birdstrike Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 My first scenario for public testing. This scenario was created to test the advantages/disadvatages of mounted vs. dismounted infantry and vehicles. Playable as Blue: US Stryker force has to take out an enemy insurgent commander hiding in a city district. Lots of narrow streets will provide plenty of possibilities to get your troops killed. Enjoy New Download Thanks for volunteering and I'd appreciate any feedback. EDIT: New version for 1.03 for download. Changes: - made small changes to the map - new briefing and tactical map - randomized enemy starting positions [ September 01, 2007, 06:19 AM: Message edited by: birdstrike ] 0 Quote
General_solomon Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Bird: I like the narrow streets but I you gotta please increase the time. There is no way I am going to be speeding through corners. 0 Quote
kevinkins Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Gee I long for the wide spaces of the east front in ww2. Modern urban battles are tedious. But they are in the news - what do I know. Carry on ... kevin 0 Quote
tc237 Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Yeah, it is a shame. But, this game is about modern urban battle. I'm sure there are some ww2 east front games out there. 0 Quote
jomni Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 It's very easy to create 4km x 4km open desert maps to stage tank vs. tank fights. I did one but got bored (no satisfaction). 0 Quote
metalbrew Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Birdstrike, There's a huge IED floating in thin air about 2km off the map. I've never seen stuff placed off the map before so I'm guessing this is some kind of bug. Would you like to place that IED somewhere on the map? 0 Quote
birdstrike Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 D'oh! I forgot to delete that one. It's redundant, so no need to worry I'm about to rerelease a slightly modified version, but I will probably wait for the 1.03 patch first. 0 Quote
birdstrike Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 The download above is now the new version. The d*mn thing still causes me some headaches with pathfinding, but anyway I think things are MUCH better after 1.03. 0 Quote
