  1. Excellent questions! It shouldn't mess anything up. Sometimes patches can. I was worried about the Tournament that is scheduled to start on February 5th. I started a PBEM++ battle with myself using v2.10 and then tried to continue it with v2.11 and didn't have a problem. That said, we've left it up to Slitherine if they can get the patch up on Steam before the tournament starts or if we should push the start date back a couple of days to be safe. Also, I don't know how long it will take them to patch. They told me it's usually 1-2 days. So if you're using Steam you're better off making the save sooner rather than later Any saved games it's always safer to make sure to save the game in the plot phase before installing the patch. You'll probably be fine if you don't but it doesn't hurt to be extra sure.
  2. The CMFB v2.11 patch is now available on our Patches page. Come and git it!!!! "What? Are you trying to tell me there is even an additional Downfall scenario?" Yes. Yes, I am. This is what the patch contains: ******************************** v2.11 PATCH NOTES ******************************** SCENARIOS * Added new Standalone scenario, "DF Home Alive in Forty-Five" (by @MarkEzra) * Updated the following scenarios with minor fixes and adjustments: * DF Drop Zone P * DF Ride on Riede * DF Time of a Hero * DF Metal on Metal (Pershing vs Tiger) TO&E * Ostwind are now available as single vehicles * PSW 234/4 available January 1945 * Corrected a low-ammo issue for a US specialist team MANUAL * Updated manual to reflect Commonwealth tanks having tank-rider "seats" BUG FIXES * Fixed the M26 Pershing mantlet alignment, as well as it rotating when the barrel should have elevated * Fixed a rare circumstance when fortifications could appear as invisible to the enemy player in H2H battles * Fixed a missing texture on the Sherman V bow machine gun * Fixed "glowing" pieces on the Sd.Kfz. 234/4 * Fixed some visual issues on the M26 Pershing and Cromwells
  3. It shouldn't. All the PBEM++ turns run through the game itself, regardless of whether you're using the Steam or Battlefront or Matrix version.
  4. The activate utility for the v2.10 patch was defective. A new patch has been uploaded to the Patches page with the v2.10b patch. The only thing this new patch contains is a new activation tool. The all-in-one full game installer has also been updated.
  5. BAM!!! Charles delivered very quickly for us and @Ultradave and @Buzz jumped on testing it (not all heros wear capes). Here's a link to the hotfix patch. V2.10b. The only thing this patch does is fix the activation software. https://battlefront.sharefile.com/share/view/s67ebb0d11051471b82f38d1509193e67/fo3da7e1-e496-45bd-91c1-9474d1dbe5b7
  6. Great news, folks. Charles has found the issue and is making a hotfix patch. Before posting it I want a couple of our beta testers to make sure it works but I think I will have sumfink today. Once we make sure it works I will replace the patch on our patches page and post a link in this thread. Thank you for your patience.
  7. Both Charles and Steve are working with me to sort this out. It seems peple are seeing one of these 2 things: 1. Script won’t run at all 2. Script runs but there’s no screen confirming Activation and the game either launches without Downfall or fails to launch (bouncing icon in dock) Does that sound right?
  8. We got a couple of Help Desk tickets today with sumfink like this and are working to figure out why. Right now we think it is a permissions issue.
  9. I've never been in the military but that's kind of exactly what I would expect to happen in the real world. RPG gets a kill and isn't postively spotted and all the fire power that has eyes on the suspected location open up on it? Sounds right to me. Mirrored matches are all that we peddle in.
  10. We can't remove any of the UI but we changed the set up areas and have all offboard arty now a reinforcement. So you can't get pummeled turn 1 arty. So, the changes we did make should help mitigate some of the issues.
