AT platoon (Mulazim Abou Witha) will split themselves and 1st Sect/B Team ATGM('Arif Al Hardy) and 2nd Sect/A Team Recoilless(Raqib Abu Zahn) will fight with A Company(Naqib Al Malik), and 2nd Sect/B Team Recoilless('Arif Abu Zahn) will fight with B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) in the trench's on the East flank. 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) will be singled out and positioned on a hill near the main road in the North. This will now give the 2 Companies some heavy AT assets to fight the enemy with.

Acoy 581st ArmBtn/58 AmrBDE(Naqib Al Thynniyan)will position themselves on the flanks. The Syrian tanks will mobilize using the dried riverbed for concealment to move to the Eastern flank and then take up firing positions in and around the Caponiers that were created for the defense when the enemy gets closer, and support 4th Platoon (Mulazim Abul Rahul) from B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) who will be defending in the trench's on the East flank. The tanks on the Western flank will remain in their static positions in and around the Caponiers to catch any targets that wander in their field of fire.

CMShockForce2010-04-1720-33-42-25.jpg

FO (Mulazim Awwal Abu Mubarak) will hold on the West flank in a trench that gives cover on both sides of the hill they occupy and will attempt to call in mortar strikes from there as well as identify the enemies movements.

A Company(Naqib Al Malik)has been given the order to set up positions and defend the Bus Terminal and the Barracks, and to also set up positions and defend in a civilian neighborhood just North of the Gas Station, South of the Barracks.

CMShockForce2010-04-1720-36-31-03.jpg

B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) has been given the order and task to Defend the Mosque area at all costs. 4th Platoon (Mulazim Abul Rahul) however will take up positions in the Trench's on the East Flank.

I'm one of the few that's really looking forward to this red campaign. It's good to see somebody is helping them out with testing. I said I would report back to them when I played the scenario. But I just don't have the time for CMSF right now.

Looking forward to the finished campaign. :)

Syrian Ranks in mission

Muqaddam = Lieutenant Colonel

Naqib = Captain

Mulazim Awwal = 1st Lieutenant

Mulazim = 2nd Lieutenant

Raqib = Sergeant

'Arif = Corporal

......... final Syrian orders crackle across the radio from high command......Hold at all cost, engage at long and short ranges, but never medium....

Enemy Air and enemy Artillery started to strike all around the Syrian forces, denying any Syrian troop movement for the moment in the opening phases of the battle about to take place.Powerful explosions could be seen and heard all over the area and the intensity of the battle to come is starting to sink into the minds of the Syrian troops. For now the Syrian forces are able to endure and stay safe from the heavy barrages and bombings from inside their bunkers, bomb shelters and buildings, and due to the chaotic situation outside of cover, A Company(Naqib Al Malik) were pinned down and unable to move out of the Command post to their assigned positions, until things settled down in their sector.

CMShockForce2010-04-1815-42-09-47.jpg

B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) were already in or near their positions and they were able to endure the opening enemy barrages while in position. B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) remained intact and hidden waiting to ambush any enemy that approaches and comes near the Mosque area.

There was concern that Acoy 581st ArmBtn/58 AmrBDE(Naqib Al Thynniyan) would lose some tanks from the enemy air strikes, but the fortifications built around the Syrian tanks proved to hold and protect the Syrian tanks well from any attempted strike in their area.1st Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Mubarak) and 3rd Tank Platoon(Mulazim Bahamdan) were able to successfully mobilize in the dry river bed undetected by the enemy and now continue to hold their positions on the East flank concealed from enemy eyes as planned.

Enemy troop movement can be seen in the far South area, but the Syrian forces hold fire while the enemy artillery strikes continue for a while. When enemy air and artillery seemed to have stopped for the time being, A Company(Naqib Al Malik) moved to take advantage of this window of opportunity,to break out from the Command Post and move into the positions they were tasked to hold.1st Platoon (Mulazim Ba'Albaki) and 2nd Platoon(Mulazim Abou Sariyah) are now moving to defend the Bus Terminal, and 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri)will have to attempt to get across the highway to get to the civilian neighborhood.3rd Platoon(Mulazim Al Molawed)still occupies the Barracks and remains hidden.

As the enemy support fires ceased for the moment, heavy enemy tanks could be seen forming an armored column on the highway.1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) lined up a shot and fired a missile at one of the tanks, and managed to guide the missile to hit the enemy tank in the front left(tanks left) track.Smoke was deployed by the enemy tank and the damaged caused by the ATGM missile was unknown.1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) hide quickly to avoid detection for a few moments, then popped back up to try and attempt a second hit, but this time on the lead tank. The missile flew around 250 meters and then crashed into the ground and 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) was forced to quickly hide to avoid detection.

