Is it in the Quick Battles ?----Are you sure you are selecting the Airborne Infantry option in the initial choice selection panel.... Its just that I tend to do inane things like that and then try all the really complex ways of remedying a simple mistake..... NB Do you also have the Rangers uniform mod installed-- Try removing that before using the Airborne mod...

If your order status is "shipped" it should be OK but you should have had an email when it shipped with the date indicated and you could check with Helpdesk to clarify that aspect. Cheers

Steve-thanks for your involvement--as suggested we will check the sitn again on Thurs 23 June (5 week point) and if there are still missing orders then we would expect some BF initiated investigation with the carriers and some resolution of this thorny issue. Thanks and lets hope it wont be necessary.

Sgt Grunt--You should have received an email informing you "order status changed to shipped "--with date If not seen--check your junk mail and/or contact BF customer help and get a ticket to deal with your query.

Thanks to all of you who responded with feedback. This quick straw poll shows that of those who responded in this category (UK 18 May shipping) Up to this date 3 weeks after shipping Those who have recieved the game ----3 Those with no delivery or news so far---10 This does seem a very poor success rate after 3 weeks---But Steve has suggested in this thread that a 5 week wait should occur before any action is taken. In honesty I do not recall any such warning to customers at the time of purchase that a considerable number of us should possibly anticipate this sort of delay. But I suggest that in keeping with this judgment and advice we all wait until THURSDAY 23 JUNE (5 week point) ,take a new poll to reveal the current situation and then , if necessary discuss with Steve and BF what action can and should then definitely be launched. There seems to be increasing evidence of a link between Missing Deliveries in UK and a shipping date of 18 May. Would all UK preorderers whose order shipped on 18 May please just add a reply to this thread indicating whether you have or have not received your game. This should clarify the situation Thanks I will start the list as someone with a shipping date 18 May and no game delivery.

YankeeDog--Thanks for advice--seems very sound to me -employ both suppressive fire and an overwatch team with fire arcs If in a difficult sitn you had only 1 element available apart from the assault team would suppression or overwatch with fire arcs be the better option ? Thanks

As a CM1 returner -one question I would like to raise is this----if you have a squad running toward a building or wood etc to try and take possession of the location and where enemy presence is unknown, is it preferable to set up active suppressive supporting fire from other units into the area or to give supporting units firing arcs so thet will directly engage enemy units who appear in the area. Thanks

I think that these days things can become very complicated and DHL for example often contract out the final stage of their delivery to Parcelforce or other local delivery service. This makes for very murky water when trying to track or trace any problem. My UK delivery (also "shipped 18 May") has also done a disappearing act and I have just left a ticket with BF Delivery Dept to try and get some sort of feedback re these ludicrous inconsistencies in delivery service and to at least try and get them to find evidence and to be able to assure me it is in fact still enroute and not totally lost .....

Green As Jade-- May I point out I explainedin my earlier posts that I was attaching no blame or responsibility to BF but I do think I have a right to complain about a delivery system which is so widely inconsistent in the time it takes to deliver to different customers many only a few miles apart in the same country. Secondly-we all did receive an email stating when our order status had changed to "shipped".

Vein--you have confirmed a worrying theory of mine-- who at BF specifically handled the delivery of18 May shipping consignment to the local carriers---has that person been seen since by anyone or is he now sailing a yacht named "Normandy Steal" in the Bahamas in the company of a young curvaceous nubile blond from Matrix Games Id like to know if anyone at all has actually received a game dispatched by BF on 18 May. First I would like to read and browse the manual in a civilised way. But the real issue is whether the game is actually coming at all or is lost. This is the heart of the urgency issue -- I could steel myself to slighly protracted delay if it was officially confirmed en route. First ,I would like to be able to read and study the manual properly---but the crucial question is to know whether its on its way at all or lost--putting up with some delay is fine if you are assured it is on its way but not knowing whether its coming at all or not is a big problem . That is the real urgency-to deal with that question. G'day

