weapon2010
If your coming from playing CMBO straight into CMBN without any CMSF in between you will probably be overwhelmed at how different it is and possibly frustrated at first.Be patient and learn the controls, especially the camera controls, once you get used to it , you will find it to be very powerful and way better than CMBO/BB.I didnt like the CMSF change in UI at first, now I think it is great.Give it some time.
Mord
Agreed. I actually love the controls...going back to CMX1 after CMSF used to drive me crazy. I think the camera is much better now than back then. Once you get used to it you'll really end up digging it. I think the mouse scroll is one of my favorite additions, makes changing heights super quick. Spot on , i really struggled with CMSF at first due to new style of game play , new UI , took me ages to appreciate the software. If anyone is struggling stick with it and you will be rewarded by the experience honest.
Agua
Yeah, I picked up SF a couple weeks back to familiarize myself with CMBN. Anticipating controls similar to CMx1, I was frustrated until I sat down with the manual and read the control & unit info portions then toyed around with those in game. It became much, much more enjoyable. There's still a LOT more info provided than I'm able to presently digest, but that's rich nature of CM which gives it staying power as you learn it.
