xian
Does Rattled equate with Broken in the manual?
gunnergoz
Perhaps "rattled" = "shaken?" IIRC I've seen such troops recover, whereas broken ones do not.
xian
... I've seen troops Shaken too - so it can't be that. Perhaps an explanation of 'Rattled' from BF would be helpful as the manual doesn't cover it.
Michael Emrys
I think 'Rattled' is meant to be more intense and prolonged than 'Shaken', but that's just a guess. Yes, it would be nice to have a list of all those terms ranked in order of their effects. Michael
xian
Do Rattled troops ever recover from being Rattled?
Dadekster88
Id' say rattled is one step down from shaken. Rattled seems that they were caught by surprise but didn't suffer any serious consequences while shaken would be rattled but something bad did happen. That's my look on it but I'd love a true explanation by BF if possible.
gunnergoz
Sorry I was unclear. What I intended was to say that rattled is closer in meaning to shaken than it is to broken. And yes, it should be in the manual but clearly is not, I searched for it too. The word is illustrated only, in the interface section, but not explained.
gunnersman
Shaken. But not stirred.
Speedy
Rattled includes the stirring perhaps.
womble
"Cautious" and "Nervous" are not mentioned either. From experience, these two and "Rattled" are stages before "Shaken". OK Cautious Nervous Rattled <====down to and including here you can issue commands to them Shaken <====here and below, they will generally be unresponsive to your commands Panic Broken Surrender Rout With Pinned as a rider that may apply to all the above (though I've not seen a unit get pinned and remain OK). Yes, units can recover from being Rattled, or even Shaken or Paniced. Don't think I've seen a unit recover from Broken though.