CMShockForce2010-04-1816-02-00-01.jpg

Things quieted down and an eerie silence took over the battle field.1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) took this time to break the silence by lining up another shot on the lead enemy tank of the armored column 1250 meters out, that has yet to move.As the ATGM missile went air born, an enemy tank seen 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) fire the missile and sent 2 heavy cannon rounds back to their position along with heavy MG fire. The MG fire was inaccurate, but the enemy tank cannon fire was more direct, just not accurate enough to cause damage, because the trench provided just enough cover behind the hills edge for the ATGM team to escape injury or death, and the tank rounds slammed into the hillside around 20 meters away in front of 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) who were able to still simultaneously as the ground exploded in front of them, guide the missile accurately into the front end of the lead enemy tank, and now 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) remain hidden in the safety of the trench,as they know their position has been discovered.

CMShockForce2010-04-1816-59-59-96.jpg

4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) from A Company(Naqib Al Malik) was unable to cross over the highway at first to get to the ditch on the other side, because the enemy tanks had the highway covered and could shoot anything that showed itself with its cannons and MG's.As a result of the ATGM strike on the 2 first lead enemy tanks of the armored column, the enemy tanks deployed smoke masking themselves in an attempt to block ATGM fire and as a result they also blocked any view they had down the highway.Hoping that the ATGM strikes caused damage to the enemy tanks sensors and systems, 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) took this only opportunity to run as fast as they could across the highway to the other side and take cover in a ditch, and then proceed to their assign positions. As they crossed, it appeared as though the enemy tanks did receive damage to their sensors and have blinded themselves with their own smoke when they deployed it giving 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) perfect concealment to move across the open, but as they got close to the other side of the highway, the enemy tanks became aware of their plan and started to fire their cannons.Heavy rounds would violently impact all around 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) as they reached the other side of the highway and 2 Syrian soldiers, one dead and one severely wounded lay on the side of the highway. The rest of 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) made it into the ditch and hid for cover, but they were very tired, rattled, shaken and panicking as they reached the safety of the ditch and rightfully so after that intense sprint. After rallying together and after they got their wits back from the pure hard chaos that opened up around them,4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) realized that there was nothing they could do for their fallen comrades on the side of the highway and now had to find a way to move on and leave the one severely wounded man to his fate.

CMShockForce2010-04-1818-50-00-46.jpg

1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) attempted to take advantage of the enemy tanks distraction with 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) highway crossing attempt. As the smoke lifted they lined up for another attempt at hitting the lead enemy tank again, but the missile failed them again when it reached around 200 meters and crashed into the ground, and 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) were forced to hide again to avoid any enemy attempt on them.

313d InfBtn/31st ReserveInf BDE(Muqaddam Al Mubi) from his command post was able to see far off into where the enemy were coming from on foot, and ordered for two mortar strikes to take place S W of the Mosque, in hopes of catching or stalling the enemy as they close in towards the Mosque area.

FO (Mulazim Awwal Abu Mubarak) is ordered to guide in mortar smoke rounds around the highway in front of the armored column. Its believed and proved that the enemy can see through the smoke, but it is hoped that the smoke can cut off any other fields of view and maybe split the enemy in 2 so their rear does not see their front when the front is engaged as the enemy moves forward into ambush's.This plan later would not work as well as it was thought, but the smoke did wander into some enemy on foot, blocking their views.

With one missile left and knowing that 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) position had been compromised, they were ordered to pack up and relocate themselves to a trench just West of their position in hopes of surprising the enemy and to get their last missile shot off at an enemy tank when and if it approaches. Not shortly after, the caution and taking the time to pack up and relocate pays off, because the enemy had their previous location zeroed in with artillery and the trench 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) once occupied and fired from is now getting relentlessly and mercilessly pounded by enemy air-burst artillery.Near the end of the enemy artillery strike, it appears that 2 Syrian soldiers from 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni) were killed anyway by shrapnel. They had their heads down in the trench's, but it seems that the powerful enemy artillery strike has still proved to be fatal against 1st sect/A Team ATGM(Raqib Al Shahrahni). It's unclear at this time if the one remaining ATGM member can fire off the remaining ATGM missile. The ATGM itself appears not to be damaged and in working order.

4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri) from A Company(Naqib Al Malik) was able to successfully move to their assigned area in the civilian neighborhood.Their timing could not have been better because enemy artillery began to rain in on their previous location in the ditch beside the highway.Everyone managed to get to safety, but were very tired.

All Syrian forces have now reached their defensive positions and make further preparations on their ambush's for the enemies push forward.

CMShockForce2010-04-1917-09-40-54.jpg

It seems now the long distance fighting will be coming to an end and the enemy start to close the distance between the two forces. Now the hard fighting will begin and the Syrians keep a close eye on their foes movements.

........the enemy is starting to advance.....be prepared.....

1st Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Mubarak) located on the East flank was able to take advantage of a light armored enemy vehicle that strayed to far to their own flank.A Syrian tank was able to shift further East and used the side of a Caponier to cut off the field of fire from the enemy tanks. As a result of this the Syrian tank was able to engage and destroy the light armored enemy vehicle and its crew without any threat from the enemy tanks.Another Syrian light armored vehicle emerged and started to engage the Syrian tank while deploying smoke, forcing the Syrian tank to pull back.

