Sdkfz 251/7 Bridiging equipment?

Hey all,

excuse me if it came up before but I was wondering and search came up empty....

I noticed in the TO&E that the Sdkfz 251/7 is included.

That made me wonder some things.

1- will it be modeled in game with its trade mark bridging equipment?

2- if so will the bridging equipment actually be an usable asset in the game (to make vehicles cross small streams for example?) or will it just show as flavor?

Anyone know?

Because if you could actually use the bridging equipment that would be :eek::cool:

Nope, no bridging. In fact I'm fairly certain that the in-game model will not have the bridging equipment shown here. I'm not sure if the model in game will be listed as a 'SdKfz 251/7' or just as a 'SdKfz 251/1' (which is the model most likely to be used in game for the Assault Pioneers).

It would be cool but I'm not sure these kind of vehicles were used in the environments CM simulates (small/med tactical situations).

Thanks for the prompt reply, and I tend to agree with you. You might as well use 251/1's then if you are not going to model the 8-ton assault bridges as that seems to be the major difference in the models. (but I am not an expert)

The 251/7 has some slight differences from a stock 251/1 so we modeled those changes. IIRC slightly reduced passenger capacity.
