Hannibal
How much of a time saving is it having done all the research in Combat mission 1-3 I assume you are pluging in the data you have already collected for squads and Tanks from the first seriess of games .I know you are working on the game engine models and such but I assume you are not changing the unit data itself .Guns still have same penatrating power tanks still have the same armour ratings .
purpheart23
I imagine it would be a recalibration of penetration, density of armor, so on and so forth for the new engine more than anything else but then again being a no nothing i could be totally wrong.
Mord
I have been wondering this myself. That's a wealth of data they've collected over the last 8 years or so...I imagine it has to cut some of the time down. At least when it comes to researching infantry units, guns, vehicles, and the dates for when and where they were used. Mord.
Sgt.Rock of Easy Company
I'd assume that with the new engine and the 1 to 1 ballistics that they would be able to add a few more aspects to armor combat; like "edge effects", if it wasn't already in CMx1 to begin with (and many of those other obscure physics phenomena).
Redwolf
The data isn't identical between the three CMx1 games either.