CMShockForce2010-04-1820-27-23-50.jpg

As the enemy tanks move down the Highway,2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham) from B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) who was located and hidden in the wooded area just beside the highway, began to ambush them. The lead enemy tank took an RPG in the rear as it passed by 2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham)and the crew of the enemy tank bailed. The second enemy tank halted and also received an RPG hit on its side armor. The crew did not bail and the enemy tank kept pushing forward and now started to fire back with its machine gun.The woods and low wall 2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham) were in and behind proved to be very good cover and no Syrian was shot in the close firefight with the enemy lead tanks during the initial ambush. At this time armor continues to roll along the highway and 2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham) continues to ambush them, but eventually the enemy are able to do some damage and some Syrian soldiers are fatally shot.Enemy infantry can also be seen closing in on their location and the Syrian soldiers turn to a state of panic, but continue to fight hard and be a thorn in the enemies side.

CMShockForce2010-04-1820-53-51-04.jpg

Things from this point get very chaotic as the fighting now opens up on a new level. One of the Syrian mortar strikes that was called in as an emergency S W of the Mosque now starts to fire. The mortar strike is very ill placed and is landing all over B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) positions by the Mosque, but nobody was injured.

CMShockForce2010-04-1821-19-01-48.jpg

2nd Sect/B Team Recoilless('Arif Abu Zahn) was moved to set up the Recoilless rifle at the Bus Terminal behind a low wall while the enemy tanks were being ambushed but failed to set up in time in order to hit the enemy tanks as they came into their view.Eventually all of 2nd Sect/B Team Recoilless('Arif Abu Zahn) was wiped out from enemy fire and every man was killed.

Enemy tanks now move into the Bus Terminal and some sections in A Company(Naqib Al Malik) cannot remain hidden from the enemy tanks and are discovered by the enemy, and A Company(Naqib Al Malik) start to take heavy loses as they scramble to try and hit the tanks with RPG's.

2nd Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Sadegh) mobilized one tank to take up positions on a hill that covers the West flank.Light enemy vehicles could be seen moving up the West flank in the open, and as they approached, the heavy Syrian MGs in the civilian neighborhood and Storage area opened up fire on the light enemy vehicles as they got near.A Syrian tank managed to destroy one while 2 more light enemy vehicles were peppered with heavy MG fire simultaneously. The enemy light vehicles deployed smoke to pull themselves out of the ambush, but with a Syrian MG behind them at the Storage area, they still remained under heavy fire.2nd Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Sadegh) was also able to surprise some enemy armor by getting some shots off and striking the foe on from the side, but 2nd Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Sadegh) would lose 2 of their tanks from return fire and only one now remains static in its tank trench.

3rd Tank Platoon(Mulazim Bahamdan) now mobilizes their tanks on the Eastern flank to take up positions to try and engage the enemy tanks on their sides.Heavy tank fire exchanges and two Syrian tanks get completely destroyed and two enemy tanks are disabled. Some Syrian tanks miss their shots and the rounds fall in the civilian neighborhood nearly causing friendly fire casualties. The Syrians are now firing at the enemy tanks from 3 sides stopping the enemies armor advance, and the high level of chaos from all the heavy fire is putting everyone in danger as heavy explosive rounds impact everywhere without care. The remaining Syrian tank from 3rd Tank Platoon(Mulazim Bahamdan) would later be destroyed, but only after some more fighting that took place.Mulazim Bahamdan and his crew were the only survivors for the time being and they look for a place to hide.

Syrian heavy MG bunker fire is now starting to echo throughout the battlefield as they begin to find targets. The noise level is deafening as the hard close fighting erupts and the enemy foot troops are being halted in their paths near the Mosque.

The second mortar strike 313d InfBtn/31st ReserveInf BDE(Muqaddam Al Mubi) called in finally hit.It hit in the field S W of the Mosque near a pond where it seemed that most enemy foot troops were. That strike was well placed and continues to slow down the enemies progress. The enemy are having a hard time advancing, but many Syrian troops are falling in this mayhem. The enemy also retaliate with their own artillery but it falls harmlessly out in the open away fromt he fighting.

4th Platoon (Mulazim Abul Rahul) from B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) are now starting to emerge from their bomb shelters on the East flank in the trench's, and are now moving in place to scout the enemy. There are many light armored vehicles near them, so they must maintain fire discipline or get blown away.

2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham) from B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) who was positioned in the woods beside the highway continued to put up hard resistance against the enemy.2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham) ambushed the tank column and now are involved in extremely close fighting with the enemy troops. While the battle erupted all over the map 2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham) stood strong and fought bravely as well as skillfully, but in the close fighting with the enemy, they started to fall victim to enemy bullets and grenades.A heavy volley of enemy grenades landed perfectly behind the small wall 2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham) had used for cover and small explosion after small explosion wiped out 2nd Platoon (Mulazim Siham). Some were able to flee, but most lie dead or dying on the ground in their positions.

