  1. Since it was short notice [my fault] and the fact that a lot seem to be busy on Saturday, I will put this off untill another time. Rune
  2. Time will depend on how many are interested. Rune
  3. See this thread. TOW Chicago Preview Rune
  4. Awaiting permission to have my usual preview for a new game at my house. If you are near Chicago, since my wife and kids are on vacation starting Saturday, I will host a TOW preview if there is enough interest. That would be this Saturday 8/5/2006. Rules: 1. If you come, you agree to live under NDA [Non-disclosure agreement] and only discuss outside the preview what I give permission to. 2. Why Chicago? It is where I live. If you don't like it, get over it. I will send my address in email once I get permission. 3. Since I AM sending my address in email, make sure I have your email address. 4. I will have some sodas and beer. If you want something specific, BYOB. 5. The scotch and whiskey remain untouched, unless NG Cavscout and Bugged show up. They won a contest I ran. So post here if you are interested. Rune [ August 02, 2006, 03:42 PM: Message edited by: rune ]
  5. Yes, I have 2 GB of memory. RUne
  6. Time to rub it in.... On my system, AMD 4800+ Dual Core, and a top of the line video card, the 7800 GTX, I see no slow downs with the graphics set to max including grass. However, I have not yet played some of the bigger maps. However, mayve someday Moon will get a real video card. Rune
  7. Well, it wouldn't have been bad if my Boo unit didn't keep dropping her purse. Once rescued by a passing Belgian Tank, the infamous "SturmSebber Mark IV", I lost the Boo unit again when it and the crew from the tank went into a nearby hotel. My Berli unit chased a Seanachai infantry unit [short] all over the map, and kept repeating something about "putting the wee willy back to where it belongs". And you thought Beta testing was easy... Rune Boo said: "Transvestites Of War? You certainly are... odd, aren't you?"
  8. Boo you blithering idiot, I could be playing TOW instead of lowering myself and posting to the likes of you. However, I posted this to Lorak Rune says: Boo wants to know if it is really you Lorak says: As if some other person would actualy admit to being Lorak And that sums it up rather well. Rune Some more: Rune says: An excellent point Lorak says: are most of the original pengers still around even? Rune says: for some reason, a lot have come back Rune says: bauhaus Rune says: Peng himself Rune says: Joebob is making podcasts Rune says: http://pengchallenge.blogspot.com/ Lorak says: joebob? crazy mormon joe? Lorak says: lmao Rune says: listen to the podcasts, and keep from losing your lunch [ July 28, 2006, 07:08 PM: Message edited by: rune ]
  9. Rune says: boo asked Rune says: "But tell us, Oh Lorak, how shall we... feck off?" Lorak says: lol Lorak says: with extreme prejedice Lorak says: yes. I think them fecking off by sucking a glock would be a good start. Lorak says: call it fore play Rune
  10. Dear Bastidges of the Mutha beautiful Thread, I was playing some Theatre of War, when out of no where, my chat lit up with a long lost member of our home. Not having the capability of posting here, due to his firewall at work, I asked if I could post anything for him, here is his reply: Lorak says: heh, the ghost of Lorak has risen from the shadows to tell everyone to feck off. Called away by a ringing phone...I will let you know if the spirit from the dead communicates anything else. Rune
  11. Every man in a squad or crew. Rune
  12. Boo, Boo, Boo Once again you are so off the mark, that you make Emrys look intelligent in comparison. Here is one of the antagonists: One of the bad guys JonS, let me know if you find anything on the attack at the airfield. Rune
  13. Hey Jons, Do you have anything opn the fighting at Rimini Airfield in Sept 1944? Going to have the Greek [French? for the scenario], supported by C Squadron 18 Armoured Regiment minus 12 Troop and the 6 Platoon from 22 NZ Battalion. Appreciate anything you may have. Rune
  14. Look at the 4th picture down at this web site. I can't put my finger on it, but something doesn't quite look right with the 25 pdr. Also the 88mm in the first photo looks sweet. 25 pdr Rune PS Found this while researching for a new scenario
  15. Not going to say I told you so.... Rune
  16. You have no idea what I have planned. Rune
  17. Unlike the lot of you, my son was reading a book on alternate history by Harry Turtledove. I saw the author's picture at the back of the book, and was totally amazed by the likeness to Berli. Having read some of his books, I do believe it could be Berli trying to cause pain to a greater number of people then the Mutha Beautiful Thread. Harry Turtledove Berli Need I say more? Rune
  18. Looking at that picture from Sir Sir 37mm, i see he is laying down on the job with his head on the railroad tracks waiting for a passing train. Good job lad, keep it up, and don't let the train's air horn scare you. Rune
  19. John, It may have been s.Pz.Abt. 501's Surprise. Let me know how it goes. Rune
  20. Jonh, Been busy with things, but I'll send you the file later today. Rune
  21. *Yawn* Here we go again... OK, here is your official word. Work continues on CMSF. We are now working on [the magical scroll of NDA removes this passage]. Also, Kwazydog has outdone himself once again. When the time comes, I will be having my usual sneak peak, this time for CMSF. I already have done massive research on Syrian armed forces and the terrain. [Hint: look at google earth, they have done an upgrade]. Last, have already planned out some scenarios and working on the campaign. Consider this the official word. Rune
  22. Kingy, 3/24th was part of 1/11th Anti-tank Regiment assigned to the Division in Feb 1943, and stayed with the unit till the end of the war. An exact date was not given, but it was immediately after the counter attack by the Herman Goring Fallschirmjager Panzer Division at Chiusi. Since that battle took place 21-22 June, the OOB I gave you is accurate. Rune
  23. Kingy, According to the August 1944 OOB, the Light Horse/Kimberly Regiment was a motor battalion assigned to the 11th South African Armoured Brigade Group. Also with the unit was the Special Service Battalion (armoured regiment), the 4/22 Field Artillery Regiment (105mm SP guns), mortar platoon Royal Durban Light Infantry (4.2"), 3rd/24th Anti-tank Battery (M10 SP guns). Division Assets include 5/5" howizters, and towed 17 pdrs. Importantly, at this point the Light Horse/Kimberly Regiment was actually down to a total of six rifle platoons. They then gained four more rifle platoons manned by crews of the Light Anti-aircraft Batterys. [They were assigned as a platoon, one per company) "Even so, it remained well under strenght". Late Auguest 1944, due to the manpower shortage, the Indian 4th/13th Frontier Force Rifles were assigned to the division. Also note, a battery of SP 105mm was 7 guns and not 8, due to the problems they were having with maintenence. Rune
  24. Kingy. Apologies, but the Vista computer crashed during some testing, and I had to get it going again. Will try to look up the stuff tonight. Rune
  25. Kingy, Will research when I get home from work tonight. Rune
