mike_the_wino
um, that was a 500km metoer, yes? Do we have simulations for 50km, 5km, etc.? How about one that just wipes out France?
Elmar Bijlsma
um, that was a 500km metoer, yes? Do we have simulations for 50km, 5km, etc.? How about one that just wipes out France? Yeah, that was more or less what I was thinking. It would've been better if the meteorite was a more "Oops, didn't see that one coming" size. Something that big was a bit overkill.
Stalins Organ
500 km - we might be able to see it coming, but what could we do about it?!!
Dave H
um, that was a 500km metoer, yes? Do we have simulations for 50km, 5km, etc.? How about one that just wipes out France? Don't you think this is carrying that inferiority complex about California wines a bit too far? If the Earth has only been hit six times in a few billion years I like my chances of missing the next one.

SgtMuhammed
That's not what I heard. According to a couple chat boards it already happened and killed 1 billion people in Galveston. The government is just hushing it up till the FEMA terraforming teams can get done.
mike_the_wino
Don't you think this is carrying that inferiority complex about California wines a bit too far? Nothing against the wines...it's the French themselves. Maybe a neutron bomb would be more in line. Take out the people but leave the buildings intact.

Michael Emrys
500 km - we might be able to see it coming' date=' but what could we do about it?!![/quote'] Wail, gnash your teeth, rip your clothes to shreds, rip out all your hair, cry aloud at the cruel injustice of life, weep bitter tears. That should do for a start. Michael