CMShockForce2010-04-1915-04-47-27.jpg

Acoy 581st ArmBtn/58 AmrBDE(Naqib Al Thynniyan) tank fought hard and hit the enemy many times but as two enemy tanks pushed forward, the enemy tanks simultaneously shot Acoy 581st ArmBtn/58 AmrBDE(Naqib Al Thynniyan) tank, and as a result the Syrian command tank was destroyed, there were no survivors. Also the one remaining tank from 2nd Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Sadegh) on the West flank was destroyed by an enemy tank. The only Syrian tanks that remain now is 1st Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Mubarak) on the East flank.

CMShockForce2010-04-1915-38-44-82.jpg

The fighting around the Mosque is now fierce as the Syrians try to repel the enemy and many Syrian troops are being shot and fleeing. One Syrian squad in a panic, ran away from the cover of the Mosque and into the open. They became pinned down and then decided to make their stand in the open and fight. After a heroic last stand in the open, they were all killed from enemy fire coming from multiple angles. The fighting at the Bus Terminal is grimmey and the enemy tanks are dealing hard blows that make some Syrian troops flee. Some remain and still try to fight off the enemy tanks and another enemy tank gets knocked out from the rear by a well placed RPG and the crew gunned down as they bail.

The fighting between the light enemy vehicles and the Syrian heavy MGs on the Western flank has now stopped and the Syrian MG's were wiped out and destroyed by return fire.Enemy armor moved to the light enemy vehicles to support them. Some Syrian troops in the civilian neighborhood were shot down also in the tense fighting, but dispite all these casualties, the Syrian still hold a strong presence in and around the objectives and after much intense fighting things started to quiet down, but not for long as enemy foot troops move even closer to Syrian defense positions.

......keep fighting......keep fighting......the enemy are stalling......

CMShockForce2010-04-1916-29-08-32.jpg

During all this 1st Tank Platoon(Mulazim Abu Mubarak) then mobilized and moved near the command post around its North East corner to guard and take any enemy vehicle by surprise that were to approach. They are the only remaining Syrian tanks and without them the fight could very much be lost. They setup in position near a small wall and caught some enemy troops moving near the command post. They were able to successfully repel and kill any approaching enemy, but in their haste to open fire with the cannon, one round missed its target and went straight into the Command Post and into the building 313d InfBtn/31st ReserveInf BDE(Muqaddam Al Mubi) occupied.Luckily, and luck is used due to a lack of a better word, it was nothing short of a virtual miracle, the Syrian command unit was able to survive the friendly fire impact unharmed, but their ears were left ringing and they were left rattled.A light armored enemy vehicle was then seen approaching the Command Post from the East flank, a Syrian tank was able to move into a position that blocked any other enemy fire to him, and engage the enemy vehicle successfully and completely destroyed it,crew and all. That immediately relieved pressure on the Mosque area.

CMShockForce2010-04-1916-08-58-08.jpg

As some of the enemy tanks were knocked out and no longer had any field of fire around the Mosque area, things quickly heated up again at the Mosque area and would now be the only sector that held fighting for the moment. Now a big fire fight and infantry battle took place and B Company (Naqib Al Temiyat) were fighting enemy on all sides trying to defend as best they could without worry of being hit by cannon fire from enemy tanks.4th Platoon (Mulazim Abul Rahul) also tried to join in on the fire fight by taking up positions in the trench's.From the trench's they would engage the light enemy vehicles and infantry on the East flank, and some Syrian troops would fall as casualties from return fire from the enemy.2nd Sect/B Team recoilless('Arif Abu Zahn) was able to fire off many Recoiless rockets at the light enemy vehicles while under fire from them, but eventually more Syrian troops would fall during the firefight and only one man remains operating the Recoiless rifle.

CMShockForce2010-04-1917-15-43-45.jpg

At this time 2nd Platoon(Mulazim Abou Sariyah) from A Company(Naqib Al Malik) at the Bus Terminal have been killed or wounded and the majority of the Platoon decided to flee.2nd Platoon(Mulazim Abou Sariyah) is now completely dismantled and wiped out. There is but one remaining enemy armor near the Bus Terminal and 1st Platoon (Mulazim Ba'Albaki)still remains defending the area. The enemy tank had their rear facing 1st Platoon (Mulazim Ba'Albaki) and it presented itself as a perfect opportunity to knock out the remaining enemy tank at the Bus Terminal. Some Syrian troops moved quietly into a good position and the RPG was fired and scored a direct hit on the rear of the enemy tank, but the rocket must have been a dud ,because no explosion was produced or heard, so the enemy tank received no damage and deployed smoke and still remains active as it pulls to the side of the highway. After some time, 4th Platoon(Mulazim Al Amri)were able to shoot some RPG missiles from the civilian neighborhood at the enemy tank striking it only once.It seems as tho the enemy tanks sensors are down and damaged because more RPG's would be fired at the wounded beast and it would not react to the threat. The Syrian troops in the civilian neighborhood fired all the RPG's they had, but missed the enemy tank, and the enemy tank remains static alone in the ditch on the side of the highway badly damaged.

