thejetset
Would it be very difficult to have the WEGO be selected to be 30 second or 60 second intervals prior to starting the battle?? After playing in real-time, 1 minute seems like A LONG time between orders!!!! If it's not too difficult to program, it would be a great option to have.
guachi
I think if you want more control than 1 minute turns allow (and the lack of control was a huge selling point for me. Watching turns over and over again was awesome), you might as well play real-time. One-minute, for me, is short enough. Especially considering that less happens in one turn than in CMx1. It was maddening and tense in CMx1 when the action was thick and there was no way to stop the chaos.
Peregrine
Real-time isn't necessarily the answer for the poster. Real-time = no movie = missing stuff. I play real-time when playing single player and while I don't mind missing bits of action the most annoying thing is when new stuff pops up and disappears. Was that a tank, a jeep. infantry, AT gun, a space lobster, hellboy? You have zero idea because all you are left with is a question mark. 30 seconds would give the control freaks a video plus the ability to lessen the impact of the TAC AI on the overall gameplay.
gunnergoz
A choice would be nice but I like the one-minute turns...30 seconds might be OK, I'd have to try them but, offhand, I suspect I'd feel like the game was taking too long to progress.
dpabrams
I have not played WEGO in years. Last was with CMBO. Ever snice CM:SF I have done real time. Truth is busting bocage requires so many units to control, in a ballet of recon, charges, bounding fire that I could not handle real time. I have gone back to WEGO and I dig it! watching the turns is such a break from the constant pause, issue orders and repaeat. Pete
Panzerfest
I'm hoping that real time with a 30 second replay makes it in sometime!
