George MC
Just noticed the repository is back in operation. Time to get cracking with all these reviews of scenarios you've all got stacking up
Moon
Yes, it's back up and there are some changes in the backend you don't immediately see (yet). Two changes are visible already: - the displays for "Best rated files", "Newest Uploads", "Most downloads this month", and "Most downloads ever" now change with the category you're in. So if you look at the main Repository page, you get to see entries from all categories. If you click on "Combat Mission Shock Force", you then only see CMSF files, if you click on "Marines", you only see "Marines listings" etc. So this makes those short lists more useful. - "Top Rated Uploaders" on the left side is now listing uploaders differently then before. Now it's looking at the number of reviews first, then at the ratings average (instead of vice versa). So now, if someone has received 50 ratings for his files and has an average of 4.5, he will be shown "above" someone who has a 5.0 average, but only 5 or 10 ratings. Previously, it would show all uploaders rated 5.0 even if they only received one review before showing the next lower ratings; this resulted in a boring list of all 5.0-ers. The list is now more useful to visitors, and inherently more fair, because people who upload a lot have a higher chance of receiving a rating lower than 5. Some other features and changes will be coming over time as well.

snake_eye
Yeah, I find the new way better, than the former and that comes to a point I had underligned earlier. It was pretty upsetting to have someone with one scenario (not necessarily bad) on top of the list and being scored down only because you had more than one. The scoring being shown for a category, will also able people to have a rather good idea of what is worth downloading from what might not be. Too bad we had to go throught the disruption of the Repository for few weeks to get the goods things from now on. Thumb up for doing so..... Cheers
rich12545
Hello, I tried logging in to the repository with my original password and it didn't work. What do I need to do?
Moon
www.battlefront.com/lostpw to retrieve a new password and your username (called "user account" in the same email). The Repository (as the entire main site and store) does not share the forum account. You need your main site account to log in.