There is now very little fighting taking place except for the odd shot here and there at the Mosque area as the action in that sector drastically quieted down. The enemies assault forward seemed to have come to a halt and it appears as though the Syrian defense plan has worked in denying the enemy any objectives. It was thought that the Syrians could not win this battle, but they must fight because they could lose. After a hard, very hard fight, the Syrian forces managed to turn the battle into a stalemate and as time ran out, the Syrian forces were given a Tactical Victory for their efforts.

CMShockForce2010-04-1918-03-00-48.jpg

Many Syrian troops fled the battle during the fighting leaving their brothers to carry on the fight, so the glory goes to those who remained and fought to their last breath and to those who still remain alive on the field of battle. They are the ones who lead the Syrian forces to victory and deserve much praise in their valor and fighting effort in the face of adversity. The fighting proved to be intensely hard to endure, but where there's a will there's a way, and will won the day even though the enemy were not completely destroyed. He who wills, wins, but the war is far from over and this is only the beginning.

Thanks for the comments:), that was a tough fight and I was lucky that the Syrian troops were able to knock out some enemy tanks in that mission.Trying to preserve Red forces like you would with the Blue force, is a damn hard thing to try and accomplish. We have an awesome buddy aid feature with CMSF, but it's hard to get the Red Forces wounded and dead out of the battlefield. This Red campaign is going to be a tuff nut with all kinds of challenges:).

Plan-

Syrian and Militia and Mudjaheddin forces will defend the outskirts of Al-Qaryatayn to deny the enemy access into the city.If need be, fighting in withdrawal will be done deeper into the city, and many more backyard ambush's will be set up for the foe as they attempt to push deeper into the Al-Qaryatayn.For the start of the battle, it is sought to catch and pin the enemy if possible between the various Syrian forces. The Militia will attempt to hit from the North as the enemy engage South into the city and hopefully have moved past the Militia units, but if enemy gets close to the Militias positions, they are to ambush the enemy. The objectives must be held at all cost's and this is expected to be a ferocious close quarter battle with no real front lines. All Syrian forces will remain hidden in ambush positions and will wait for the enemy to get closer.

Tanks and Technicals as well as Syrian Special forces will arrive later to join the battle. They will be ordered to take up positions depending on how the battle plays out.

CMShockForce2010-04-2215-31-12-79C.jpg

Plans can shift and vary and things might not go according to plan, but these are the initial thoughts in preparation for the enemy forces attack on Al-Qaryatayn.

Souldierz, I was very impressed how you've pulled a Tactical victory in that first mission. I've tried it numerous time and managed to knock out light vehicles (scimitars included) and some Challengers, but couldn't achieve victory no matter what!

Great AAR :)

Thanks Bolteg, keeping men hidden at the Objectives and taking out some enemy tanks was key in winning that mission tactically.I was very fortunate in some situations and at times it was looking bad, but lady luck liked me just enough to provide me with what i needed, and what I needed was a little luck to get through that one lol.

Syrian Mudjaheddin Forces

Jiahad i Islami Mudjaheddin (Ta'anari) have come to answer the call to battle and have come made up of Sniper,Heavy MG, RPG teams as well as an ATGM team. They're primary focus is to Hold and Defend the Mosque from the enemy. From the Mosque and especially the Mosque Minarets,Jiahad i Islami Mudjaheddin (Ta'anari) will attempt to hit the enemy with all the weapons they have in the Mosque, each team taking its turn to use the Minarets if necessary, to hit the enemy in the distance. If these chances arise, these attempts will be done very stealthy to make sure the enemy does not return heavy fire onto the Mosque and the Minarets. If need be, forces will move outside the Mosque, but the Mosque is to remain fortified and Guarded by Jiahad i Islami Mudjaheddin (Ta'anari) and to make sure no one gets into or near the Mosque. The ATGM team will be moved to take up positions with 3rd Platoon(Mulazim Doka) from A Company (Naqib Abou Hamed) at the North West Part of Al-Qaryatayn.The ATGM team will have a better chance to hit the enemy from there, because they cannot fire the ATGM from within the Mosque or it's Minarets.

CMShockForce2010-04-2416-07-56-59.jpg

Al-ilias Mudjaheddin (Mulazim Maro) have also answered the call to arms and have come to battle and will assist in keeping the Mosque area clear of enemy. They will position themselves a few blocks North West of the Mosque just past the Cotton Mill to ambush any enemy that comes close to the city Al-Qaryatayn in that area.

CMShockForce2010-04-2914-40-19-33.jpg

Al-Hassan Mudjaheddin (Mulazim Al Hakim) has also answered to call to the opportunity of battle, and has joined the battle on the East end of Al-Qaryatayn.They will assist A Company (Naqib Abou Hamed) around the Hospital area and put up a hard resistance in the East neighborhoods East of the Hospital and look to ambush any enemy that comes into the East end of Al-Qaryatayn.

The Syrian Spies will be scattered and will watch and report enemy movement from rooftops.

