  1. No Joebob, once again you prove alzheimers patients should be shot on sight if they belong to the justicariat. A SSN is anyone who comes is, I took him under my wing as a Serf a while ago. Since Hiram cannot be trusted and threw in the towel faster then Stuka at an AA meeting. he is promoted in House Rune to Squire. Yes, yes, I would love to throw the lad into a hole and cover him with a bulldozer, but promises were made and a Kanniggitt must keep his word, after all, if we don't, how are we better then the goober-nationals? Yes, yes, IQ, Looks, an willingness to die for the pope..I mean besides that. Buzzsaw, as a squire in House Rune, let ngcavscout lead you in the way of actually winning more then 1 qb. Ngcavscout, remember, Spare the .45, and spoil the Squire. Rune
  2. Hiram you skirt wearing OGSF want-a-be, don't you DARE fold to Buzzsaw. You will force me to make him a squire, with all rights and priviledges, as he now has a win. Dang it, looks like I don't have a choice. Let it be known that Buzzsaw is hereby promoted to Squire in House Rune. ngcavscout to be his mental errr... mentor to kanniggitthood. Buzzsaw is now officially no longer a SSN, but please, don't let me stop you from treating him as such. Rune
  3. Mirkus, German squad, 4 men firing, american squad 12 men firing MAY have something to do with it. Rune
  4. Hiram, You know what they say, spare the *Boot* and spoil the kanniggitt. besides, ngcavscout is a cheesehead and deserves no less. Rune
  5. Are the FIBs starting to shoot back? Or maybe your governor decided not to pay anything? You were told you cannot wear ladies dresses and claim you are undercover? You have to watch the latest CSI to learn what to do with the police tape? You finally cracked open the whiskey I gave you and had to share? The only police car was hit by a deer again? AND *boot* don't *boot* be *boot* afraid *boot* to *boot* use *boot* the *boot* boot *boot* on *boot* young *boot* buzzsaw *boot* Rune
  6. Joebob Shaw, need i remind you, the justacarrot for life oh the knights you have taken under your wing? [shudder]It's the who's who list of abby normal behavior to say the least. And the least we say about your house, the better. I mean look at BooBoo your barney fife want a bee. He espired to greatness, and isn't even a Seniour Knight. Hell, he is so pathetic, he passed on a Free copy of CMBN. Go ahead, defend THAT behavior. Now for some house keeping measures... Marlow you *boot* lackluster example of a cow carcass left in the sun 3 days too long *Boot*. I don't need to dodge you, as I am currently enjoying IL2 COD which I got yesterday, post release problems mainly solved. *Boot* Unlike other former members of the Cess Patrol, I was actually capable of taking off and landing [glares at Joebob]. However *boot* there be other*Boot* things in the works of which I cannot speak. *Boot* translated, you are NOT worthy *Boot* Buzzsaw, when you actually manage to win a game *Boot* I will put you up for squire. Let this be a lesson to the other Houses that *Boot* sucking up to the Senior Kanniggit CAN pay off *Boot*. Making him wait for a win *Boot* means I don't have any worries for years. NGCAVSCOUT, maybe you can give the lad a hand *Boot* as you are allowed to legally carry a firearm, may I suggest some higher caliber ammunition to his backside if he fails to follow your orders? *Boot*. Ahhh Emrys, said with the same respect I have for Venezuela's President Hugo Chávez. Why do you still exist here? Yes, Yes, you have been here since dirt was invented, but where are the taunts, the thrill of victory in a game, or heck, how about just the game? Yes, Yes, I know youe abacus is getting up in age, but perhaps you can get a computer from this century to try to play? As for the rest of you, go away before I cast another Rune scenario upon your heads. Rune [Notice the mix of case you grammar teahcer want-a-bes]
  7. A whole lot of misc. notes, a lot which I am hijacking the thread, but found some cool information US Tank losses at normandy M4 75mm & 76mm/M4 105mm/M5 June 167/4/52 July 121/3/26 August 557/2/201 Source: RG492 (may be RG331 now), Records of the ETOUSA (SHAEF) Armored Fighting Vehicle and Weapons Section (AFV&W Section), Decimal Files Boxes 1-12 (290/56/30) Marshal, their resume include a LTC I personally met at Fort Knox [and to whom I still owe thanks for letting me and a group of us see some hidden gems], a LT, and a couple Sgts. I won't name them, but will post in the beta if they want to come forward. One thing you didn't consider in your time and story lemuel is the recovery vehicle's time to get onsite from the depot. I don't know of any world war II units that had the recovery vehicles advance with the main attack. So your 3-4 hours [which is NOT a typical scenario] doesn't include time to notify the deport, travel time to get to the site, survey it, and recover the tank. Trying to see if I had anything on repair times for a Sherman, will post if I find anything. Apologies for hi-jacking the thread. Rune
  8. Boo you evil henchmen in a summer dress. How many times are we going to go over this...you have the memory of Joebob shaw. I am not a another recognized, I had a house from way back. I played and defeated your betters [yeah that isn't saying much, kinda like saying I defeated Lawyer] and even fought Steve in one of his own scenarios. However, since you brought it up.. Joebob, i bring to your attention that your evil barney Fife should not be a senior Kannigget, nor even your faithful sidekick with a bullet [unless he decides to use it upon himself, but he would likly miss] until he has CMBN. As we all know, it is all about the challenge, of which he cannot partake. What is Boo going to do, challenge someone to match his shoes with his dress? For shame, for shame. I make this offer, Boo you ignorant lout, toss me your addy and pc or mac version and hanceforth, a copy shall be upon its gloriest way to thou. I claim the right of Chicago, which is, as we all know, "bribe early, bribe often". So let it be written, or let it be done. Rune
