tiger123
Do I need to log into the site in order to by a new game or module. If so, do I need main site or forum access?
Moon
No, you do not need to log in in order to buy for the first time. When you place an order, an account is automatically created for you (and you are logged in automatically as well). For future orders, if you want to use the same account (which is a good idea), you need to log in. The forum is completely independent of the main site/store. You do not need a forum account to buy. More questions about buying from Battlefront are in our Knowledgebase at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk. Really, pretty much ANY question you can think of is answered there
tiger123
Thankyou for the reply Moon. I am not a first time buyer. I bought CM ShockForce when it came out in 2007. Problem is now I have lost my Username and Password for the main site which I need in order to buy anything and when I try to retreive them I get a "no corresponding user found" message. Please help as I need to buy some games shortly!
MikeyD
I believe its not BFC but the seperate elicense game security service that has control over this. They'll let you retrieve your password data up to one year(?) after puchase I think. There's been more knowledgeable discussions elsewhere on this forum. So if my machine crashes and I lose the post-it-note stuck on my cork board I'll be in the same boat as you.
Moon
I bought CM ShockForce when it came out in 2007. CMSF came out before Oct 1, 2007. If you bought CMSF then you do not automatically have an account. Again, if it says that there is no corresponding user found, then there isn't any. It's really pretty simple. The database does not lie

Don't listen to MikeyD, he is completely wrong about pretty much anything he wrote here :-) The login password and the eLicense key are completely different things. Neither expires, ever, and you can retrieve both indefinitely. Move on, nothing to see here...
Battlefront.com
Good thing MikeyD knows artwork better than he does the Battlefront sales mechanisms Steve

tiger123
Thanks for the replies everyone. Sorry if I appear dumb but after reading Moon`s post should I go ahead and Register. But the form says "do I wan`t to log-in" and register is greyed out. Don`t be too hard on each other. Both done stirling work for Combat Mission. I got CMBO and the others when they came out. That Sherman was OK wasn`t it?
Battlefront.com
I couldn't be hard on MikeyD if my life depended on it Tiger123, It does sound like you may need to Register. The link shouldn't be grayed out, even if you are logged in, which I'm sure you are not. Try this link: Direct link to Registration Steve
Moon
No, you do not need to log in, and hence you also do not need to register. When you buy for the first time, you enter your address and billing and shipping info, and a new account is created for you automatically. There is no need to manually register at all. If you look at www.battlefront.com/store, step by step instructions of what to do next are listed there on every page.