Mission- Radio Syria

11h30-

A Syrian soldier thinks about what's to come on this clear and hot day, and thinks about how the area holds a moderate civilian density and about the people trying to continue on with their daily lives while their country is at war within the homeland. The Syrian Forces will fight to the death to defend the land and civilians from the invading enemy, but for those who are in this area this day, they will be in great danger......Suddenly the radio breaks it's silence....."the Coalition Forces have just entered the area...." and suddenly, a large mass of heavy enemy forces can be seen with the naked eye emerging on the main road in the North East of the Battle Field.

The enemy springs into action like they just came out of a huddle, and start to push out powerfully and in force to the North East and East into the Downtown Farms area. The enemy push's out so strongly that most Syrian soldiers start to wonder if the original plan of defense will succeed at stopping such a force. The Syrian forces look out matched in every way and realize that this will indeed be an uncontrollable fight to the finish for the Syrian soldier. The amount of enemy vehicles is most concerning and it will take much bravery to fight and damage the foe.ATGM Militia team(Zebramani) makes an attempt to hit one of the many enemy vehicles seen cluttered in place and the thought was that they couldn't pass up or miss on this opportunity, and even if they missed their set target, they would probably end up hitting another anyways. The ATGM missile was fired, but failed and slammed into a house in front of them, and as small amounts of enemy fire were quickly directed at their position, ATGM Militia team(Zebramani) was forced to move down and take cover on the first floor of their building they occupied. After a few minutes, ATGM Militia team(Zebramani) would go back up to the roof to set up and scan for a soft enemy armor target that they figured they could destroy in one shot. This time, they successfully picked out a light armored enemy target and the ATGM missile was fired and managed to clear the neighboring houses and sore to its intended target. The ATGM missile flew through the air and detonated in the area where the enemy vehicles were at,but it became unclear if the ATGM missile struck its target or not, and as the ATGM crew were trying to spot if they hit their target or not, the enemy quickly returned heavy tank fire in retaliation and killed a Syrian ATGM militia man and injured another.Once again the ATGM Militia team(Zebramani) quickly packed up and got to cover on the lower level of their building before another heavy tank round slammed into their position. The ATGM crew who are wounded and rattled have no choice but to leave their dead comrade on the roof for the time being.

CMShockForce2010-05-0313-41-09-65.jpg

The odd shot from Syrian snipers now start to echo here and there throughout Al-Qaryatayn,and it seems as though the enemy are now forming and attacking in 2 big separate Mechanized groups, made up of Tanks,APC's and Infantry. One Enemy Mechanized group with its dismounted infantry is starting to sweep from the East to the West in the Downtown Farms area, and the other Mechanized enemy group with its dismounted infantry are moving South West out of the Downtown Farms area and to the Motor Station area.

CMShockForce2010-05-0313-36-56-58.jpg

GRAD Batt FO Team(Mulazim Awwal Al Sahhah) request's and communicates with the 122mm Rockets to strike areas on the outskirts of the city around the School, Motor Station, and the Downtown Farms area will also be targeted as the enemy swarm all over the farms. It will take around 25 minutes before the strikes begin, but enemy is expected to move into the strike zones, its just a question on timing more then a question on location at this point. The Syrian Militia Forces will have no choice but to take cover and endure this strike, that's if they are still alive when the rockets hits in 25 minutes time, because it is not looking good for the Militia at this moment with all that Coalition fire power approaching them.It is thought by Syrian Command, that in 25 minutes all of the Downtown Farms area will be controlled by the Coalition forces so its best to prepare for the rocket strike now. Also GRAD Batt FO Team(Mulazim Awwal Al Sahhah) has requested 82mm large mortar area strike on the enemy South of the Downtown Farms moving to the Motor Station. Some enemy troops seem to be exposed in the open and GRAD Batt FO Team(Mulazim Awwal Al Sahhah) will try to catch them off guard.Another emergency 82mm mortar strike is called in on a wide area to try and halt or slow the advancing enemy, and pin the enemy foot troops in place,so the main 82mm strike can hit hard and accurately right after.

CMShockForce2010-05-0313-45-56-53.jpg

2nd Group Pick Up PK(Sulimani) have prepared their Technical fighting vehicles and have now shown up to the battle from deep within the city.2nd Pick Up PK(Sulimani) and 6th Pick Up SPG-9(Anwar) will hold for the time being at a separate School that is located inside Al-Qaryatayn(not the one on the outskirts where Syrian forces are defending).4th Pick Up DSKM(Akwal) and 7th Pick Up SPG-9(Abou Masid) will move and hold South of the Mosque area for the time being. The Technical's will remain within the city to maneuver and hit any enemy that comes into the city streets.

Snipers all over the city still continue to take shots here and there and are well concealed.

CMShockForce2010-05-0313-40-36-34.jpg

ATGM Militia team(Zebramani) would now move back onto the roof to secretly set up again and remain hidden as well as retrieve the dead body of their team member. As they remained hidden one ATGM militia man moved and was attempting to retrieve their dead team member, but as the militia man was doing buddy aid, an enemy tank discovered him and shot a heavy cannon round at the ATGM Militia team(Zebramani)roof top location. The large explosion severely injured the one militia man doing buddy aid and killed the other militia man on the ATGM,and now ATGM Militia team(Zebramani)are dead and dying and the weapon is destroyed. The Syrians have now lost their only ATGM.