  9. While I don't play h2h too much anymore, an excellent job GaJ! Rune
  10. Going to respectfully disagree with Lemuel here, having several tankers in the beta group, trying to change a thrown track while under fire would indeed take more time then the average scenario here. under fire being the key phrase here. Also in thick mud, it could take hours, having read several accounts of tigers and king tigers stuck so deep it took 3-4 to pull one out. Rune
  11. A tank generally if loaded will fire to clear the tube unless of unload and reload, which I think was SOP back then. It may have been a case of that, but testing it would be good to be sure. Rune
  12. Hiram and whoever else Due to a hard drive crash, I lost a lot of scenarios. please send me the ones I sent you, Barkmann's Stand and the paratroop one, neuville au Plain. thanks, Rune
  13. Marlow Marlow Marlow, you festering wound... Buzzy is mine to taunt however I may want. That is the reason he is of House Rune, he is mine to depose of as I see fit. As for games going on, currently I have two going, but with the other beta testers. I am several builds ahead of you lot, a point to be remembered. 1.00 is SO yesterday. Want to see a screen of a churchill tank? Too bad... *Boot* Hey Joebob, can we make marlow "the official chew toy of the peng challenge thread" ? Seems fitting that he *Boot* be chewed up and spat out as much as his troopers are under his command. Dangit Elvis, and your mad Achilles rush..... oh yeah, shhhhhhh those here are not worthy... Rune
  14. Joebob That's nice and classic Joebob, complains that I won't come see him, then gives me all of an hours notice. Your loss... let me know when you are in next, and that they won't allow someone your age to drive, and I'll make arrangements. There will be good food, beer, and more beer arranged, and MAYBE I will let you have some of the above. Rune
  15. Marlow *Boot* you poor excuse for a serf/squire/knight. No one *Boot* boots *Boot* my knights other then me, unless *Boot* they deserve it. Buzzsaw *Boot* may be in the grasp ofyour *Boot* superior play, but that does not *Boot* give you the right to boot *Boot* him. That being said *Boot* you now have permission especially if he is not sending *Boot* turns. Carry on, Carry on... Rune
  16. The Caen Mutiny? It was the strawberries.... Rune
  17. But I like Patch, which is why she was invited. I wanted to avoid Joe so much I went to Los Angeles. Now that I am back, I guess there is no way to avoid this... Joe are you still in Chicago? Rune
  18. First a sacrificial virgin is offered to the great coding god. We are thinking of using Emrys for it. Then when the moon hits the seventh house, and jupiter aligns with mars... a post is sent to everyone to let them know a patch has been released. Only then, we cry havoc and let loose the dogs of Peng. Rune
  19. Charlie, I find it easier that he got confused by the date in the middle of fighting then 15 m3s being destroyed and no one reporting it. The only action supposedly was with some m7s atatched to the recon unit that did some direct firing. I would hope the entire episode was not made up, but it is the reason I made for another possibility. If no one has figured it out in 60 years, I doubt we are going to figure it out now. Rune
  20. Just the one I posted. The recon did not show losses, nor did CCA. Rune
  21. There was an attack at a defensive line at another point where there were losses, it is speculated that he was part of a defensive line, but was the only tank there. I created a scenario based on this hasty defensive line battle. Here is a partial story: According to the 3rd Armored Division history, Spearhead, on 28 July CCB was ordered to return to the area near Comprond to assist a regiment of the 1st Infantry Division in reducing a German strongpoint. In his book Breakout and Pursuit, Blumenson mentions that 15 American tanks were lost in this engagement which held up the advance of the 16th Infantry regiment. Seven of the tanks were mediums. The advance was held up for hours by the German defense, and according to Spearhead, CCB did not make contact with the 16th Infantry until around mid-night. Comprond is just west-southwest of Le Lorey. The date is wrong, but given the fog of war, maybe this is the actual site of Barkmann's amazing tale. So I made a scenario on that possibility. Rune
  22. Laugh, they actually did not have kindergarten in the area when I was growing up, yes, not as old as Emrys [dirt isn't], but close. Rune
  23. Thanks all, but not for the puns, it was enough punishment. Obviously for a board wargame, zulu wars and that is all I am allowed to say about it. Wanted to have some custom dice, but need the silhouette, which is not going well, photos I have tons of. Rune
  24. Anyone have a one color silhouette or link to that for an 1879 British Pith Helmet? Tryuing to get some custom dice made for another project and have not had luck finding anything like this. Type like the 24th Foot wore during the Zulu war. Thanks, Rune