Speedy- I appreciate your illustrative anecdotes re deliveries--but to wait for 4weeks and then quite possibly to discover the items have been lost --does not seem reasonable to me. Carriers must keep records of what they carry and should be able to find out what has happened to any item in their charge and care and at least be able confirm it is still en route or missing and lost.If they cant do that they are not conducting a proper business in relation to their paying customers. Their service is not fit for purpose. I have to ask BF to make the enquiry because they have the relevant documentation re the carriage arrangements .All we have is a receipt from BF showing payment for game and delivery. Cheers

Steve --Thanks for your comments--but neither "Underfire"nor myself were "late dispatches".Both were sent from BF 18 May and many others dispatched much later (eg 24May) have been delivered round the world including the UK. One forum member living only15 miles from me reported his delivery a few days ago on the forum. What we do need to know is that the games are definitely en route and will be delivered soon. And we certainly need positive reassurance that they have not been lost or disappeared and cannot be traced--in which case immediate measures would have to be taken to sort the matter out.We cannot just go on vainly hoping they will arrive if they are lost. Could Battlefront please get some feedback from DHL about these long overdue deliveries in UK re my order "Pcelt" (David Hawken) and that of "Underfire". Thanks --please let me know.

I am one such disillusioned preorderer-----steelbox dispatched by BF 18 May and since then - a deafening silence. The forum has reported deliveries all over U.S, Canada, Europe including many UK addresses and Australia----many (some in UK) citing BF dispatches as late as 24th and 25th May which have been delivered. There is no logic which explains these huge discrepancies . I am now seriously doubting whether in my case any delivery will actually be made. I dont know if Im the only non-recipient but if there are other long -term waiters it would be useful if you mailed this thread asap indicating your location(City,Country) and the date of the Battlefront Dispatch. We need to know the extent of the problem of delivery failure and also whether there is any pattern related to the failure--eg Dispatch date or location etc. I should also like to ask Battlefront whether there are any steps they can take in the interests of their customers re contacting DHL and any other links in the delivery chain to try and determine the cause of the unreasonable and unacceptable and inconsistent delays that some of us are being subjected to.I am not in any way holding BF responsible but they are our only link with the distribution chain. We cannot do anything ourselves to get any information or help from DHL etc I await feedback and ideas from any other affected purchasers Thanks very much

Message to thread-starter Sandy My sympathy--but at least you know your "steal box" has arrived in UK---no news whatsoever of my preorder (shipped 18 May) ostensibly for Brighton UK . Could be in Mars or up Uranus by now. I also notice you mention "Parcelforce or farce" but I thought they were being delivered by DHL --they are the company Battlefront indicated on purchase document. Could you or any other favoured UK Stealbox recipient confirm carrier please.

Greetings Vein---Excellent v2 terrain--really impressed by all but one feature --not sure about the corn fields. June, July, August the corn is becoming ready to be harvested and is ,in my view usually more yellowed than strawlike in appearance But an extraordinary and brilliant piece of work--many thanks.

One display feature I would like in CNBN which TOW does implement is the apparent continuation of the terrain from the battle area to the screen edge. It avoids this effect of battling on a terrain board with edges floating above the surrounding landscape and nor being part of it. I dont know how difficult it is to implement such a " terrain continuation" feature but I think it would really improve the overall viewing and feeling of immersiveness.

Anyone else still waiting in UK --"Shipped 18 May" and still no sign of steelbox here in Brighton Sx. UK

eciesse--I agree with you about the overall visual quality of TOW Kursk/Caen--but as a convincing combat simulation with credible and challenging fighting with and against AI units and for the huge variety of OOBs you can select and organize and for all the relistic command and control features which permeate the game --all of which leads to continued and varied challenges and game longevity---CMBN wins hands down. I played and enjoyed at a certain level TOW games for a while and marvelled particularly at the visual quality--but attractive as they are, I dont think I am likely to return to them when the CMBN game for me provides a much more realistic,convincing and challenging WW2 military environment.
