Yes, there will even be 2 QB Maps originally made by LJFHutch!

GAJ: 1st time user of H2HH V4.0 + Dropbox. I went to your warehouse link but did not see V 4.06. I looked in drop box and opened H2HH as well but saw no V4.06...so what am I doing wrong?

Fatally Flawed... now who was it that coined the phrase?
-
Wild Bill Wilder told me about it...he was doing scen for CMBO and told me to check out the forum. That's where I met all you lunatics hungrily awaiting the games Beta Demo release
-
I loved it...Merry Christmas!

If my understanding of the CMx2 engine is correct: Units can not target their own kind. Once a round has been fired ballistics takes over.

Really nice training tool

Hi LJFHutch. I've sent you a private message. Please look at your top right and click on private message. Thanks

Thanks. I have carefully checked the map for both attkr and defender. Each side has two groups. Attkr groups 1 & 2 is correctly made for all three plans. All time delays are standard for the game (that is to say I didn't screw up and set a plan to start after one hour or something) Also Plans Not Used are properly blocked. So clean map. Most likely your AI Attkr had a global morale problem...but just a guess on my part. Fixing a broken map is always easier than figuring out why a unit decides not to follow the script

AI Pathing plans make units move, not Objectives. I would love to know the name of the map.

Smell as bad as you want... you're home now.

This award reflects not only on BFC but each forum member who has contributed their thoughts and wishes. The great leap from 2D hexagon PC Wargaming that was CMBO to the much refined and detailed CMBN has always been a team effort. Cheers all round!

I want triggers that obey FoW!!
As in: Nothing gets triggered when there is nobody to report an event or communications are broken.
Say no to Borg Triggers !
Best regards,
Thomm
YES!!!! or to be precise: I say NO to Borg Triggers

if you open the map in editor can you change the setup area?
That is not problem. All QB Maps adjust sides per the Players battle setup orders. Either side can attack or defend and the setup zones will change color to reflect that. In this PBEM game that did not occur. If it were a simple Map error I'd just say "opps, sorry" and fix it. If it were a general bug BFC would do the same (and did). But the problem is neither the map or bug. It is occasional and appears specific to a very few PC's configs. Also there are several reports having the "Flip side" problem in one setup but not when creating a new setup with the same map/units.
-
...and here's the map.
Notice that my defence sets up at map edge.
using 1.0.1B patch.
QB-50 Map is designed as an Axis attk Map. The Red attacker is on the West. All Map setup data conforms to this. So the map is correct and plays properly. That it does not for you and your PBEM Partner is most likely due to one or the others rig. At this time I suspect a small number of PC player are having trouble due to their PC configuration. If the game was started by the PC player then that's where you want to look. BFC is aware of this "side flipping" problem but testers have NOT been able to reproduce it as a bug. There obviously is something going on but it happens only to some machines, sometimes.

The map is properly made so you can rule that out. If you are not using the latest Mac patch then you should review the sticky and follow the directions. I did a considerable amount of testing on this and you can find my comments by searching by my name.

What a beautifully crafted and interesting story. Thanks!

That - unfortunatly - doesn't help if the opponent goes AWOL. The least thing a good opponent could do is to send a 'surrendering' file.
It would be an open door for cheaters. There is no work-around. Just let it go.

Just a quickie
Say I wanted to play someone by email how do i go about it? God forbid i do - I am probably the worst general in history....
Regards
Skimbo
You send me an email mark.ezra3591ATgmailDOTcom One bad general deserves another
Oh...CMBN like all CM products are built for wargamers...we are an odd, demanding lot who have a special itch that only BFC seems able to scratch.

The very first step in checking out a PBEM corrupted file problem is to look at the email the player uses. I had all the problems described above with various emails (including gmail--my current address). When I switched to "SendthisThisFile", an FTP free fileshare program I never sent another corrupted file. I did get a number of them from players who did not use some kind of dedicated file shareprogram. Email attachments just aren't reliable...no matter what size they purport to handle.