CMShockForce2010-05-0313-49-45-83.jpg

The two separate Mechanized enemy groups are now closing and gathering outside on the road at the Motor Station compound and sweeping through the Downtown Farms.1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) from A Company (Naqib Abou Hamed) is guarding the Motor Station and now gets their rifles up and ready to fight the overwhelming force that's preparing to assault their compound.3rd Militia Group (Mulazim Andoni) along with 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf) will have no choice but to start fighting the overwhelming enemy force in the Downtown Farms area that are soon to be just outside their door.Any hopes of the Militia hitting the enemy in the rear as previously planned is starting to go out the window and it is not looking good for the Syrian forces at the Motor Station and Downtown Farms area.Very close quarters fighting will soon take place and it will be extremely chaotic.

The Enemies movements reported to Syrian Command.

CMShockForce2010-04-2215-31-12-7-1.jpg

Exact enemy strength is unknown.

Side note: It was mentioned that the AI has multiple plans for the missions in the Red Campaign.Enemy plans can change for different players, and will not necessarily follow what is seen in these reports.

It was clear at this point the enemy were going to attack the Downtown Farms and the Motor Station compound in force.Enemy armored vehicles would move ahead of the enemy infantry and the enemy vehicles would remain close to each other making it hard to catch a rival vehicle on its own without support. As one of the enemy Mechanized groups started to sweep through the Downtown farms, the second enemy Mechanized group had its armor gathered outside the Motor Station compound and appeared to be waiting for the infantry to catch up, before the assault on the Motor Station began.

As the enemy infantry were crossing the open near the road to gather outside the Motor Station compound, Syrian mortars started to hit all around them. The Syrian emergency mortar strike was a little off target, but it was still managing to get some mortar shells to land just meters away from the enemy infantry. This emergency strike pinned up probably a good half of the enemy Infantry, and the second Syrian Mortar strike would start to hit the area shortly after when the enemy infantry got back up to their feet and started moving. The enemy Infantry were somewhat cluttered in the open in the kill zone of the mortar strike and had no choice but to run through the gauntlet to the other side near the Motor Station.Snipers would also continue to shoot at the enemy infantry attempting to cross the open and it looked for the moment as though the Syrian forces were going to deal a heavy blow to the enemy Infantry running through the open kill zone.Syrian Mortar rounds would hit within a wide area and were spread out, but many rounds managed to impact near the enemy infantry as they ran.Smoke and dust was being kicked up and for the moment the Mortars dominated the scene, but as the Syrian mortars hit near the enemy troops, the enemy troops would keep moving forward and through the impact areas. With shells exploding in their faces and all around them, they managed to get through the Syrian Mortar and Sniper gauntlet with the occasional heavy Syrian MG fire, with very few casualties.

CMShockForce2010-04-2516-25-34-25.jpg

While this was going on, 3rd Militia Group (Mulazim Andoni) and 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf) were now eye to eye with the foe.Enemy Tanks and APC's were now sitting just outside the Militia groups houses with enemy infantry approaching, and the Militia men were starting to get get shaken up by the presence of such a powerful and numerous foe.Knowing that the Militia groups positions could not be concealed from the enemy for much longer and that the Militia men were getting anxious, 3rd Militia Group (Mulazim Andoni) and 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf) decided that now is the time to hit the enemy near them with force and all at once in an attempt to completely catch the foe off guard to inflict the most damage with multiple RPG and AK fire. The signal was given and pure close quarters chaos unleashed in the Downtown Farms area.RPG's would be fired multiple times hitting multiple enemy Tanks and APC's, and as one APC was completely destroyed from many hits, enemy vehicles would instantaneously return heavy fire.Explosions from rockets and tanks and grenades would send everybody into an uncontrollable frenzy and Militia men would scatter and run in all kinds of directions. There was such pandemonium and confusion that the two rival sides would pass by each other shoulder to shoulder and would scramble to fire in all kinds of directions.Militia men would be running in front and behind manned enemy Tanks and APC's.The enemy turrets could not move fast enough to capture the Militia men who are on top of them, and face to face fighting took place between the two infantry groups on the streets beside the enemy vehicles.

CMShockForce2010-04-2516-42-22-55.jpg

The momentum of the enemy was so strong in the Downtown Farms that all the fighting that took place lasted no longer then 3-4 minutes maybe even less. With every second that passed, some one got shot and the enemy fire power was to much for 3rd Militia Group (Mulazim Andoni) and 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf).Eventually 3rd Militia Group (Mulazim Andoni)was completely destroyed. Some militia men dropped their rifles and fled, but the majority were killed and severely wounded.Seconds later 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf) were defeated. The majority of 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf) were also killed and severely wounded while some others fled. There would only be one man remaining in 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf) and in the Downtown Farms, and that would be Mulazim Al Sahaf himself. He has lost his Militia, but he has stayed to continue the fight, and for now he remains hidden, waiting for the enemy to pass by.The Downtown Farms are now completely under enemy control, but not safe, because Syrian Rockets will be striking the area at some point.

