to see your problem. If someone comes to this forum and states "go check out the hell on wheels wargame, it has this and that and it's better than CM " I will run and check out to see it it's true. Why? because I am a customer, I want the best product for my money. This forum, for the most part is made up of people who have played both games and came to the conclusion that CM is a better product. However, in my opinion (I have most of the CC's) I have got to tell you that their simply is no contest. Don't get offended by my statement. If you disagree then lets try the following. Download the CM gold demo. Play it, come back to the forum and state your case as to why CC is better than CM. sniperscope -

sniperscope replied to kump's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Mr. Shaw is right on point. CM sells itself. We are not at war with the Close Combat forums. If you don't want to play a great war game like CM, then don't. sniperscope -
CM Idiots on the CC Board.
sniperscope replied to KhanQueso's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I am sorry you feel that way. CM is a great game. If you don't want to play it then just have a nice day. Enjoy your close combat games. sniperscope -
Yeah baby CM2 is going to happen!!! I think I have died and gone to war heaven. Thanks BTS. Echo, please lets get our PBEM started. sniperscope

This is what I love the most about the web. I am reading about people from across the pond who love the same game as I. Small world. Perhaps we can get some type of game going. My German forces against the Brits? Please let me know. sniperscope -
