Other Means
Any word on this? And can someone confirm whether the engagement ranges for armor has been *reduced* to 500m or *averages* 500m? I think IRL it was about 350m in the ETO but I've no data on what it what for the Eastern Front.
Moon
We still need to do some more testing before annuoncing the min specs. But the game does require a pretty good computer to run, so much is for certain. Which is why we're going to be very thorough in testing before releasing the specs. The engagement ranges "average" 500 meters (and less) depending on the map. I don't think there even is a hard limit built in except by map size and design, but even if there was you'll never notice it because of the map design. PanzerMike
Check out this link: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/theatreofwar/interview.html Strategy Informer: What are the current system requirements for World War II RTS? David Philippov: If your PC has the following hardware you will he able to get maximum impressions from the game - Processor 3Mhz, 1Gb RAM, GeForce 6800 or Radeon X800 video card. I would also recommend using Creative SB Audigy 2 or similar audio card because or sound is not just good, we were also working on a realistic sound! Megakill
Adding to the sound topic - guys, you really want to have a 5.1 sound system. Sound rocks!
edgars
What about Mac?
gibsonm
Don’t think so. Closest you’ll get is an Intel Mac running Windows XP natively with Boot Camp. Depending on the publishes specs (TBA) you might be able to use an iMac, MacBook Pro (MacBook video card probably wont cut it) or have to wait for the G5 replacement box (due out sometime before NYE). Battlefront.com
gibsonm is correct. No Mac version. In general if the developer is from outside of the US you can forget about a Mac version. The Mac only has a significant presence in the US, though of course the machines are found everywhere. Just not in enough numbers to make it likely that a development team even has the capability of making a Mac version, not to mention the incentive. The Boot Camp option is hopefully a viable one.