  11. Combat Mission: Final Blitzkrieg Tournament The Tournament will begin February 5, 2024 and you can join now. This Tournament will feature 3 rounds with 3 different scenarios. Last Man Out- Remnants of 17th Armored Infantry Battalion attempt escape from Herrlisheim. Axis probe Trouble with Siegfried- Forward US elements meet the Westwall. Allied attack. Cutline to Grosshaw – Opposing infantry platoons clash during a fighting patrol into the Hurtgen Forrest. Meeting engagement Before joining the tournament, please take a moment and carefully read these instructions that are specific to all Combat Mission Tournaments!!! - Please DO NOT join the tournament unless you can commit to playing about 1 turn a day and playing the tournament through to it's completion. Not doing those will ruin someone else's tournament. - Because of the way that Combat Mission’s original “play by email” system works, both game files have an in-game field for password protection of the file. This field should be left blank. For the Allied side the password has been selected before the battles were sent and that field is to be left blank. You can use a password for the Axis side but it isn’t needed because the Tournament feature handles protection from cheating without using the in game system. - The Tournament will have you playing 2 individual battles where you are playing both sides of the same battle. If you get into the game before your opponent, you will see 1 game turn to play. If your opponent has gotten there first then you will see 2 turn files and each turn thereafter should have 2 files. - Once a tournament begins you will receive the files in the "Saved Game and PBEM"; drop menu under Automated PBEM++ In Progress. You will receive email notifications when your opponent has sent you turns. - When logging in you MUST use the email address associated with your Martix account - You will need a Matrix user name and password to play any tournament (or PBEM++ battle). If you don't have one already you can get one here: https://www.matrixgames.com/login Sign up now either through the game or here: https://www.matrixgames.com/tournaments
  12. We're very excited to present the Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg module : Downfall. Check out it's webpages for all of the details about this huge module. Downfall As with other releases the content for Downfall is in a patch. Which means the v2.10 patch is also released. Use the Activate New Prodeucts utility and enter your Downfall license key to "unlock" it's content. In addition to the Downfall module, the patch introduces Slitherine's PBEM++ and Tournament features to Final Blitzkrieg. We really think everyone is going to love this new addition to the Combat Mission stable.
  13. The module has been released! I am "unpinning" this thread.
  14. Are you sure? That is the file I used to get you the missing scenarios. I ran that installer then plucked out all scenarios out and sent them to you.
  15. HT's answer is good. I use a free one called Bandizip.
  16. There is nothing to be resolved. A thread was locked. Intellectual property is probably the most sacred thing to us (and anyone that creates.....whether it's software or music or movies etc...). When there is even a hint that sumfink might not be right the red lights start flashing. I had a conversation with Frank a while ago about this and he told me he wasn't selling it. I believed him then and I believe him now. That said, the thread had things that could be confusing to people that haven't payed close attention to the project. The use of (certainly not trademarked) commonly used Battlefront phrases like "Pre-orders" and "Battle Pack", and then someone giving instructions on a step to send payment can cause confusion. It meant the thread needed to be locked down. If you want proof that there can be confusion you don't have to look any further than @slippy's linked post above. Yesterday I got both a Help Desk ticket and a "Reported Content" post notfication about it. That does not mean it can't be discussed. That doesn't mean that there can't be multiple threads talking about it. It doesn't mean it can't be hyped. There is nothing to be resolved because we haven't shut anything down but a thread. We love community made content. That's why we created such a powerful editor. We encourge it.
  17. That would be an idea. But the better idea is to find out why they are showing as corrupted files, fix it and but the fixed version link in. Which is what has been done.
  18. Open up a Help Desk ticket and I'll get you the scenarios.
  19. WE always strong encourage user made content but it is 100% against the EULA to sell Battlefront content. HUGE no no. I am locking down this thread. If it is discovered that Mr X is selling this then further action will be taken. We'd had a conversation a few months ago and he assured me that wan't the case.
  20. You and ratdeath are not the obnly ones who tried to redeem a key for sumfink they don't offer yet.
  21. I am mirroring the Matrix/Steam sale. CMFB is not available yet with them.