CMShockForce2010-04-2516-50-49-38.jpg

1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah)from A Company (Naqib Abou Hamed) who is ordered to Hold and Defend the Motor Station compound is now about to engage in the fight for their lives. There is no use in withdrawing from the Motor Station, because outside the compound is open territory and there are to many enemy around for them to make it across alive. As the enemy occupied the roads outside the Motor Station they began to drive around the mines. It was unclear if any of the many enemy vehicles triggered an anti tank mine, but it seemed as if none were triggered and if so they did very little damage.Enemy APC's could now be seen moving at the front entrance to the Motor Station and 1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) started to fire their RPG's.Enemy APC's would take RPG hits from close, and one enemy APC would become disabled, but the armor was thick enough that most enemy APC's kept on rolling past when hit.As 1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) were shooting at the crew of the disabled enemy APC, an enemy Tank rolled up to the entrance and enemy infantry started to assault the Motor Station compound.More intense and close fighting would take place, but it would be a losing battle for 1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) as enemy APC's came into the Motor Station compound.Under intense fire from the enemy tank and infantry and with APC's starting to infiltrate the compound, 1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) found themselves in a bitter fight to the end with all their RPG gunners dead. With only one way out and an enemy tank guarding it, some Syrian troops decided to drop their weapons and flee to hide while others stood to fight the enemy infantry that are now assaulting the compound, room to room.1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) would fight the enemy room to room and in some cases in the same room face to face, and the Motor Station would eventually fall to the enemy as all the other Syrian forces looked on at the close quarters insanity 1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) had to endure.1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Sabah) has now been completely wiped out and the Motor Station lost, all within about 5 minutes or less.

CMShockForce2010-04-2516-34-10-05.jpg

Seeing how quickly the enemy were able to win the Motor Station, a rocket asset was ordered to shift its strike area from the Downtown Farms to the Motor Station and surrounding area where nothing but enemy occupied. As it stands now for the Rocket strikes that have yet to hit,one is targeting the Downtown Farms, another is targeting the Motor Station area, and one is targeting around the Usuf-Aga Farm just South West of the School on the outskirts of the city.

CMShockForce2010-04-2516-55-30-98.jpg

At this point Syrian command is very doubtful that the enemy can be repelled and is horrified at the slaughter he saw his troops go through. It's very clear that if there's any chance at hurting the enemy, it will have to be done in the city streets of Al-Qaryatayn, but for now the Syrian forces are getting steam rolled by the powerful enemy Tanks and APC's.It will take extraordinary bravery, as well as skill from the Syrian forces to fight this foe, and the Syrian forces need to gain themselves some kind of battlefield victory in order to get their moral up and to swing the momentum in their favor.

It seems that another enemy Mechanized group of unknown strength has now appeared on the main road in the North where the other enemy Mechanized forces previously came from. This new enemy Mechanized force is moving to attack the Hospital area and enemy APC's start to move down the street from the North right beside the Hospital compound on the East side of the Hospital. As the enemy APC's move beside and pass the Hospital, A Company HQ (Naqib Abou Hamed) with the Command Squad(Anwar) and 2nd Platoon(Mulazim Abu Sofian ) start to ambush the enemy APC's and hit them with multiple RPG's, and fighting now starts at the Hospital area along the road.

It also appears now that both enemy Mechanized groups at the Downtown Farm area and at the Motor Station might be getting ready to assault the School compound.B Company HQ (Naqib Zubromawi) and Command Squad(Al Nur) along with 1st Platoon (Mulazim Al Mubi), now understand fully what will be coming for them. They prepare as best they can in full knowledge that these next minutes could be their last as they attempt to defend the Schools compound. There's no doubt that they will face the same kind of room to room and face to face fighting that their comrades went through, with enemy armor breathing in their faces.2nd Platoon(Mulazim Al Mahalel) who is ordered to Hold and Defend the Al-Abakar Farm has yet to be seen by the enemy and remain hidden. It is hoped that the enemy will bypass 2nd Platoon(Mulazim Al Mahalel), because as it stands now,2nd Platoon(Mulazim Al Mahalel) will cause more harm to themselves then the enemy if they start to fire and give away their positions.

So far setting up Syrian forces outside the City of Al-Qaryatayn has proved to be disastrous and Syrian command will have to find a way to retake the Motor Station if possible.

There would only be one man remaining in 4th Militia Group (Mulazim Al Sahaf) and in the Downtown Farms, and that would be Mulazim Al Sahaf himself. He has lost his Militia, but he has stayed to continue the fight, and for now he remains hidden, waiting for the enemy to pass by.

Damn, he is a brave guy! :)

Looks interesting, keep up in same way ;)

To finish it we need not less a month. We want to do not less than 17 missions, already done 10 of them, and 2 in work.

But work and private life by time leaves less time for CMSF, than it would be desirable.

P.S. Try DEMO, it is all that I can offer now ;)
